Learn from your mistakes, please! Being a newbie isn't your fault; you're just new. Being a scrub, however, is entirely your fault.
This is all REQUIRED READING if you hope to be any good at Magic The Gathering. Well, maybe not all of it unless you are totally new to the game. Yes, I know that most of you have read most of these articles, but take the time to read the ones that you haven't already read. They're all great. Also, it doesn't hurt to re-read them as many people over time forget some of these fundamental concepts.
Even if you know and understand these concepts, they should be drilled into your head. There are articles for just about all players. Some stuff you may have learned when you first started playing, but even new and old players can benefit from these articles. Some of the stuff will be pretty obvious, but some of it will actually be a good idea or reminder.
Some of these articles are long. Read them anyways. They're all very good, and they'll all improve your game.
I know I have missed a lot of articles. If you feel there are articles that need to be here please private message me the link to them.
Marabron The Rover: Its people like you that get other people annoyed enough to flame and troll.
All of theese articles are very good (Ive read most and I assume the quality is general :p) yes and even when you know you are a very good player you will benefit from reading theese things. Magic theory is hugely important for imroving your game and many people fail to realize this.
But try listing some of the theory articles from here on mtgs as well. Some of them are very well written, especially the one for newbies.. but also many of the intermediate and advanced ones are very good.

I never said that they weren't good articles but personnally I think it rude to advocate an insult in a serious manner with no data to back it up.
To be honest I have studied some magic theory but it isn't all theory in a scientific sense. It is much more similar to a hypothesis than an accepted fact. I find that without expiramentation much "theory" lacks grounds.
And thats a great avatar nan.

Thanks, but dont double post It can get you warnings.
Well, it wasnt meant as an insult, but your comment seemed very arrogant and could easily get u flames/trolls.
As for the definition of theory I think you might have to redo that post A theory isnt an accsepted fact per se, its a hypothesis that it partially or fully backed up by tests or mathetmatics.
Also it should be obvious to anyone that reading theese articles will improve your game as long as you are experienced enough in the game to understad what the articles are teaching you. Magic is a extremly complex game and understanding what makes it tick is critical if you want to improve your game over a certain point.

I have been trying to get more articles up on here. However, with the Christmas and everything, it is hard since I work, go to school. There are plent of more good articles out there. I just need to find the time to do it. Hopefully on my next day off I can update it again.
I read most of the articles, and while I was reading I was laughing. Cause most of the what I didn't know seemed painfully obvious that I should know. Like how ofter I go into the hobby shop saying, "Hey guys look at my new deck!" and then showing it to everyone meanwhile, they are mentally making a list of everything in the deck. Also I learned I need to put more land in my decks. Need more, must have more. They are really good, except for that parts that name famous decks as I never have any idea what is in them, or is that something I should know?
My thanks for your efforts in compiling this list of great articles. I only recent stumbled over your list after a pointer from Feuerdrache. Having now read most of the articles, I would like to commend the recent "Seven Coins" article by Noah Well: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/daily/nw42.
An excellent article on the art of the Mulligan that has helped me and my playgroup out quite a bit as we try to get more serious about competitive Magic:
SCG has a nice collection of classic articles as well that might have some things worth reading. There is some duplication between this and what SCG has but not 100%
Would be better if you organized them by category. As a long time card player but new magic player, it would be nice to skip all the mind games and soft cheating articles.
I know this is old and all but I think it's a good resource and would love to read the articles if the links were fixed. I'm having trouble finding them on my own.
