Hello! I have been working on a cube for the past couple years and have it at a point I'm looking to start play testing, but trying to get and have 8 friends is always a struggle so I'm looking for folks interested in playing some casual fun cube draft. I have the set uploaded on Planesculptors here.
You will notice some small formatting errors that are resolved while playing on everyone's favorite magic software. However if you notice anything larger like missing P/T (it's a 1/2 btw.) or something else egregious let me know! I'd love feedback on any of the designs you do or don't like but keep in mind the cards are meant to be played with each-other and will in general have a higher power lever then cards in your average cube.
Here's a brief rundown on some of the cube details and thoughts I kept in mind while designing.
Design
The cube looks to raise the overall power level from traditional cube formats, and achieves this by spreading the power level among cards and adding a higher reward for evaluating cards within potential draft archetypes, rather than raw power. With many cards attempting to serve multiple purposes depending on the shell they’re played in I’m looking to push the variety of both decks, and the way decks play within a smaller cube size.
Card Breakdown
360 Cards total
50 cards of each color
4 for each guild
29 Colorless artifacts (1 colorless non artifact)
40 Lands (Dual, Fetch, Shock for each guild. 10 Lands providing various additional utilities or fixing.)
Artifacts & Elementals offer additional synergies and power to any deck but can also operate as stand alone decks if drafted successfully.
Anyone interested in hoping in the discord and playing some with us please shoot me a message, we try to schedule for earlier afternoon (11-2ish EDT) or around (9pm EDT) We have so far ran 2 successful drafts that were a ton of fun and I'd love to get some more involvement.
