Hybrid mana has always been challenging to "do right", but we're going to look at making some leaps and bounds and push hybrid where it hasn't gone before:
Challenge I: Design a card that is three colors and that, aside from generic mana, ONLY uses hybrid mana.
Challenge II: Design a card that has monocolored hybrid in its text box.
Challenge III: Design a colorless card with hybrid in its mana cost.
All Challenges:
• Unless otherwise specified (i.e. Challenge II), any form of hybrid mana is acceptable for these challenges, including any NEW types of hybrid mana.
Challenge I:
• The card does not need to have generic mana
Challange II:
• A Monocolored hybrid symbol in reminder text does not satisfy this challenge
Challenge III:
• Devoid or Ghostfire type wording are both acceptable answers to this challenge.
Blurred Realities2(2/C)
Sorcery (R)
Multikicker C
Exile up to X+1 target permanents, where X is the number of times Blurred Realities was kicked. At the beginning of each end step, return a random permanent exiled this way to the battlefield under its owners control.
White Maker3UB
Snow Creature - Eldrazi (R)
Devoid
Menace
Colored creatures don't untap unless their controller pays (2/S) for each creature he or she controls. Snow, ice, or dust? There is little time to discern the difference before it finds you.
3/5
Yorzot, First to Feed4
Legendary Creature - Elder Vampire (M)
First strike, lifelink
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you have 25 or more life than an opponent, that opponent loses the game. "I have consumed countless mortals and as many who claimed eternal life. Who are you to stand against me?"
5/5
Jeskai Truthseeker
Creature - Human Monk (u)
Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)
Whenever Jeskai Truthseeker deals combat damage to a player, scry X, where X is the damage dealt by it.
2/2
Face Justice
Instant (u)
Exile target creature unless its controller pays "Speak your truth, my sword is listening" - Pessimus, Knight-chief of Orlan.
Limb of Hunger (2/ ) (2/ ) (2/ )
Sorcery (r) (2/ can be paid with any two mana or with . This card's converted mana cost is 6.)
Exile the top three cards of target player's library, Then create an X/X colorless Eldrazi token, where X is equal to the total converted maná cost of cards that player has in exile.
Challenge I:
On IcariiFA's card, I would have gone (W/B)(B/R) and possibly substituted flying for first strike, because black does "lose the game" a lot more than white, and black should be the central color for Vampires. 25 is also a slightly weird number - not 20?
On Hemlock's card, scry = damage feels a bit off for the red/white possibility. Otherwise I think it's pretty nice.
Winner: IcariiFA
Challenge II:
Man snow Eldrazi with the return of devoid is not something I am really looking for, and I'm not even sure if snow technically counts as "monocolor hybrid". Needing black and having menace are kind of random. I also dislike using snow as a punishment instead of rewarding yourself.
Hemlock's Rhystic STP would be a major pain in Constructed, and I only buy it at uncommon if it's "target attacking creature".
Winner: Hemlock but I didn't like either of these
Challenge III:
The cost is pretty funky but I like how Blurred Realities works. I think I would just slap the colorless twobrid on all of the costs there - twice in the casting cost and once as the multikicker. One of the things is only gone for your turn so it's only useful to kill tokens or remove a blocker.
I very much like that Hemlock completed the cycle of those costs. The effect fits together nicely and has an exciting upper limit if you can pull it off at 3 mana, but has a lot of variance depending on their deck.
Winner: Hemlock
I had to think about this for a while and it was really close. On my initial pass I thought I liked Icarii's more but I swung over to Hemlock on the colorless one, and the three-color hybrids were closer than I thought, so Hemlock got the vote.
I think Icarii has a good knack for the splashy and new stuff that plays well in these contests. If I could offer any advice, it might be something like consistency - the issues I brought up above were mostly just things being slightly off for aesthetic or historic expectations.
Hemlock, I tend to feel that your cards are boring on initial pass, so it might help in these things to try to spice it up with fresh lines of text now and then. But you are good at the Melvin aspect of fitting together a pretty coherent card without it going in too many weird directions.

Also, is this a hidden poll? I can't see the votes.

I enjoyed playing with both of you for the month!
