Like, are they brands of spellcraft? Different schools that one takes up to master "magic"?
How would this affect "the Creative" - the construction of the worlds that occupy the Multiverse where the thrilling plots happen?
EDIT: And I forgot to say this: Chips aren't permanents.
In Reboot, chips are permanents.
I read through all of your color pie modifications, and while I still much prefer Magic, I do have one issue with one of your choices.
Choosing to make blue hate Planeswalkers completely destroys the flavor of the entire game. Planeswalker hate doesn't exist in Magic for a reason: the player is a Planeswalker. Flavorwise, if blue really hates Planeswalkers, you'd never see a blue spell cast, or a blue permanent on the battlefield. I think that should be changed.

Thanks for the comment.
I can see your point about planeswalkers, I just don't share it. I liked the symmetry of each color being best at "hating" a permanent type. I would hope that the soft approach (I.E. no "Destroy target planeswalker" wording) could cushion the blow for you somewhat. I've learned when making sets that challenge accepted norms and practices that it is very hard to please everyone. Hell, WotC has this problem themselves. All I can say is thanks for taking the time to read the primer. I recommend looking at the visual spoiler on my Photobucket account. You might appreciate the set more if you see the implementation of the changes I made. And the amount of work I put into it.
I've been looking it over, and I really think you should try "rebooting" expansions, namely Arabian Nights, Legends, & The Dark.
Whoa! When I read your first post I thought it was sarcastic. I am working on a different set right now, but anyone who wants to try this should give it a whirl. I'd like to see it too. Maybe when I get a chance I can think of a few cards.
You'll notice that Island Fish Jasconius was an Arabian Nights preprint of sorts. I think there could be a few of them in here too - for Legends, Antiquties etc.
Well, I'm currently working on my own "semi-rebooted" Core Set, remaking some existing cards and using others, though I'm keeping the standard terminology.
The one I'm most interested in is The Dark, so maybe I'll give that a try later on.
