I purchased a factory sealed complete set of the Lorwyn expansion set (301 regular cards - no foils). Its in the white box with the original seal. I'm strongly considering opening it up and placing all the cards in a ultra-pro premium binder so I can enjoy the cards. However, will this 'destroy' the value of the cards? I spent a decent dime on the factory seal and I do not want the cards to lose value just by breaking the seal. Does anyone have advice/experience in this matter? Thank you
(On a somewhat related note I live in an apartment with very thin walls and the internet meme "Surprise buttsecks!!" isn't just on the internet anymore. Man that girl sounded pissed off.)

There is no such thing as a "factory sealed" set of Magic cards. WOTC has been staunchly against printing complete sets since the game's inception. Crack it open and enjoy it.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.

I paid $200 (which included shipping). Its expensive but i really like the set. But, I want to take all the cards out and double-sleeve them and store them in an sewen binder. I'm debating whether to do that or not.

If you look closely, it's a "MOL" Factory Sealed set. You can get one entire set of cards from any expansion, apparently factory-sealed, by redeeming one of each card from any expansion currently in print on Magic Online.
So this is legit.
On the whole, the whole set is worth somewhere around $200, so it won't lose too much value if you crack the box.

I am curious about what "MOL" means. May you please define it. Thank you
if you have a full set, or full premium set you can redeem your magic online cards for specific sets that are up for redemption for i beleive its $5+ shipping or just $5 or something

On this note, would it be cheaper to assemble the collection online and then order the redemption, or order the cards offline?

Why do I like posting in lists:
1. It allows me to express multiple thoughts without a need to write an essay or make multiple posts. 2. I tend to have multiple thoughts at the same time. 3. Having the right first opinion is sometimes more glorious than having a grammatically correct second opinion. 4. It allows you as a reader to pick out the most erroneous point and counter-comment, allowing you the chance to express an opinion and look like a sensible person when I sound like a dummy.

After one year of the set being out online, WotC stops printing set redemption for that set, and you can no longer order them once the currently produced product has been exhausted. Given the age of Lorwyn, it is definitely impossible to still redeem it online.
As for currently redeemable sets, rares are generally cheaper online than in paper, so some people try to redeem online to save money, which in turn raises the prices of mythics. So, unless you buy each card over a period of time at a price dip, it generally won't save any money, especially because the shipping is ~10$ iirc.

Nah, its generally cheaper online. Thragtusk as an example is like $8 cheaper. This adds up over the entire set.
I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?
When Aegis Angel is born?
When Huntmaster of the Fells arrives?
When Kitchen Sphinx lands?
When Faerie Imposter busts in?
When Dread Cacodemon pops in?
When Malfegor shows up?
I was thinking about doing this but i was going to get a big picture frame and order the cards in numerical order across it then hang it in my place. You could consider that?

My foil Worldwake sets from MTGO came in sealed white boxes, just as that Lorwyn set did.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
There is no such thing?? I’m guessing you aren’t a MTGO player and don’t know about bot card farmers. Dude, search Mtg complete set on eBay. They come direct from WoTC and are 100% legit. They’re original cards, not some kind of sketchy replicas/reprints. If you collect every card in a set, you can redeem them for real, paper cards. There are whole communities of people farming cards and selling them for hundreds and thousands of dollars online. I just watched a complete set of Stronghold end for $350 on eBay (including Mox Diamond and Sliver Queen).
You might want to check on things before claiming they don’t exist.

Edit
Ive never heard of this kind of product...are you sure it's not some kind of repack?
Everyone is so quick to cry repack. A repack pertains to boosters. In this case if someone tried that it would be a reseal. Check out eBay. Complete sets are pretty common. And they’re awesome. It’s a legit box of every card in a set and has an official seal/sticker from WoTC. Just because YOU don’t know about it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist...
