Which cards need flavor text? I don't know that I can come up with anything tied to the story, but I've found general contextless flavor text to be a fun hobby.
As to the story, if you want to present it in all it's grandeur, go ahead, I can wait. But I would like to know what happens.
I'm almost done with my personal file... just over half of green needs some flavor text, and a few gold cards... then I have the fun of reposting the images. Fun!
The story: It's a bit hazy at times. There's only a few plot points that need spelling out. The interim is open to all sorts of adventures.
I just noticed something about the wardens, you must exile them as part of the cost, but don't creatures lose all counters when they change zones? As worded, they wouldn't do anything...or am I wrong?
Also, Dinosaur Elemental, pure awesome!! I'd play that in my Green Machine.
I believe the number is decided when the card's ability is announced, but I'll have to consult a rules expert or something.
Well, I know if the ability refers to a characteristic of the creature, then you use the last known value (while it was in play), thus, if counters were affecting said characteristic, they would affect the ability, but as to counting counters, I don't know.
Wow, I had no idea your signature linked to a website full of info about the Acadamy. I feel really dumb now. It's pretty amazing how extensive your custom set is.
Heh, it's my little secret. The block on the site is actually very much out of date. Not all of the sets on there have to do with Academy, either--only the first block (and some of the flavor in Core Set: Salvation).
I have to update the site, it's just.. really time consuming.
I wish they would fix HTML Export on Magic Set Editor 2..
I really love this set and the artwork, but why oh why did you create an almost strictly better vindicate (banishment)? The only way it could possible be worse is if you WANT the creature to go to the graveyard... Other than that it seems to be a nicely balanced set with a nice color pie.
Kudos to you!

I opened one last year, got two crap worldwake packs and 8x scathe zombies, which I promptly hid around my sister's apartment for her roommates to find. But, yeah, it was a piece of crap.
You, sir, have just won the internet. Congratulations.
Banishment was really just an answer to the questions "Can you make a plot-centric mythic rare that would be the chase mythic of the set? Can you make a WB card that people will actively try to splash for? Can you make something totally awesome?"
Thanks for the kudos!
And if you're wondering what the plot point the card is based on, just read the flavor text.

Well thanks. I got most of the art from either the Fantasy Art thread here on MTGS, Deviantart, and some from Conceptart.org and a few other places, even Photobucket.
Hey, Alacar, not to invalidate any work you've done, but I found this card playing program called Lackey, and I'm pretty sure it's superior to MWS. I don't know how to create custom cards yet, but if the update process is any comparison, it will be better and easier.
Very nice set. Actually fairly balanced and the only real problem is how much those keywords show up. However, there are some creatures in there that exemplify the very worst kind of creature power creep. 2WW for a vanilla 4/4. It's not really overpowered, its in the right color, everything -- but the biggest white has ever gotten for 2WW at common is 3/3. And as a vanilla creature, this will likely never even see play outside of limited, a waste of a perfectly fine card. But it also sets a precedent. People will see that and think that if white gets a 4/4 at 4 cmc at common and that card never sees any play outside of limited, maybe a 4/4 with lifelink at cmc 4 at common is okay too... and this just keeps going.

I don't know about this slippery slope argument. I mean, this isn't a major set which will be in circulation among the millions of players of this game. Its audience is a subset of users on this forum who enjoy custom sets, and that's a pretty limited audience (in the scope of Magic as a whole). As such, it's effects on power creep will be slight, if existent at all.
To be honest, Academy should not be judged on the current Standard metagame: The set started back in 2005, for god's sake. It has changed a lot since then (the sisters used to be a legend cycle) and as such it should be judged on its own internal metagame. A 4/4 vanilla for 2CC is fine.
