How does this card-making game work? It's simple! Whenever your card receives a vote in the day's poll, you receive point for the month. If your card ends up with the most votes for that day, you will receive additional points for the month. In the event of a tie, each person who tied receives additional point. At the end of each month, the person with the most points on the scoreboard wins that month, then the scoreboard is cleared for the next month. You can participate in as many or as few days as you want in any month.
Each day you may post any card you want. On the next day all of the posted cards will be put into a poll the thread as long as your card didn't get disqualified - see the next point for more details. If you post more than one card in a DCC thread, only the first card you post will be taken.
When you vote, you need to make exactly two votes for two different people. Vote for the cards that are listed in the first post, not other cards being posted in the thread. If you notice that you've only voted for one person, include your second vote in a post, even if you're not submitting a card.
If you want to change your vote for any reason, post that change in the day's thread (you can include it with your card if you want). Changed votes in the discussion thread will be ignored.
Voting for only one person, for three or more people, or for yourself will earn you an asterisk by your name in the monthly leaderboard. So will failing to vote if you've posted a card. (We're not going to do anything about people who don't vote or post cards; that would be kind of silly.) This indicates that you're on probation for the next 21 days. If you're on probation and you make another improper vote, your card will be disqualified. Repeated disqualification is grounds for warnings and/or infractions for not following the game rules, so please don't do it.
Voting for everything in the poll will be grounds for a lifetime ban from the DCC. Don't do it. It just wastes the thread creators' time.
If you wish to post a render, please use the hyperlink option when posting your card and make the card name the image link. Renders are usually large enough to clog up the list, so submit a text-formed card and (optionally) a link in the name to the render.
This thread is just for your card submission. Take your questions/comments to our discussion thread. If it's a question, comment, or complaint about probation, PM me instead and I'll explain it.
Anyone can post the new thread for the day. When you post it, make sure that:
You have a poll in the thread;
You include everyone's cards (excluding cards that have been disqualified);
The poll is marked as public and multiple choice with a one-day time limit; and
You update the leaderboard with the previous day's scores.
(An easy way to post the new thread is to hit the multiquote button on every post in the previous day's thread, then click Post Reply. Select everything in this post, copy it, and then paste it into the first post for a new thread. You'll have to clean up a few small things, like quote tags around the opening post and the previous day's cards.)
Notes of the Day
This note will probably remain the same the whole month: This month of the DCC will all be taking place here on MTGSalvation, MTGNexus will formally open to the public in mid-July, the first MTGNexus DCC will begin in August.
Congratulations to Flatline for his completely unexpected victory... Obviously I'm joking, but the congratulations are true!
Votes: IcariiFA, Indighost (That's a word in Italian too: afflato. Very similar spelling and same meaning. It's rare and poetic, but I've heard it several times in my life in Italian. I had never heard it before in English though.)
Creature — Fish (U)
When Slippery Eel enters the battlefield, creatures you control can’t be blocked this turn.
Dash 3UU(You may cast this spell for its dash cost. If you do, it gains haste, and it’s returned from the battlefield to its owner’s hand at the beginning of the next end step.) Don’t hope to catch it with your hands.
Peak of Biomancery2GU
Lands you control are all basic land types and creatures you control are all creature types. To the Simic Combine, the entire world is a big canvas. It can always be refined, and it is as vast as your imagination allows it to be.
Artifact (M) B, T, Sacrifice six creatures: Search your library for a card, put that card onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library.
Many seek it as a source of limitless power, but the cost is one few could ever pay.
Haystack of Waning3
Artifact (U) 2, T: Target player discards a card unless they put the top three cards of their library into their graveyard. 4, Q: Return target Scarecrow card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Hellblade Crusader 2RR
Creature--Devil Knight (Rare)
At the beginning of your upkeep Hellblade Crusader deals 1 damage to each player RRRRR: Until end of turn, whenever a creature you control deals damage to a player put a +1/+1 counter on that creature
I'm going to add that note to the MCC too. It's the only contest that doesn't mention Nexus yet, and the only one you're not hosting this month. Obviously those two things are linked, so I'll fix it right now.
Votes: netn10, void_nothing
Creature — Human Rogue (U)
Spectacle 2R(You may cast this spell for its spectacle cost rather than its mana cost if an opponent lost life this turn. Damage causes loss of life.)
Bloodthirst 2 (If an opponent was dealt damage this turn, this creature enters the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it.) “Gruul members make for excellent performers in Rakdos shows. Their habit to blood loss comes in very handy.”

• The two public custom sets I've been part a part of the design team for: "Brotherhood of Ormos" - Blog post with all info - set thread - design skeleton / card list || "Extinctia: Homo Evanuit" - Blog post with all info - set thread - card list spreadsheet
• "The Lion's Lair", my article series about MTG and custom card design in particular. Latest article here. Here is the article index.Rather outdated by now, and based on the old MCC rubric, but I'm leaving this here for anybody that might be interested anyway.
• My only public attempt at being a writer: the story of my Leonin custom planeswalker Jeff Lionheart. (I have a very big one that I'm working on right now but that's private for now, and I don't know if I will ever actually publish it, and I also have ideas for multiple future ones, including one where I'm going to reprise Jeff.)
When this permanent enters the battlefield, place 3 Waning counters on it
At the beginning of each upkeep if no player cast a spell last turn, add a Waxing counter counter to ~ and remove a Waning counter from it. Then if there are 3 or more Waxing counters on it, transform it.
Wolf and Non-Human Werewolf creatures you control get +1/+0 for each Waxing counter on it and +0/+1 for each Waning counter on it.
// Waning Moon
At the beginning of each upkeep, if no player cast a spell last turn, add a Waning counter to ~ and remove a Waxing counter from it. Then if there are 3 or more Waning counters on it, transform it.
Wolf and Non-Human Werewolf creatures you control get +1/+0 for each Waxing counter on it and +0/+1 for each Waning counter on it and have trample.
Agent of WasteWB
Creature - Human Advisor (R)
At the beginning of each opponents end step, that opponent loses life equal to the number of untapped lands they control. "I told you not to waste a coin, not to horde them!"
Artifact creatures you control gain modular until end of turn. (Whenever one of them dies this turn, you may put its +1/+1 counters on target artifact creature.)
Draw a card.
