Welcome to the August CCL! This round is still open to all.
Theme
You have practiced your lines and decided on a cool pose to accompany it. The next issue - how will you get to the places where your heoric presence is needed? Sure you could walk or perhaps some of you could even fly, but what could be better for daring entries and quick escapes than a custom vehicle of your own?
Challenge
Create a Vehicle that could be crewed by your Round 1 design.
Your card can use any existing or new mechanic you want.
You may design a card that can only work in silver border if you want, but you don't have to.
Schedule
Your cards are due at 11:59PM EST on Thursday, August 16th.
After this round, we will cut to Top 4 based on cumulative scores from the first 3 rounds. Note that you must have submitted a Top 3 for each round to be eligible to continue.

I am afraid it won't work well without Just a Second ability. Even more, it won't even work well with it. I am not sure how to make it work so I'd probably go for something else.
Jimmy Groove
Simple, easy to activate and fits un-Theme well. Can't help but just afraid a second half is a bit pushed.
doomfish
Actually, very strong card and free access to sarificing for value in colorless for insultingly low price. For the third time here I am saying that I am afraid of this card.
void_nothing
Except for being wordy, this is actually something that I can imagine being played and not being broken, so good job here. Well, I was pretty sure you will put out something nice from the beginning and wasn't disappointed.
Subject16
Spicy. Chippy sure drew a lot of high power cards, but eh, a combo is a combo. Outside of combo, it's a mediocre yet fair Vehicle which feels much more fair than Copter. But the potential is here.
Hemlock
I like it for being flavorful yet playable and very simple because I can easily imagine this working. Just be careful with removal. Probably my favorite entry here.
Didn't have internet for the past 3 days. I'll do critiques in about 15 hours from now. :/
A cute idea, but really again, nothing I can see actually working. With a big enough truck (and I know they come in tabletop sizes) you just got yourself a board wipe. Then it doesn't specifiy where to start from. Also, do you get to hold on to it? Are you allowed to prevent cards from falling off? Can you just tape them on? How will my opponent feel when I roll over his prizeless cards with a truck? What do I do if I can't get my hands on a toy truck anyway? I'd suggest you'd have to pile the creatures onto the card, then shove-toss the card into the enemy. Same rules apply.
I think I'm missing the reference here. Not sure what the point of hiding a vehicle behind a 1/1 creature is, but it certainly solves the whole creature-count ~ vehicle count dynamic problem for limited, so that's cool.
Having an attack each combat clause on a vehicle seems pointless. Unless you crew it, it's not going to attack and you're not going to crew it unless you are attacking anyways. I like the concept of having a vehicle that you run along with.
That's a super cool way to care about something un-set-ty. Exiling spells post-combat-damage is a bit awkward, as that's really a super-fringe case. Maybe only activate that while it's a creature or something? Also there not much point to this being a vehicle. All of this would work well enough on a regular artifact. But the gameplay should be amazing this way.
Simple, but I love it. That whole thing where vehicles can be overcrewed kinda makes both our designs awkward. Oh well.
That's a cool way to use the crew mechanic. I think this absolutely needs to use counters, or else the memory issue is too much. I'd also keep it from blocking. Lovely combination of spot-on-flavor and cool gameplay.

