I adore owls, and thankfully, Magic is chock full of them. I'm trying to collect every owl card in existence, but it's difficult because there are owls in the art of cards that have nothing to do with the creature type 'bird'. I'm considering going through each set card by card, but before I devote time to that, I'd like to request your guys' help.
(about the English language) It's kinda like a raft that was cobbled together from parts of three different boats and since then has been kept barely afloat with crude repairs every time a leak appeared.
"How did you know what you sought was redemption and not righteous vengeance?"
"You know what's dangerous about you, Doctor? It's not that you make people take risks, it's that you make them want to impress you. You make it so they don't want to let you down. You have no idea how dangerous you make people to themselves when you're around."
I'm looking as hard as I can but I can't see an owl on the Snare. Mind helping me out?
The silver device in Cyclopean Snare's art always looked vaguely bird-like to me. I don't know if that was the intention, which is why I left it to you to whether it was owl enough.

sorry, i cannot help you but i love your Owl spirit. I hope you find all the cards you are looking for. best of luck, Magnus
Hee, thanks for the supporting post.
I personally use a monster mini binder which holds 60 cards. We're up to 47 so that should be plenty, at least until I decide to go for foils and foreign language cards.
Saw your post a while ago and came across another card for your collection: the Starter 1999 version of Touch of Brilliance. It looks like there's an owl perched on the woman's shoulder.
To the OP:
If you could arrange the owl cards alphabetically, that'd help. I have a hard time figuring out what has been posted and what hasn't, and many cards have had reprints.
How about "You may discard your hand, pay 5 life, rip this card, remove 3 digits from any number of target fingers you control, and concede at the end of the next end step rather than pay It Will Go Through!!'s mana cost.
Whippoorwill is very owly. Though, technically a different bird.

Whippoorwills and other nightjars (a cool word I'd like to see on a magic card) are thought to be closely related to owls, plus in both cases many are nocturnal, so thats a good catch!
To AutumnOwl- Good luck with this endeavor! I'm a bird guy myself, and I've been keeping a MtG bird art collection too. I have been collecting it all though, as long as its not too expensive (Baleful Strix being in decks).

There is one I'm missing that I remember the art of, but not the name. It's a white card, with this guy surrounded by spirits, one of which is an owl.
Anyways, thanks!
I recommend searching for cards illustrated by NeNe Thomas. She snuck owls into several of her paintings for Magic.
I'm looking as hard as I can but I can't see an owl on the Snare. Mind helping me out?
As for NeNe...you are fantastic! I'm looking through her art now and I've already found this gem:
EDIT: And Stunted Growth and Necropolis. Excellent! Thank you.

It's funny because both of them are in my owl binder! I must have missed a page or something, thanks!
Grr. And I thought Baleful Strix was expensive! Thanks for the finds, though.
I've looked at Transmute Artifact's art several times and never noticed the owl in the art, heh. Neat.
Nah, I just don't see it. I'm sorry!

Bump, and it's been added to the main list.

Misthollow Griffin looks owlish to me.
Edit: sorry, didn't see it on your original list. Nevermind

Reckless Waif; It's the red Delver of Secrets.

Strix's :3
Nah, I think it's based on a Gyrfalcon, a true falcon and not an owl.
