Today, I spent about 100 bucks on boosters, the first money I have spent on MTG in almost 10 years. I bought a variety of Innistrad and Core set boosters, plus one Alliance booster. Since I am just getting back into the game, I was hoping for some info about what the hot cards are? What should I be hoping to pull for trade bait or to go right back to the game store for more boosters? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Now I just have to wait to get off work so I can go home and open them, since I made my self wait.

I am a firm believer in the philosophy of a ruling class. Especially since I rule!
Innistrad: Snapcaster Mage, Liliana of the Veil, Garruk Relentless, Dual Lands, Olivia Voldaren, Geist of Saint Traft
M2012: Any planeswalkers, any Titan, angelic destiny, phantasmal image, solemn simulacrum, dual lands
Welcome back to M:TG...I just got back into it myself after a 10 year hiatus too. The last time I played I had an allowance...now I've got a paycheck. Well...until I walk into my LGS that is =P
Oh...and read up on the rules. They changed them since we last played (no more mana burn! no more damage on the stack during combat!) Planeswalkers will take some getting used to, but they're a lot of fun when you get the hang of them.

I have a sneaking suspicion he got these at his LGS, not ebay. Reputable stores don't map anyways.

Online ones maybe, but most brick and mortar shops don't have the time to map, esp when they have 14 year olds draft, open a couple of good rares, and then they trade them in for a hot pocket and large soda. So little Jimmy just traded in $30 in cards that will sell, paid $15 for the draft, and maybe walked away with a full stomch and a awesome card for his casual deck. Seems easier than treasure hunting.

Primordial Hydra can be fun if you have enough mana to make it worthwhile. Birds of Paradise is a staple of any mana ramp deck.
Chandra, the Firebrand is moderately playable, you need the right deck.
Phantasmal Image[/CARD can be good, if you get the rest of the supporting Illusions and a Lord of the Unreal, or are smart enough to copy something with Hexproof.
Glacial Fortress, Woodland Cemetery, Sunpetal Grove and Kessig Wolf Run are decent pulls. The wolf run is a staple in current green/red mana ramp decks abusing the Wolf Run and Inkmoth Nexus.
A lot of the rest can be decent in the right deck, but may end up being just casual or "library" material.
