I am very happy to hear from you Tilwin. Of course RL priorities come first, and I hope that yours are positive ones (like lion's new job), not negative ones. I also hope that no one is upset that we have continued to slowly move forward with the set. I just fear that if it grinds to a complete halt, it will be difficult to get it back going again. That said, if any member of the team ever does want an official pause, feel free to say so. I want to finish the set, but not at the cost of being a jerk.
FYI...I updated the OP some. I probably should have been doing that all along. I'd love to find some sort of picture, or set logo to put there, but I don't have one, nor do I know how to do that.
Edit: BTW, I hope to do a little more testing this weekend, both with the decks posted above, as well as couple of similar ones I'm making. (Similar in that they will be intro type decks.)
Edit2: So I played the R/G rebel deck against the U/W Brotherhood deck a couple more times, and the Rebels won handily both times. Again, I believe this is more of an indication of the fact that I didn't cross factions when making the decks, so the Rebel deck is just too powerful to deal with if the Brotherhood doesn't draw into its one copy of Mass Roundup. I plan to tear these decks apart soon and build W/R Rebels and U/B Brotherhood decks. I feel like the same thing will happen with these decks though, since I once again plan to adhere to rule of not crossing factions with the decks, and now the Brotherhood loses Mass Roundup. I don't think this difference in power level between the two factions will be a big deal though, because nobody will have to hold themselves to not crossing factions in limited or constructed. I can't wait to get the last few cards in set done so that I can draft our first pass. I'm definitely not looking forward to printing and cutting all those cards though.

So in case it wasn't obvious, the goal of finishing up the last few cards by the end of November will need to be pushed back some. That's ok though, there has still been some good discussion going on in the spreadsheet these days. I would still love to try to get all the slots filled within the next few weeks though. I plan to take some time off around Christmas, so that might give me the time I need to print everything out so I can draft it. Are you still planning on having more free time starting the 5th bravelion?
Edit: BTW, what do people think of this version of Brother Bartall....
Bartall, Minister of Truth
Legendary Creature - Vedalken Cleric (M)
Spells that target Bartall, Minister of Truth cost more to cast.
When Bartall, Minister of Truth enters the battlefield, gain control of up to two target creatures with total converted mana cost 5 or less until Bartall, Minister of Truth leaves the battlefield.
3/5
Would it be cool to change it to..."Spells that target ~ cost more to cast"?

Yes, I am. A lot more free time actually. I just received confirmation yesterday that the person I am substituting got better and she's ready to retake her place, so I'll work until this coming Friday the 4th and then I'll be unemployed again (let's hope not for too long).

I'm a little nervous that if we implemented all of the changes you're suggesting, Bartall would be too good. Imagine getting a 3/6 semi-hexproof body that steals your opponent's Goyf and Liliana OTV for 5 CMC! Seems crazy. I'm not saying the changes don't intrigue me, but I'd like to hear what others think about it power level-wise. Either way, I'm glad you like the basic idea and I have no problem developing it further.

I'm going to make a single MSE file with all cards in the set as of now meant for me to take the cards to playtest out of. I think I'll share that file with others on the team, and make renders public in my Google Drive as commons and uncommons are now. Further developments incoming.
EDIT: So, here it's past 8 PM now, and I spent the best part of my afternoon coming up with a complete, detailed and fully reviewed MSE file for the whole set as it is now. While doing that, I noticed many things:
• I discovered many small mistakes in the details, of the kind that would go under Quality in the MCC, and I corrected them all. The vast majority of these were in flavor texts but not all. I found two instances of "shuffle you library" (NOT "your", as it should be) in rules text for example.
• I also discovered that there are three cases of too similar names (Twisted Venakian vs Twisted Philosopher for example, and other two I can't remember right now), and I've highlighted all of them in the comment section of the sheet.
• I adopted Tilwin's version of Moratorium and the last ability of Dahl's Wall, and my modal wording of Thunyar, for the reasons you can read about in the comment section of the sheet.
• We only miss four mythics now, then we're good to go!
• I designed the blue rare Clone variant.
• I badly wish MSE had a feature to manually adjust the height of the different abilities on a planeswalker card instead of automatically making them equal. You'll see how bad this looks on Freigh, but it's the way it is.
• Probably some other thing I can't remember right now, but I'll certainly tell you if and when I remember.
I'll update all renders on my Google Drive in minutes. Right now MSE is generating them. I hope the efforts of half my day are worth it. Well, that's what it means to be back!
EDIT 2: 9 PM now, the folder with all the renders of the full set is here. Upload is still in progress, so there may be not all cards yet. Another thing I remembered is that several flavor texts are still missing.

