I love it. Such great effort and design in this set. uJust a few things that entered my head while looking at it. Sebastian Shaw is the Black King, why is he Green? Also, is this a combination of the Ultimates Universe and the standard? I see art and thematic elements from both. I love all the Ultron incarnates. Reprint of Temple of the False God so flavorful! Dr. Strange should definitely fly. Psychic powers are usually the realm of Blue, but many of your powerful Psychics (Jean Grey, Bishop) are lacking blue. What makes Apocalypse Black? He is the pinnacle of all living things! He is the ultimate living creature, in control of all of his cells. Is it because he gives you a compleation vibe?

1. Frankly, the point you brought up doesn't matter because your, possible, inspiration Toxic Iguanar only gets deathtouch conditionally. Thus, red has no space granting the ability
2. Shroud was last seen in New Phyrexia, nineteen months ago, whereas hexproof is in standard right now.
3. If you search gatherer for "mutant" or look at the Gatecrash spoiler, you'll notice that mutant is never the first type listed, instead, being last.
2. Wizards has actually said they'll do shroud in the future. It isn't gone, but the focus is, this doesn't mean shroud is dead however. I think they made that decision for the same reasons they shy away from cards with negatives, and that probably means shroud is not going to be a core mechanic anymore.
3. For flavor reasons, mutant in marvel could be first since some characters actual race will be mutant. Although mutants are mutated from people, they are noted as being a new race many times in the Marvel Mythos, so it's fair to say they are slightly different from Magic mutants, which stick to the scientific definition of mutant, and aren't discussing a genetic division to a completely new race.
For perspective, he could have created the new type "homo superior" and put that on there, but that would have looked silly.
Fair enough. I stand corrected on numbers two and three.
Speaking of abilities, I don't know if he's using fear in the set, but that has been replaced by and expanded to intimidate for new cards. Thus, he needs to make that change because the former was last seen over three-and-a-half years ago, in Shards of Alara block.

Fear IS dead, because intimidate translates that ability into any color. The only reason to use fear is to give a nonblack creature the power to only be blocked by black creatures and artifacts...maybe some kinda weird white guy, or artifact?? Due to this limited design space, fear is permadead.
hey guys. Mutant is an important "tribe" in the block and comes first because of the reasons Kage explained. And there is no fear in the block as you said it has been replaced by intimidate.
what do you think Ghost Rider should be? Just a slight note that I forgot to update on here is he also has Intimidate. Any suggestions for any cards are awesome and welcome!
I just thought of the Marvel Universe in Magic. I am so glad someone thought of this way before me. Awesome work!!! I wish MTG would take advantage of the story and characters already created. I might increase MTG's popularity. On top of that their parent company already has licensing with Marvel/Disney.

I mean seriously... he taps players and they don't untap ever?
