Your opponents are probably correct to gang up on you. With blue's card draw and counter magic, and FOUR cards your general can combo off of, you present a huge threat that they will probably struggle to stop if they don't wipe you early. I would do the same, and I do exactly that whenever I run against a deck that can just insta-win that easily, especially if it can also protect that win with FoW.
I am serious, they gang up on me, then wonder why they lose all the time to Avenger of Replcating.... REALLY?!

What do I hate about multiplayer? It isn't skill, or good decks, it is politics.
Politics is a skill. It is mostly useless in a duel outside of the occasional Jedi Mind Trick, but in multiplayer it is one of the most important skills.
"A rich man thinks all other people are rich, and an intelligent man thinks all other people are similarly gifted. Both are always terribly shocked when they discover the truth of the world. You, my dear brother, are a pious man." - Strahd von Zarovich
That's metagame politics. It's a very real part of multiplayer magic. Couples, siblings, or other apparent unspoken non-aggresion pacts should be taken into consideration as part of threat assessment.

I just want everyone to pay attention to the game. It's pointless to be playing cards if people are constantly getting distracted. This is a more common cause for a poor multiplayer experience than anything related to the game.
As far as the game is concerned, I feel like the game progression can be too predictable based on match-ups. You almost know before hand that 'this deck can only kill one person' or 'this guy has to beat that guy in order for this other one to win' or 'you don't have a chance if he stabilizes, gang up on him'. People either follow that script or deviate from it, and thus match-ups are easily decided by players decisions rather than card interactions.

Decks:
Legacy: RWBG Goblins RRR Burn WBU Affinity UBR Sac-Land Tendrils! BBBPox
Next possible deck: D&T, but that just wouldn't be right.
Modern: R Goblins (work in progress)
Standard: I only care about standard when Goblins is a deck.
Limited: I only care about limited when Goblins are in the set.
I hate playing against decks I hate like my friend Mollys dwarf deck and my friend Markus's blue deck. In one vs one I only have to play against one hated deck but in multiplayer they are ALL there! It is upseting.

Nicol Bolas is so awesome! And so is Kokusho! Bolas x Kokusho 4eva!!! <3

Things that bother me greatly in multiplayer games:
1. Players that take very long turns each time (usually blue players); We used to play with this one guy who turns took so incredibly long I went out and bought a timer just for him and would force him to take his turn in less than 60 seconds, much to the approval of all other players at the table.
2. People that don't pay attention to the cards or when it's their turn and then 'notice' something in play they would have countered or killed earlier. If everyone is watching every play...how do you miss much?? Those players also draw the game out asking questions they should know the answer to already.
3. A table full of 6 people ...4 of which have White or Green decks and no disenchants ...to take care of some artifact or enchantment the whole board is losing to. Then when you ask them 'Do you have any disenchants in your deck?' they say 'I don't know'. How do you not know what's in your deck??
4. And the ABSOLUTE worst... a player who either hard targets one guy for 10-15 pts of damage or plays a Wrath or Armageddon and then next play 'Oops..there is my ride' or 'I have to go ...sorry.. I can't finish'. What a douche. We have gone back and 'negated' his spells in those instances ...putting our lands or creatures back in play, after instructing him not to start a multiplayer game ever again he can't finish.
Except I'm pretty sure they haven't been doing 'nothing.' Surely you would have noticed them building up resources and sculpting their hands. Maybe you should have been attacking the guy doing nothing.
I'll be honest. He didn't "totally jack the win from the current board leader." He was the current board leader, you all just failed to realize it.

People do nothing. People sometimes get screwed on land, and do nothing most of the game. People sometimes have 5/6/7 casting costs in hand and don't play anything, turn after turn after turn. Its not like they were building an army or putting combo together and went ignored. Then suddenly, throw out a removal spell or sweep that alters the battle between the two biggest despite the fact they were essentially non-contributing all this time, or cannot win regardless.
Okay, yes. They probably could have been killed earlier in the game. But people are usually empathetic towards those having a bad go, or people getting screwed only having 2 lands by turn 7. Taking advantage and knocking someone out in the first few rounds so that they can sit by themselves looking through cards and waiting for everyone else to finish isn't such a nice thing to do to your friends.
INB4 more "should" statements: whether or not you approve of such courtesies in my playgroup is moot.

See, I like that =) It allows me to get more on the board unnoticed or put combo together easier. I announce every play I make; if someone is watching TV and misses it, thats good with me!
Slow players are kinda meh, in multiples it really sucks
Players who are distracted by texting or whatever because it's not their turn
Those who think they know the rules when they don't
Too much politicking. When it starts to go in circles, it's time to move on
People who don't build their decks properly to deal with their meta (no removal etc)
Games where everyone is playing the same color
People who whine about removal, discard, counters. Deal with it.

Interesting that you used the word "honest", because politics and bluffing often complement each other.