Thanks a million bravelion! As always, your hard work is greatly appreciated. Thanks for catching all those mistakes. I hadn't noticed we had so many similarly named creatures. We'll definitely need to do something about that.
I love the idea of competing cards for the remaining slots. In some ways, I feel like that should be true for every slot. If anybody comes up with something really awesome in a rarity that is already full, I see no reason not to see if something could be bumped for it.
As far as the Clone goes, while I have no problem with lion's suggestion, I would like to offer this....
Cardname
Creature - Shapeshifter
You may have ~ enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may detain target creature with the same name as this creature.

I love the idea of competing cards for the remaining slots.
I hate the idea of competing cards for the remaining slots instead. I don't like it at all. I'd like there to be a reason for proposing different cards. I'd like a more cooperative approach much more. I've liked how we approached things until now very much, I see no reason to change that. And let's not even talk about people potentially getting things personally if their cards don't win the "contest" (we're all mature people and I don't expect that, but you never know...)
I'll do a different thing instead of just proposing my own cards: I'll comment on the cards on the sheet and I'll only propose an alternative where I see problems. That is, how I've always done until now. (EDIT: I've done that right now.)
I hope this doesn't sound harsher than I mean it to be. In summary: let's just continue the way we did things until now. As the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
If anybody comes up with something really awesome in a rarity that is already full, I see no reason not to see if something could be bumped for it.
Of course this might happen without any problem, but it's one thing if it happens sometimes for a nice card idea that really deserves it (I'm thinking of the famous card by Groovelord for example, that if included would require the killing, not even the bump, of another card) or because some card needs to be killed from playtest and a hole is created, it's another thing if it's the rule for every slot. That's what I don't want: I don't want that to be the rule.

I wasn't really thinking of it as a competition, even if I may have called it that. I was just thinking that, if everybody came up with an idea, we would end up with a better card in each of the slots. I saw the idea as a completely cooperative one actually. We would all get a chance to discuss the proposed cards of course, and in the end, it is possible that we end up with some awesome mishmash of a couple of the ideas. Of course we don't have to do anything that someone is against, but as far as I'm concerned, I hope we all respect each other as designers (and people) enough to not try to offend one another. With that in mind, I would never take offense to a critique, or even downright hatred of an idea of mine. It would never cross my mind that one of you were trying to be disrespectful, nor would it cross my mind to ever try to disrespect anyone here. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say makes sense, so I think I'll just go check out the spreadsheet.

It's possible that I'm misunderstanding Tilwin, but I consider this whole set a collaboration. I don't see any reason it should be different just because we are each submitting an idea for the final four slots. Trust me, I will not be upset if none of my submissions end up being the one selected. I try to set my ego aside for the betterment of the set. I would only ever become upset if I felt someone was being rude, and I've never felt that way concerning anyone on our team. That's part of the reason I like our team so much. I feel like we all have great respect for each other's design skills, so sharing our honest opinion on one another's ideas should never be taken personally. Does that make sense?

