Ravnica needs card designers!
Can you help defend Ravnica against outside forces that threaten to conquer it? Be careful, some guilds are traitors to the cause!
Rules:
Sign up by calling one of the ten guilds to play. You'll have to design cards in that guild's colors. First come, first served, we only have 10 player spots, one for each guild.
Once we have our ten representatives, I'll private message you with your secret allegiance. You are either one of the 7 Guildpact players, or one of the 3 Bolas players. Everyone must pretend to be Guildpact.
Those who are Guildpact will also receive three Quests to choose from (the same three quests for everyone.) You must design one card (within your guild colors) that would be very useful to solve that quest. Give it a flavor text that shows your card in action, and PM that card to me. (Don't discuss the quests. You may feed information to the Bolas players!)
Once I have your 7 cards, I'll PM two of them at random to the Bolas players, but with their names and flavor texts removed. Once they get a chance to examine the cards (hopefully getting clues about the quests), they will each design a card (no flavor for now.) Try to design your card in such a way that you can pretend to have known the quest later.
When we have the 10 cards (7 with flavor texts, 3 without) I'll reveal the three quests in a post, so the Bolas team may examine them. Now they add flavor text (and possibly change the names of their cards), to better pretend to have known the quests all along. Once they PM me the reflavored cards, I'll post the 10 cards for all to see. Then players may discuss on who is a Bolas guild designer, defend themselves, and vote for a traitor to Exile. The player with more votes is out, and we may continue to another round. Once all the Bolas players are out, or once they may force a tie while voting, the corresponding team wins.
--- Example Quests:
* A swarm of vampiric bats has overrun part of the Undercity. They are extremely ravenous for blood.
* We think a ooze shapeshifter has infiltrated the senate. We need to detect it somehow. (It's water-soluble and lightning-resistant.)
So I'll take Golgari.
I assume Bolas pawns know each other?
Also, some rules from Mafia forum would need to be introduced here probably before it all becomes pure chaos.

Yes, Bolas players know each other.
Good idea, I think the more relevant are:
-Suicide-
If you no longer wish to participate in a game for any reason, contact the moderator. Do NOT attempt to force the moderator to modkill you.
-Current Game Discussion-
A player in an ongoing game may not discuss that game with any other player in that game, or in public forums. Also, it is a good idea to ask permission before discussing the game with anyone outside the game, because they can no longer replace into the game once any meaningful discussion takes place.
-Out-of-game Promises-
Players may not use out-of-game promises (example: I swear on my grandmother's life, I bet you my entire collection of magic cards, etc.) in an effort to influence other players.
I'll send the private messages in a few hours.
Also, I'll allow the Bolas players to design two cards. Then they'll be able to submit one of the two they most feel they can flavorfully adapt to the Quests, when I reveal them.
To answer a question:
The card you design must be in your guild, this means it should have a watermark if printed in a Ravnica set. In other words, it can be:
Two-colored.
One colored with the other color in a cost within the card.
One colored, using one of the guild mechanics previously printed in a ravnica block.
Well Once every Guildpact player submits their cards
the Bolas players make theirs with only the Guild cards to look at to guess the quest
Then they try and flavor their cards once they know the quest.
We will presumably vote someone out based on the card they created.
I'm hoping 1 day for Guildpact cards, 1-2 day for Bolas cards (more because they get to discuss with each other, and then get to make flavor revisions after I publish the quests here), then 1~2 days for Discussion/Voting for Exiling. But it's flexible, I'll just be reminding people if there are stragglers on a phase.
By the way, here's the process by which I gave the cards to the Bolas team: First, I selected one randomly among the 7. Then, I selected another one at random for a different Quest (then I removed their names and flavor texts.) I'll continue doing this to make sure the Bolas team can have a hint to 2 out of the 3 quests.

Just FYI, I'm often very busy/not as able to post on weekends, so any phase that falls on a weekend may not get as timely a response from me as might be desired. :/

Correct, Bolas team can discuss strategies.
I've received the two tentative cards from each Bolas agent, so here are the Quests for them to peruse. Once they reflavor their cards, I'll post the 10 cards, and Exiling discussions begin!
Quests:
1: It has come to our attention that a tiny lost homunculus named Fblthp carries very important information. We need to find this creature pronto, but it could be anywhere.
2: The entities known as Nephilim have begun stirring again. We know trying to destroy them is futile, so we need a way to contain them for long. Their defining characteristic is their embodiment of many types of magic.
3: An ally wants to transfer to us a batch of new spells that may help our cause. Help her transfer these spellbooks into our arsenal.
1: Let's make the votes public, here. You can change votes anytime, but if the 10 votes are in, they may get counted anytime (ie: when I visit the thread and see them.) Use "Vote: XXX" at the end of a post, so it's clear you are not just proposing doubts.
2: If votes are tied, only one player is exiled, I'll roll a dice in thread to determine it.
Since I don't play mafia, I hope these determinations are not too terrible
And the cards are here! (In no particular order. I'm always shuffling these lists, courtesy of Random.org.)

Dimir is the only one who picked the Nephilim challenge. That suggests they are honest (like the Dimir always are).
Azorius looks suspicious to me. The ability is generic, and the flavor seems like it's trying to cover that. A single knight with vigilance is not great protection from Dimir spies. Highly suspicious.
Izzet looks like they knew what quest 1 was to begin with. They're probably honest.
Boros is so strange and specific that it's probably honest.
The flavor of Orzhov seems strange, but the ability itself seems like it's clearly referring to quest 3 rather than generically trying to protect some information like Selesnya and Simic.
I'm not sure about Golgari. The findbroker thing makes sense for quest 1, but the abilities don't seem like they'd be useful for finding Fblthbp. Perhaps a rebranding.
Obviously, you can trust good old Rakdos. Look at the spiky chains I'm wearing. Super trustworthy.
