had a guy last night bug the tar outta me...after every thing i did he would ask "you done?"...play land, "you done?", play spell, "you done?", attack "you done", thats all on one turn....driving me crazy...yeah, i have a full board against you having no creatures, no ill play a land and say "go"....gimme a break
Here's another one: coaching. When a friend of my opponent finishes his match first and wants to watch, that's fine. But, I dislike when they attempt to play rules lawyer (that's why we have judges) or help the other player make smart choices, since they may have been able to see my hand too. I usually start playing my cards literally close to the vest when this happens.
W/R/T the whole snap-drag-snap thing: I call shenanigans on preventing double draws. I've seen people double draw, or dump the top card off their deck, many-a-time with this technique. It's not infallible, and it is irritating.

I have to agree with this. Whenever I see someone at my LGS do this, I have to assume they are cheating. Of course, getting around the rules seems to be an accepted part of the metagame at my LGS, so I have to assume most people are cheating.
I'm pretty easy going, so nothing really bothers me too much, there were a couple of standouts though:
> When I was just starting at tourneys a lot of people would get impatient when I needed to actually look and read the cards they used. Untill then I'd only played schoolyard magic with Onslaught & Oddessy at best, how was I to know what Broodstar, and Goblin Sharpshooter did?
> I once knew a guy who'd rap the table with his knuckles at the end of every turn to indicate he'd passed the turn. I suppose this is the same as card flicking, but I sure found it offputting.

While that might be a useful way to pass a turn in card games, I don't think it's recognized in the Magic rules.
I find it incredibly aggravating when players excessively tap their cards with their hands stiff and extended after they do every little thing like they are making sure the card is secure on the table or something.
For example, a player will play a creature and then proceed to double tap it with their fingers straight and together. And then do it again when they are activating abilities of things. Do you think players do this to be petty or is there a reason? maybe its me being way too observant but it drives me up a wall. Like, I get it. you played a creature. congratulations you activated its ability, you don't have to obnoxiously tap (physically with hands, fingers, or palms. not tapping it in regards to the game mechanic) your cards every time lol. I dont know if this makes sense or if people know what I'm talking about because I havent found anyone mentioning this weird habit. The flickering, hand shuffling, sliding cards when drawing them, etc typical weird habits are annoying too but this one tops the list for me
people who do something like cast oblivion ring and announce their target as the card hits the table, then argue you can't counter it. similarly people who put triggers on the stack, and then act as if all of those triggers resolved already announcing their targets, then don't understand how you can respond. for example lets say they have brago and detention sphere, instead of saying blink detention sphere with brago's effect, its instead: blink detention sphere target that creature. then they argue the effect still happens even if you kgrip in response to bragos blink trigger because they already announced the target. so essentially, playing the game like their opponents don't exist and not recognizing priority.
also pile shuffling. stop wasting time. this isn't effective.
and lastly, take backs. i ******* hate take backs. i will never let you do them unless its a casual nothing on the line learning game, and even then i generally won't because you won't learn if you get to take things back.
for example, player casts a 5 drop creature and says pass, then goes well actually i want to do this other thing instead and picks up the creature they just played to try and do the other thing. no. sorry not sorry, you announced the spell, you let it hit the table. its done. be better.
oh, and players who gloat about how great their cards/deck are... without evaluating the field. like sure, you're beating me in the face for 6 with rakdos lord of riots every turn, but guess who has also drawn 6 lands in a row with nothing in hand. don't. be. an. ********.

It's really annoying when people punch me in the face for playing my all-American Shahrazad/Twincast/Fork/Mirari control/lifegain deck.
What, no Panoptic Mirror to imprint that Shahrazad on to?
