Manathirst - (At end of turn, if you haven't spent this turn, sacrifice ~)

Rushed, but I have no idea how to actually word it.
Help appreciated.

Manathirst - (At end of turn, sacrifice ~ unless you've spent to play spells or abilities this turn.)

I guess this is what you're looking for, right? I think it should work worded like this.

One thing would be, how would manathirst for colourless look like? Sac at eot unless any mana was spent? Spent only on colourless spells?

Does the game remember the mana you have spent? Maybe I won't put colourless, or maybe have manathirst as:

Manathirst - (At end of turn, sacrifice ~ unless you have played a spell with casting cost )

Ummm.... for flavor reasons I think it should include abilities as well.

This wording doesn't count mana spent on special actions (such as turning a morphed creature face up) or other costs (such as paying mana for Mana Leak).
The original wording should work.

How about this then:

Manathirst - (At end of turn, sacrifice ~ unless you've spent to pay for costs this turn.)

What about an ability that counters tapping effects, apart from attacking and tapping under your will; Is this the best way it could work?:

Forsaken Will (Whenever an effect that you don't control would tap ~, instead it doesn't.)

Yeah. Therefore that spell does affect the permanent with this ability.

Well, calm down. How about listing up the desired effects?

I was just blaming myself.
I only want attacking and me tapping them for T:Add mana etc. to tap them.
Everything else shouldn't tap them.

Then it's simpy:

• ~ can't be tapped by spells or abilities.

Or
~ can't be tapped by effects.
That would allow you to tap it for costs.

And attacking?
Thanks anyway.

Attacking isn't an effect... you can still tap it to attack.
