SG-
At the moment they are temporarily out of stock. The KICKSTARTER hasn't begun yet - due to start late Nov or mid-Dec. I will be announcing the start date here the moment I know it. You can drop by the youtube link in my sig to get all the current details - I was interviewed by Aric Jack to get the story out.
Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong for posting pics here? I can't quite seem to get the process straight.
Put the design up on Shapeways.com and I'll order from you there. They print in plastic, steel, silver, bronze and brass. http://www.shapeways.com/materials
Thanks for the heads up- never heard of these guys. Will call them Tuesday!:D
UPDATE: Couldn't wait - uploaded my files today, supposed to have them by the end of the month - can't wait to see what they produce!
The cost for them to produce silver is much less than my jeweler [good news!], but the cost to produce bronze is higher [say what?!]. That doesn't make much sense to me, but then this whole process has been much of a mystery to me all along, which is why I have gotten to the point where I have to have the professionals do it for me.
The centerpiece, they look really well done I figured you might have a bard or two in mind for a D&D Mini.
RC - the centerpiece doesn't come with a figurine. It is purposely created flat so that you can choose your own mini to mount on it, thereby personalizing it. This was the point of its creation [not like the old REAPER counter].
I discuss this at length in my youtube interview [there's a link in my sig].
I am pleased that you are considering the LIFFE SPINNER for your RPG needs - you aren't the only one.
Hey again, I heard a mention of silver - very interesting.

Here's the pic of the new TITAN Bronze next to the original. http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/attach/jpg.gif
As promised, the TITAN truly is twice as thick as the original, which will be designated as the ELEMENTAL.
Understand that the Bronze/Silver will be offered as KICKSTARTER specials. I'll be waiting to see if the level of detail meets the quality I'm looking for from the SHAPEWAYS folks before I pull the trigger on that one [the cost is still freaking outrageous]. The production models [which is the point of the KS project] will still be pewter and will be much more affordable. If you guys would like to see other pics of the Bronzes, just ask.;)
Whoa, not bad, not bad at all. The Titan looks really massive, and very cool to hear about the silver and bronze options!
It's more than just massive - it's ginormous! I haven't revealed on the KICKSTARTER page yet, but there is a little surprise coming about the center piece that I'll be announcing in a week or so. I won't be surprised if there are only 2 or 3 bronzes/silvers ordered - there can't be that many folks out there with that much floating cash around, but... you asked!:D
I've heard there's a kickstarter for this project, now?
You bet! It went up a few hours ago! The link for it is the top url of my sig line below. Drop on by and check it out!
Only wish I had been able to hire somebody to do my video. I'll be adding another one [or two] during the course of the campaign - I'll work harder on it, now that I have a little experience.
Curious to see what the surprise is. I ended up throwing in for a Titan. Not sure what to do with it yet, but I'll figure out something.
Fingers crossed that we make funding.
You and me both brother. Since you are the first to actually ask about the surprise, I'll reveal it here [don't be afraid to talk it up!].:D
As I was fiddling with the two sizes, I dropped the TITAN inside spinner piece inside the ELEMENTAL ring... WHOA! That made a statement!
A minor fee to the CAD guy [who's been VERY supportive of my project - he's never worked on game pieces before] and I thickened the inside spinner piece for both the ELEMENTAL and TITAN both. If we can get funded, that means the inside spinner piece will rise ABOVE the outer ring, giving it an awesome 'throne effect'!
It's WAY cool!
Please talk this up guys - I don't live on social media, and my ability to get the word out is limited. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I think a bit of social media might be a good idea... you can use a throwaway email address if you want, and it doesn't cost anything in terms of dollars, just time. Might get you some more coverage. A simple twitter account perhaps?
I wish I could get the silver one, but I'm no "super Pimp"
I see you're nearing $1k out of the $10k goal, that's excellent. Too bad the goal is so high though, it's going to take some serious campaigning and exposure to find another $9k I think!
I don't live in the world of social media [I don't even own a cell phone - I like to say "I don't have a cell phone, I have a life"]. This is my biggest hurdle. Getting the word out.
I'm not hiding though. My personal email is out there everywhere. Anybody can get ahold of me that wants to. And anybody that wants to pass mine around is fine with me also. I'm not sure what a 'throwaway email address' is anyway. Nor what I'd do with it if I had one.
I put together a 'FACEBOOK BLITZ' and sent that out to everyone I'm connected with. I've posted at least 50 mssgs here in the past 2 weeks and started another thread [which was actually quite interesting, though it didn't go very far].
I have redone the initial video, and added another on an update yesterday. I've contacted a dozen MTG podcasters, offering myself as a topic of conversation [haven't heard word one back].
I wish you could afford a silver one, too.
As to the goal - getting the original bronzes is hideously expensive... but damn if they're not freakin' awesome! If I could find a way to get around it, I'd take it, believe you me. I did try SHAPEWAYS, but the cheap options there [while they were helpful for getting a visual reference] were useless in terms of the quality I can get from the process I've already got set up. I even tried checking the prices on there for getting bronzes done, but I can actually get it cheaper from the jeweler - go figure.
Be that as it may - anybody that has any options for getting the word out, please do.
I guess the one thing that has surprised me is the limited exposure between the KICKSTARTER and the MTG communities. I really thought there'd be more crossover.
