Surprised, you turn to find who has come to your aid. Is it an old rival, tempted by the same treasures? A past romance rekindled in the jungle heat? Or an intriguing stranger whose interests align with yours?
In any case, it seems you will be better off heading forward together. You'll have to be at your best as well - from here on out is no place for common adventurers. With your new ally, you set forth across the cracked stone of the sun-baked plaza that lies before the final tower.
Challenge
Upgrade your Round 1 creature to a rare legendary creature, and add another rare legendary creature to represent your new ally using the color of your Round 2 card. They must use the "Partner with ~" mechanic from Battlebond. Each creature must be at least the color(s) of your card from Round 1 and Round 2 respectively, but you may add up to one additional color to either or both creatures.
Make Legend 1 the same color(s) as your Round 1 card, plus up to one other color if you like.
Make Legend 2 the same color as your Round 2 card, plus up to one other color if you like.
If you add colors to both Legends, you don't have to use the same color (you could add red to the first and black to the second, etc.).
This round is still open to everyone who participated last round, as there were fewer than 8 entries.

netn10 - Loving this Shadowmoor throwback stuff. Shani is reasonable in monowhite in that context specifically - shroud is odd but again, throwback I suppose. Static granting of persist seems abuseable. Leshem's card draw seems like it could get out of hand.
Cardz5000 - Loving this combination. Iris's wacky Mairsil the Pretender ability granting to both her AND her partner is great. Alva is also clever - doesn't need to be that color combination, but together they definitely get the most non-destroy removal so it makes sense.
doomfish - A rather simple and obvious pairing. Dolg is a bit less elegant than the original and Silvia's typeline is just... odd. There's a reason most Angels don't have class types, after all.
Hemlock - Vyeran has many Johnny applications but the count-the-number-of-land-names thing feels tacked-on even though it fits the flavor. Yozya seems plain annoying and I love it - tech in Doran!
willows - The reformed-criminal and cop pairing, nice unexplored flavor. Deirdre doesn't impress me all that much with the "gotta go fast" schtick when Samut, Voice of Dissent exists, but Suchet is rather clever.
Raptorchan - Cras is awesome but seems more U or G than R. Aiota is simple and works very elegantly with Cras. Good stuff.
Raptorchan: I really liked your fist entry and your legendary hero holds its spirit very well, the sidekick works nicely with it. I might have liked it if you could use the ability on any creature of your team as to make them more dominating as a strategy.
Doomfish: I really like tye simmetry herr, althought your sidekick deviates a lot from its round 2 aid submission. The +1/+1 counters for drawbacks theme seems interesting and this two ahow there's design room for it.
voidnothing: I'm not too sure on how they work together. The strangler's ability does a lot of things and becomes complicated, and althought I really like the flicker+damage thing Vonri has going on, the fact that taking advantage of the partner's counters ability is hard is a bit underwhelming.
Willows: Deirdre reads a bit odd, but it's clear she's fast and sneaky. I don't know why you're not using the word "investigate", but the flavor connection is fun and solid.
Netn10: while I appreciate the throwback here, I fail to see how to make a good exploiting of your upgraded hero. Both give small creatures lota of bonus, and are quite small themselves while being quite costy for creatures meant to be played in the same deck rather than in a team enviroment.
Cardz5000: Nice synergy between both and I'm quite sure your hero upgrade can be very fun to play. I like how it cares about
Nern10: While I appreciate the throwback, i don'think how they work together and I'm not sure how much advantage you can really gain from them, since tjey're quite small and expensive for two partners that are designed to be played in the same deck rather than in a team enviroment.
Willows: Deidre reads a bit odd but it's clear she's fast and sneaky. The ability on the sidekick might have used "investigate" I like how they connect flavorfully.
Cardz5000: I like that your hero upgrade cares about the partner and looks fun. The scholar in tje otjer hand seems dangerously abusable.
Doomfish: I really like tye simmetry herr, althought your sidekick deviates a lot from its round 2 aid submission.
The task was to upgrade the Round 1 card. Upgrading Round 2 wasn't required, only the color matters.
I'm struggling to see how your card is an upgrade. Mana cost is similar and both are 2/2, but I'm missing the connection. Your old card was about hating on creatures with 4 or more power. Your new card supports creatures with 2 power or less. That's very different approaches. Not sure why you are using shroud. Sure, it would be nice, but players misplay that. It's a very potent card and non-interactive for your opponents as it affects itself. I could see some interesting theme decks around the card. Now the second card feels like an upgrade to your first round, but it's not the one as the colors don't match. So Skulk for your team and carddraw. I like how you found something matching both green and blue. Not sure I like ramping up the non-interactivity. The two likely make for a cool commander pair.
You were supposed to make rares, not mythic rares and the task also included upgrading your round 1 creature. I see no connection between Iris and the Canny Whipmaster mechanic-wise. To me, you failed the assignment.
That being said, I like what Alva does for white and blue. Caring about leaving the battlefield that way is a cool thing for those colors. That plays nicely with Iris, but to me Iris is too narrow. 4 mana 3/3 is already rather weak and then you have to attack to get the effect. A simple block will seal the deal on the girl and all you got out of it was an artifact removal.
I like how the artifacts get applied to both Partners. That's super interesting.
It's hard to resist that new hexproof template, isn't it? I like to explore it too, but things can get confusing fast. The second ability reads very weird. It happens rather rarely that creatures enter the battlefield under an opponent's control during your turn. A cool upgrade though. Suchet is very flavorful, I like it. Plays nicely with Deirdre too.
That's a nice upgrade right there. Caring about lands with different names is cool. Even if that's something people do play anyways, that's not a bad thing to support. Yozya is in spirit of your round 2 card, even if that wasn't required. 1/6 indestructible is interesting, even if I don't know if it'll create good play patterns. I like how you can create a save environment for your creatures with this, something that'll find takers for sure.
I like how this upgrades and maintains mechanical identity. What I dislike is how it evolved into a mess of effects. Those three things happening to the creature seem a bit much.
When attempting something like that flavor becomes very important to carry the card. An assassin that somehow strengthens the victim first? I'm not even sure how that flavours as mercy. This would have done better with an evolve chamber kind of flavor. The creature becomes stronger, but it's a straining process and it might die during it. It also takes time, so it doesn't untap. Now he's just mercifully strangling himself all the time. Kinky.
Vonri is a bit too on the nose with the name. Hiring Aristocrat sounds like something that appears on a political cartoon, written over some guy's clothes, to make sure people get what's going on.
Outside of commander it's weird how this reduces Adhil's cost by 1, even though that doesn't appear in Adhil's cost. Reads like an oversight. Maybe it should have just generated some gold tokens?
The way the activated ability is ordered it seems like it cares about with how many counters the creature enters the battlefield again. Often that's none. The synergy with Adhil also escapes me. If it's about your creature you wouldn't want to get rid of the +1/+1 counters. If it's about your opponent's creatures that's a lot of effort to deal some damage.
A nice upgrade of your round 1 creature and I like how you can give up power for toughness with the deathtouch. However losing power and gaining toughness seems very out of place on a black/red creature and I really don't see the red in this.
Aiota is cool and has a nice connection to Cras. Forcing playpatterns where people who don't understand how p/t switching works within the layer rules will misplay this very strongly is a bit worrying.
I think Cras should have had Haste to justify the red part and so it can catch up to the quicker Aiota with it's flash. The overall playpattern here seems very fun.

