Arcel: Instant seems convoluted; generally flicker is instant or until end of turn; upkeep might result in forgetfulness. Colour changing can also result in memory issues. Creature is okay, but the mechanical link is tenuous at best (making this unblockable is good?). At six mana, it could probably still deal the combat damage; it's not even that much.
Socrates: Honestly, considering Withstand Death, the instant could cantrip without the 1/1. That said, its flavour is pretty cool. The creature is pretty strong, but vigilance seems to combo too well with its ability to creature stupidly good blocks, flashing in creatures AND making them all indestructible. It's very powerful. I don't think the flash-granting should be hybrid-white, even though it doesn't matter on a gold card.
TacticalCelebrant: Enchantmet is pretty cool and although it's black in flavour it is a bit borderline on the mechanics. I guess indestructibility is probably something that can be bled, though. I don't like the fact that the only thing it's dependent on as a lich is the enchantment itself. It feels like it should have some other cost, like all the cards that Lichify you. The creature is fine, but the abilities seem a bit stapled together, especially because the first doesn't even have any parts white.
Legend: The enchantment sounds really cool but, honestly, even though I've made this card some time, I don't think it's worth the hassle over plain old Indestructibility. It's also even harder to interact with (approximately one colour - white - can deal with this through enchantment removal or exiling) and that's not fun. Creature is going to cause a lot of memory issues and seems quite swingy. Once you swap some 10-20 life with a creature, either your opponent will die if they have no removal or you will if they do.
Prophylaxis: Formshift is pretty fair, and it's a cool way of being able to reuse your own creatures without card disadvantage as well as being a (bad) bounce spell. There's an interesting tension there; bounce your creatures or your opponents'? The creature seems very powerful, given one swing can land you a number of quite powerful creatures; maybe its default should be 3/3. A 4/4 Human Citizen also seems a bit too big.
Big_Cal: Instant is cool; I'd probably cost it at 3-monocoloured, but it is probably fine like this. Good that you can't perma-steal creatures with things like Act of Treason because the owner clause. It's pretty good. Creature is fair, although I don't know why you don't just search for it into hand. It's probably not that overpowered, considering it's only a 1/1 and there's no cheating into play like Stoneforge Mystic.
Gerrard's Mom: Instant seems very good. Natural Order is at the same cost, not instant and can "only" find Progenitus. This can get anything and looks very good considering Eldrazi Spawn tokens exist. If it weren't for those, I'd think it should be fine. You need specific things like Chronomaton to get a Blightsteel so that's ok. The creature is alright and mirrors itself nicely. Limiting to creature targets is good.

Good game everyone. I'm glad I could make it to the top 8, but this was a challenge I just couldn't find a way to do well. Congratulations to the top 4.
"Immortality" may have been done before, but I've never seen it. I knew there would be a field of indestructible and flicker cards so I decided to go with something at least relatively unique that might stand out. I should have made Malamancer only work for it's own power. Ah well, it was fun to get into the top eight. Good luck to the semifinalists!

Also, Liches in magic are zombies.
