I would probably go for a brothers war vote. Or Homelands/Fallen empires
why?
They were very flavor driven blocks, as well as homelands having some very flavor driven legends.
Ishan's Shade?
Baron Sengir?
Autumn Willow?
and how about Fallen empires? Thallids and elves, and dominaria! it would really have to be a high fantasy approach though comedy is lacking in those blocks, so if the wanted 't3h funn3h' then my vote would shift to weatherlight crew. I liked the old magic anthologies, it's the new ones that I have disliked. The new anthologies similarly have lacked quality. And the overall flavor and art of magic have changed as well, less alternate arts, different more garish styles. I miss the 'old days' but then again it's progress right?
If the movie is created for the story and to make money on its owe, and it was live action ala Lord of the Rings, then it would be fine.
If its a cheesy cartoon designed to sell magic cards it'll blow.

I've tried.
I loved the Odssey Block, Except for the first book. The rest had excellent writing and a great story line. Braids is one crazy chick I can tell you that!
I think, realistically, the Invasion block wouldn't be a good idea for a movie, it'd be too long, and you'd have to organize all the random characters and info and do previous storylines about what the hell is going on...
An Odyssey to Judgement and maybe the first part of Onslaught (I didn't like Scourge or Legions) would be alright...I mean, there's nothing too weird or complicated, Kamahl's your basic main character, and the factions of Otaria wouldn't be that hard to introduce, you'd just need cool actors to play Laquatus, Chainer, and if Onslaught was worked in, Ixidor...

well i wouldnt be surprised, hollywood will put out anything right now so far as its not original, im worried if there were a movie wizards would put out cards with photograpphs from the movie instead of art, and that would be kinda lame

Kind of like that sad version of Street Fighter that was put out after that god awful movie with Jean-Claude VanDamme.
Hollywood would completely **** it up just like they have the Doom 3 movie. For those of you who don't know anything about Doom/Doom 3: The Union Aerospace Corporation, the most powerful conglomorate on earth at that time, has inhabiated Mars with it's workers and is conducing experiments on teleportation, playing with the very fabric of the universe itself. They end up opening a gateway to hell in the end, and the demons and forces of hell invade their base on Mars. The original writer who was working on the movie had it going pretty good, then he had to leave his part in the movie and someone else took over. Now the demons aren't demons, they're humans "mutated by a virus", the concept of Hell has been completely eradicated from the entire thing, and it no longer takes place on Mars. Why did all of this happen? Because Holywood sucks, and also to probably avoid a ton of right-wing criticism.
If I were to choose any particular books for a Magic: The Gathering movie, it would have to be the Artifacts Cycle. That's The Brothers' War (Antiquities), Planeswalker, Time Streams, and Bloodlines (Urza's Destiny). The Cycle was, overall, second only to Grubb's Ice Age Cycle, which I don't think would make a very good movie trilogy.

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
