I mean initially or using only abilities that the creature itself can use. For instance the Transcendent Master has the creature type "Human Cleric Avater" at it's base form. Then there is the Figure of Destiny which can become a "Kithkin Spirit Warrior Avatar".
So basically I want to know which creature has the most types in base form, and the creature which has the most types through other means (but only using abilities on it's card).
I know I may have worded it a bit weird but I did the best I could. Thx ahead of time for any help! thx!
As far as I'm aware, creatures never have more than three creature types. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Coiling Oracle. Otherwise, you've got Changelings.
Piper is correct - Seton's Scout is the only creature with four creature types in Oracle.
Incidentally, Nameless Race holds the record at the other end of the spectrum.
LOL! Good call on both accounts!
But lets be honest... Nameless race was pretty much designed to be fodder. The card's a joke and has never seen play. Why else would be #14 on the all time list of worst Magic cards in history?
Anyhow, the best I can come up with myself is a game in the top 8 of a PTQ back during Urza block in which we were starting game 3 with time already expired, so the tiebreaker rule was that whoever had more life after 3 turns would win. And I lost to... healing salve.
You're saying that with March of the Machines we get
Artifact + Creature = Artifact Creature
Then by use of the Transmuter's second ability we get.
Artifact Creature - Artifact = _______
Too bad the rulings state
12/1/2004: Neurok Transmuter's second ability removes the type "artifact" -- and any artifact subtypes -- from the artifact creature it targets. It doesn't remove any other types or any subtypes of other types, and it doesn't remove supertypes. If the artifact was Legendary, it's still Legendary, and the "Legendary rule" applies normally.
So Artifact Creature - Artifact = Creature
I would say we've covered the cards fairly well that have long type lines.

This, we don't have a legendary changeling so this Misftorm ultimus is the one with most creature types
Legendary isn't a creature type though. It's a supertype that can refer to any permanent.
You got 99 attackers but I'm blocking with 1.

I realize that the rules separate types and super types.
But for the most cramped type line in print, I think we have a winner.

Ah, I stand corrected I didn't read that far down.
But a typeless creature or any other card is not the point of this thread and thus this discussion really doesn't belong here.
