When an effect such as that of followed footsteps makes a token that's a copy of another permanent, is it an exact copy (including mana cost, name, etc.)?

However, any ability that creates a copy without mentioning any specific attributes copies every characteristic as printed (cf. Dance of Many, for one example among many), with attention given to things such as being played as a 2/2 face-down, etc.