I'm on the same page as you completely on this one Tilwin. I too think that mythics (especially noncreature mythics) are the most difficult cards to design. I also understand how you feel about stealing slots, which is why I've made a point of telling people that I'm willing to replace some of my designs if someone comes up with something really cool. I doubt WotC R&D makes cards on a first come, first serve basis, and I see no reason why we should either. That said, here's some rough draft ideas for a few mythics....
Inquisition’s Will
Enchantment
Whenever an opponent casts a spell, put a 1/1 colorless Drone artifact creature token with flying onto the battlefield.
, Sacrifice four artifacts: Counter target spell.
Monmoth’s Laboratory (probably want a different name for this one)
Enchantment
You may cast creature cards from your graveyard. Whenever you cast a creature spell this way, that creature gains haste until end of turn. Exile it at the beginning of the end step.
Cling to the Past
Sorcery
Exile each instant and sorcery card in your graveyard. You may cast those cards this turn.
“We must act now before the entire history of Ormos is lost to the Brotherhood.”
I also wouldn't mind hearing other's thoughts on 137-F. I like the idea of a creature that doubles your recruit triggers (as she does currently), but I'm not sure I'm in love with the current design overall. I'd really like 137-F to be awesome.

As for those new cards, at first impression they are in the exact order in which I like them: I like the blue one the best, then the black one, and the red one not so much (for a simple reason: you will need a lot of mana to make it effective and I don't know how many red deck would be willing to do that).
I really like where 137-F is right now, which I why I haven't commented much on her so far, and I wouldn't like her to change too much from where she is now. As for her story, changing some flavor texts to fit more of it in is the least of my worries for now, it won't be a problem to do so later.
But the most important thing in my opinion right now is this:
I really wish we had more white hate cards in the set. Things that set strict laws ... I wish we had more cards that give a sense of white-based oppression.
I realized this too while working on the MSE file, which really gave me a sense of the large picture. This was one of the main goals of our set and so far I don't feel we're meeting it. We'll definitely have to work on this.

I don't have much time to comment right now, but I just want to point out that the red card is similar to Past in Flames, but it costs less, doesn't have flashback, and is more of a one-shot deal due to the fact that the cards are exiled. Past in Flames is a mythic that sees play in Storm. It's possible that the lack of flashback makes this considerably weaker though. Also, I don't disagree that Cling to the Past might not see much play in standard, but neither did Past in Flames.

Thanks for the excellent response Tilwin. Here are my thoughts...
Your rewording of Cling to Past is definitely needed. Today at work I realized that cards exiled by red's new "Chandra Pyromaster" effect probably end up in your graveyard after they resolve. To be honest, I haven't been playing much magic lately, and never really thought much about it until Cling to the Past came to me last night. Now that I realize how it works, I agree it needs a wording change. As far as this being flashback without flashback, I don't really see this as much as problem because I feel like it is a natural evolution of red's new Pyromaster "draw" ability. I feel like this is different enough to warrant existence. That said, I was certainly aware of this card's similarity to Past in Flames.
I see your point about the blue Mythic. I don't know that the two cards are that similar, but as I said, you point is certainly valid.
Monmoth's Lab is basically Sedris, the Traitor King in enchantment form, but "unearth" effects have existed since before unearth itself. I do like your take on the card though, especially since it produces Zombies, which I thought of adding to the original version for flavor reasons. I don't think your version needs to be legendary though, and I don't think it needs to put -1/-1 counters on Zombies either, although I do think it would need to cost at least more if those two parts of the card were dropped.
Edit: I LOVE the idea of reprinting Containment Priest in the this set. Is it too good for Standard though? How about Modern? It would be really awesome with Mass Roundup.
Edit2: It also totally hoses 137-F's ability, which I find quite flavorful.

cards exiled by red's new "Chandra Pyromaster" effect probably end up in your graveyard after they resolve.
Yes, you can remove the word "probably" from there. Cards cast from anywhere always go to the graveyard when they resolve (unless an effect says otherwise, of course). That's pretty clear in the rules and rebound, which has already been brought up before, is a very good example of that: the second time you cast a spell with rebound you are casting it from exile and it ends up in the graveyard because rebound does not specify otherwise.
I LOVE the idea of reprinting Containment Priest in the this set. Is it too good for Standard though? How about Modern? It would be really awesome with Mass Roundup.

