I purchased a box a Zendikar a few weeks ago, and I just notice that every rare that in that box was miscut. They all had three normal rounded corners and on sharp square corner. All the other rarities, including mythic rare, were fine. So I have two questions. Are miscut cards worth anything? Should I contact wizards customer support? (I know that seems like a given, but I don't want to waste my time if they're not going to do anything.)
Miscut cards are often, but not always, worth more than a regular equivalent card. However, this is more often the case with regards to old cards that have been out of print for a while rather than recent sets.
You can certainly contact customer support; I've heard of them replacing cards when there are problems with the pack, sometimes even just replacing the pack. There's no guarantee, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
If you can see the name of the card below it on the sheet the miscut is worth a lot more. Since you have a whole box of them though I'd see what they could fetch for on eBay as one ZEN lot. Course, if it was a "bad" box just ask wizards for some help on the matter.
I'm sure a miscut fetch would ... Fetch a pretty penny
That's interesting that mythics were cut differently than the rares. Scans would be nice. Is the square corner in the same place on all the cards?
I'd guess that cards with square cut corners would be the kind of miscut that makes a card worth a little more than normal, especially since you have a nice lot of them.
I've got a misty with a very thin top border, how much extra would that be worth?
Unless it's gt the next card on it, nothing extra, it's a common miscut.

Odds of pulling a JtMS from a WWK pack: 1:80
Odds of pulling any specific rare in 5th Edition: 1:133
So, on average, 1 JtMS every 2.222 boxes or 1 Bird of Paradise every 3.694 boxes. Yeah, I'll take my odds with Mythics, they are easier to get than old rares.

From what I've seen, most people feel that kind of miscut actually devalues the card. This is especially true for older cards when trying to get them graded. Slightly off-center will get you a lower rating.