I can see the synergy here. The mana costs aren't that pleasant though. Persist feels unnecessary because this team is clearly supposed to attack but 2/2 blockers will be killed anyway. Of course there are some blockers with 2 power but more toughness.
Yes it also works. Artiact removal seems okay for red and card draw is fine for blue. You also can combo it with your own artifacts. Though the "card leaves the battlefield" wording is kinda wrong.
Perfect synergy with a major drawback also. Unleash is fine but the angel clearly makes things worse for you if you want to use +1/+1 counters for you own creatures. Making your opponents' guys bigger to lean quasi-Pacifism upon them is fine but also tricky.
I hate control but I understand your design and I think it's almost fine. Indestructible is too much, though.
I love the idea about rogue and detective working together. The cards are decent and the synergy is clear. Not a fan of conditional spell type-specific hexproof, even for rares.
Why do you have to go and make things so complicated? (c) Avril Lavigne
The ability with +1/+1 counters and -4/-4 is confusing and the lack of synergy between cost reducing lord and a creature without generic mana in the cost is kinda frustrating. Other than that, I guess this is balanced while being a pain to understand.
netn10
To me Shani doesn't really feel like an upgrade to Giant-Slayer, since its selector is not only looking at the opposite thing, but Giant-Slayer's ability actualy disables Shani's, which seems odd if you imagine Shani as a specific, extra cool member of the giant-slayer community. Plus you used shroud.
Leshem is, like, not offensive in terms of flavor, since there's not that much there and it doesn't have a known relationship with any other stuff? But the whole power-2 theme you're pushing here, I don't think it's going to play all that great, and again I think rewarding low-power in reen is an error.
Cardz5000
Iris has daring templating. I feel like these are almost certainly broken but they're exciting and strange, so good on you. I like the flavor pairing of two slightly different kinds of nerdo wizards.
doomfish
I don't know, I'm not mad at them but they don't provoke any reaction really. I'd like them a lot more if they weren't so obviously a mirror pair, I think, and if the flavor pairing worked.
Hemlock
I have a vague flavor based idea about why Vyeran scales on land names but it's pretty obscure and strange! Green evasion is weird even when it's trying to be sneaky and indirect. Yozya is comparatively boring and stodgy.
Raptorchan
What justifies either of these creatures being legendary?
void_nothing
Adhil is still too math. Vonri is math too! It's a little puzzling that Vonri has a specific Skullbriar hosing ability.

willows - The reformed-criminal and cop pairing, nice unexplored flavor.

Multiple instances of lifelink on the same creature are redundant.
Multiple instances of lifelink on the same creature are redundant.
—Eli Shiffrin, Rules Manager, on a design stacking lifelink instances
The ability with +1/+1 counters and -4/-4 is confusing and the lack of synergy between cost reducing lord and a creature without generic mana in the cost is kinda frustrating. Other than that, I guess this is balanced while being a pain to understand.
