Inescapable Handcuffs3
Artifact (R)
When Inescapable Handcuffs enters the battlefield, if W or U was spent to cast it, detain target creature or planeswalker. (W/U)(W/U), T: Detain target creature or planeswalker. (Until your next turn, that permanent can't attack or block and its activated abilities can't be activated.) Waterproof, fireproof, and thief-proof.
Solid design, detaining a planeswalker very turn might be powerful though. It should probably have different activation costs.
Goblin Snow-Riders2R
Creature - Goblin Warrior (R)
Sacrifice a land: target creature gets haste until end of turn. If that land was snow, that creature also gets trample until end of turn.
3/2
It doesn't feel as rare at all. I like adding kicker to all creatures, but saccing a land might be too much.
I was 100% thinking we were gonna have to design a "good" Chandra. What a twist!
Temporal Binding1U
Instant (U)
Split second
Until end of turn, activated abilities your opponents control cost "skip your next turn" more to activate unless they're mana abilities. "Your future is always a good sacrifice for what you're doing now." - Zeryl Anadar
What's really the difference between this and just "can't activate abilities"? It seems such a huge cost that, except for combos, it probably reads the same and, if a combo, he could probably wait a turn anyway. I like the idea, I just think you overdid it. Should be rare btw.
Hivonnia, of the Coldest Eyes1WW
Legendary Snow Creature - Angel (R)
Flying, vigilance
Cumulative upkeep 1W (At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent, then sacrifice it unless you pay its upkeep cost for each age counter on it.)
Instants and sorcery spells can't be cast.
Activated abilities that aren't mana abilities can't be activated.
3/4
This really feels legendary, and it certainly meets the challenge. Seems to last only 2-3 turns though, which is 1-2 attacks only. I think you could have costed it more aggressively or lowered the stats and Cumulative cost.
Reinforced Spellward1W
Creature - Wall
Defender W: Reinforced Spellward gets +0/+1 until end of turn.
If you would be dealt noncombat damage, you may have that damage be dealt to Reinforced Spellward instead.
0/4
It's not new, but somehow this effect feels fresh to me. I can see this slowing down Chandra a lot, so good job! (Rarity?)
Todris052 - Sort of feels like... Mina and Denn, Wildborn, of all things. Powerful enough, flavor is fine if not original, whole package is bland.
Ink-Treader - A fine hoser and a fine blocker even when it's not hosing; this totally fits as an anti-Chandra card and also is a good sideboard pick against any kind of burn matchup. Hardworking and likable rare material.
theazurespirit - Melvin-wise, this works perfectly. Vorthos-wise, it almost does, but it conjures up an image of a roc with three feet for some reason.
Solesticio - Doggerel flavor text is always appreciated, and the bonuses here are splashy and nice, but at two mana this is definitely uncomfortably undercosted. Also, the name is pretty generic.
bravelion83 - Pretty innovative use of detain, and the flavor is perfect, but I don't like (colorless) artifacts that require colored mana of a specific type to use. Beyond that quibble, good.
glurman - Skipping steps and phases technically can't be a cost; see the Chronotog Oracle wording. This is a fiddly, Time Spiral-esque, very blue card that is also unfortunately just kind of underpowered.
Hemlock - Cumulative upkeep, how appropriate for an Ice Age-riff world! The name sadly doesn't do much for me but the card is an extremely powerful though balanced lockdown and the image of an angel freezing things in their tracks is awesome - this is rather like a take on Energy Storm, of all things.

Nice design, probably too strong. I imagine 2 Rhinos getting flying and bashing for 5 right now. Anyway, interesting idea!