What a flavorful gem you found! The Priest is just perfect here, but I can't really see it in Standard. It's not by chance that it has been printed in Commander and not in a Standard legal set. It also completely hoses recruit (the creature never enters the battlefield because it's a replacement effect, it's not that it enters and then it's exiled like if it were a triggered ability) and embolden too when it's on creatures (it's useless to have an alternative cost active if the creature is not going to enter the battlefield anyway). All of that makes a wonderful reprint flavorfully, but I'm quite worried by its power level. The only way I could see it in our set (and I repeat flavorfully it totally belongs, and it also helps us making white more of what it's supposed to be in Ormos) is if the Priest is the third white mythic after 137-F and the white Minister. Now there is an Aura there, and that would have to be taken out. (EDIT: I missed the "if it wasn't cast" wording on the Priest, so nevermind) I'd personally have no problems with that except for the Priest's power level. I don't think it can be a regular rare in a Standard set (EDIT: see before).

I'm not sure I get what you're saying bravelion. Containment Priest only hoses nontoken creatures that enter the battlefield that weren't cast. Most of the time, you will be casting creatures to get your recruit effect. Also, cards are cast for their embolden cost, so it will rarely affect those creatures either. It would only mess with things like 137-F's blink ability, since it will be entering the battlefield without being cast. I'd have to go back and see how many cards in the set the Priest affects. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are 137-F and Mass Roundup. Sorry if I'm missing something here, I don't have much time to post or think about it right now.

I was writing a long post explaining what I meant, then I went to recheck the exact wording of Containment Priest and I realized I completely missed the "if it wasn't cast" part of the Priest. That part nullifies everything I was saying, so nevermind about that. I was wrong, my bad, and thanks for making me notice. Now it looks much more reasonable to me as a rare reprint in Ormos, and I'd have no problem to playtest it.

No problem bravelion. I'm just happy to hear that I wasn't missing something. I've had more than my fair share of misreads/misinterpretations lately, I'm happy this wasn't another one. Now the question is, if we do want to include the Priest (which I would love to), what do we replace? We have already discussed including Groovelord's card (which is also white) at rare, and all slots are currently full.

We will have to replace many things in white to make it more of the color we want in Ormos, and at all rarities. We should take a look at all the white cards in the set and see what's essential and what is not. All that is not essential should be on the table for change.
About Groovelord's card, did you hear anything from him?

I just heard from Groovelord moments ago actually, and he's fine with us using his design.
As far as white cards are concerned, I don't know that we need a massive overhaul since I do feel we already have some oppressive white cards, but I do agree that a minor overhaul may be necessary. I'd like to say more about this, but I've got to go to work right now.

Edit: BTW, what do people think of this version of Brother Bartall....

0/0

A few other thoughts....I really wish we had more white hate cards in the set. Things that set strict laws such as Imposing Sovereign, Aven Mindcensor, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Ghostly Prison, Ethersworn Canonist, Containment Priest, Rest in Peace, etc. I wish we had more cards that give a sense of white-based oppression. I also wish we had more cards that tell 137-F's story through flavor text.
I realized this too while working on the MSE file, which really gave me a sense of the large picture. This was one of the main goals of our set and so far I don't feel we're meeting it. We'll definitely have to work on this.

What a flavorful gem you found! The Priest is just perfect here,
but I can't really see it in Standard. Now there is an Aura there, and that would have to be taken out.(EDIT: I missed the "if it wasn't cast" wording on the Priest, so nevermind) I'd personally have no problems with thatexcept for the Priest's power level. I don't think it can be a regular rare in a Standard set(EDIT: see before).MCC - Winner (6): Oct 2014, Apr Nov 2017, Jan 2018, Apr Jun 2019 || Host (15): Dec 2014, Apr Jul Aug Dec 2015, Mar Jul Aug Oct 2016, Feb Jul 2017, Jun Nov 2018, Feb Jul 2019 (last one here) || Judge (34): every month from Nov 2014 to Nov 2016 except Oct 2015, every month from Feb to Jul 2017 except Apr 2017, then Oct 2017, May Jun Nov 2018, Feb Jul 2019 (last one here)

As far as white cards are concerned, I don't know that we need a massive overhaul since I do feel we already have some oppressive white cards, but I do agree that a minor overhaul may be necessary. I'd like to say more about this, but I've got to go to work right now.