netn10 - This is an interesting minigame, but it all seems poorly defined and easy to abuse (couldn't you just bring an ENORMOUS toy truck?), and I'm usually not a fan of Un-cards that require significant outside props.
Jimmy Groove - This is sufficiently wacky and the mechanical idea of getting a bonus when crewed by a specific legend is good, but an overly specific pop culture reference is not what Un is trying to do imo.
doomfish - Potentially fun, and I like how it's a different take on Vehicle design space, but it does all feel a bit "obvious" and the flavor is hard to parse without art.
Raptorchan - An Un- Vehicle being somehow an unVehicle - the crew untapping and all - is oddly fitting, and the execution of this seems chaotic and fun even if it's mechanically not very silver-bordered.
Subject16 - Genius. I hope the art for this would be Chippy in a helicopter with a beautiful and ethereal woman in gothic makeup and some grotesque reptilian monster, with a mask-shaped figurehead on the copter.
Hemlock - This is fun and mathy and altogether some of my favorite design tropes all put together. Gr9.
I feel like this is a bit dangerous, as it reminds me of Nerf War which people have said to be able to seriously damage some cards and sleeves. I'm also a bit concerned as to when the truck stops, and how much control you get, especially since you can then blow up all noncreature, nonland permanents with no drawback. It feels mostly unfair, even though I appreciate the manual nature of the card.
I like that you flipped (no pun intended) the horse-jockey concept on its head. Together they make a 9/9 first strike and trample creature that seems like a good combination of two rares. The flavour here is pretty on point as well.
This seems like a strong vehicle, especially as it acts as an instant speed sacrifice outlet as well as buffing your vehicle. It's definitely strong, but the trample might be a bit much for a 2 mana card, as it can easily become a game winner. But it's a good design and I'd run it in quite a few of my decks.
I like this a lot, and it does well to make sure your first design can still attack, which is probably a drawback in most cases rather than an advantage. Considering this, I feel like it can be more than a 6/2, especially considering Irontread Crusher at common. A higher toughness would mean the forced block effect would be far stronger as well. A solid design overall, and one I can see being in black-border.
Although this doesn't especially synergise with your Hero, it's a really cool card and a solid design for a rattlesnake. It reminds me a lot of O-Kagachi, Vengeful Kami. It's a great way to adapt on the name noting, and the ability to sink in a load of mana to punch through your enemies or buff the hell of your your creatures is really damn strong. I would say this design would be too strong if there were other cards in the set that used the hit list mechanic, but as it is now I think it's really cool.
This is pretty damn cool. The concept of it continuously growing in power is at the cost of tapping one of your creatures is a really cool way to win a game, but at Uncommon it might be a bit too good for a limited environment. Otherwise, it's a great way to present the machismo of revving up your monster truck.
Netn10: Fun idea but very hard to implement. To be fair, all that wizard needs to produce some tridimensional kind-of-token is a proper design and amonkhet punchcard technology, but I don't think they would go in that direction. The effect can be very wrecking, but the need of producing a toy car to.use it makes it a bit odd.
Subject16: A quick search by artist threw 62 creature resulta for Chippy, and if he got to illustrate some kind of token the number goes up. Sixty carda that could work with it is quite a respectable.pool if we compare it with, say, rebels or horses. The effect will be fine in an all Chippy Deck as some kind of Cobbled Wings that gives you atrenght and takes all your other abilities, while without Chippy arts this is too undramatic.
Voidnothing: Oh, we all have been there, in the position of making a suboptimal play just to blast away some atupid creature that bothered you way more than it in theory could and should. Me myself keep in my wallet a Bushstrider
that made my life a living hell on a particular day. I kidnapped it and made sure it would never inhabit a deck while servicing as a "Do magic cards fit in this?" measuring object. My son filmed himself tearing copies of Looming altisaur after a particularly unhappy day dealing with them... So, what I'm tryinh to bring to the front with all this shenanigans is that spite is a big dimmension of playing the game and turning it into a mechanic is an awesome move. Sure, there are things to work on design-wise, cause it's too woedy and the spell-exiling clause is quite odd, but the hitlist can be an intetesting mechanic.
Raptorchan: Thia has nice spirit and the effect is fun and aggresive. I think you ahould add a "must be crewed if able" there to work as I imagine you want it to work. I also feel it a bit expensive, so the numbers should be worked a bit.
Doomfish: I run an infinite recursion package in my Asmira, Holy Avenger commander deck and I look at this and I can't help looking at it as a sacrifice engine. Sure, it's.not a blasting station but it outperforms every other sacrifice engine in the deck because of the trample. I'm sure this is a very ppwerful vehicle but it needs at least two vards to get broken into infinity. I do think this needs ita numbers to be fixed so as to not hit tha table too soon, but overall an intresting design that works as a face-beater and a sacrifice engine for combo.
Jimmy Groove: I was wondeeing what would you be doing when faced to the task of designing a vehicle for a horse, which is, well, a vehicle itaelf, and
I have to say you pulled it very well. That aaid, the card itaelf is interesting as a Boros Based vehicle. It is effective, well costed 4 mana and two power tapped is a fair price for a card that needs another to function, and it beats face without indulging in very sophisticated effects. This can be hitting for 8 in turn three should you land Good Horse on turn two and crew it, and it'a a pretty high risk-high reward play. The fact that it has no evasion and can be chumpblocked easily keeps it from being broken.
Thanks, I'm checking with master_of_the_universe to see if they want to provide critiques for this round. Although they missed the round, they still have the current high score and it would be a shame to have them miss out on the cut.
Still time for Jimmy and netn10 to provide critiques that might change final standings but I'd like to close out by tomorrow.

Gr9.

Still time for Jimmy and netn10 to provide critiques that might change final standings but I'd like to close out by tomorrow.
