Having finished their haranguing of the curator, Otto follows everyone else to the shop.
As he observes the wares, he gains an interest in one of the numerous staves in the store and buys:
the Tridron Staff (-150G). "Not mop. Much like mop. Have to do."
He overhears the florist's plea for haggling, although is quite sure that the price for something so mass produced would not be lowered.
He reaches into his pouch and pulls out 50 coins, handing it to Graethyl.
"Don't pay back coin. Pay back deed," he smiles and lumbers off to the Pylian Stones, planning on taking the Beacon to the location labeled "Thermal Caverns". (Er, same situation of too many moves as Chambles.)

OOC: I guess technically a cloak is an accessory and I glubbed up my making your body thing a cloak, so go ahead and move the cloak to your accessories sections.
Hurg refuses your offer, but grunts an approving grunt at the fact that you were at least nice about it. He gladly sells you the armor, which you put on. But wait, then Otto gives you 50 coins in the hopes that you will pay him back someday with your actions. You buy the staff as well, then. You also see a strange Cat Warrior walk into the store behind you and look very closely at all the wares. Dissatisfied, he snarls and storms out…
CHAMBLES
OOC: Yes, this is a turn well taken, you can most definitely do all this.
After saying your farewells to Halliwold and your friends, you quickly stop in the shop to buy some Armor which you equip as you amble back to the Pylian Stone and touch the gem depicting Beacon Peak.

There is an unknown man standing right at the end of the light beam, as well as another in a dark cloak running toward you from the camp.
ILUK
You head over to The Cloak and Dagger shop and meet Hurg, an oversized goblin with a scar over one of his eyes. "You want sumthin'?" he asks you. These are the wares for sale here:
Practical Sword (+1 Power), 250 coins
Practical Shield (+1 Toughness), 200 coins

You also see Graethyl hanging out in the store, in addition to the strange Cat Warrior that Graethyl was noticing. (see above Graethyl update if curious)
JAYKER
The goblin seems to be growing increasingly displeased with you. "I made a deal once. Gave a discount. The other grub didn't follow through. Now, he paid the price. Since then, I don't make deals. You going to buy something, buy something. If not, maybe merchants elsewhere would be better for your tricks."
Unrelated, you notice the same cat warrior as Iluk and Graethyl (see end of Graethyl update above for brief description.)
VINRON
You buy and equip the staff, then make your way to the work post to find something to do.

OTTO
OOC: No, this is like… the right amount of stuff to do.
You go to the shop where you kindly make give Graethyl some coin and buy a staff for yourself (don't forget to update your moneys -200), before going to the central Pylian Stone and whisking yourself away to the Thermal Caverns. As you arrive, you see a human woman in a whole lot of gear making her way into the caves. You also hear a rustling in the foliage behind you.

"Oh, her? I don't know. She's new." You go to ask her directly instead. "It's my brother," she tells you. "He went to go cave-diving at the isles and hasn't come back. It's been two days now. At first I thought it was just that the portal was broken, but now that it's back up and he hasn't returned, I'm really worried."
With some new locations opened, Shalin took a look at where the Pylian Stones could take her. Both the plateau and the isles looked interesting--she hoped to gather some of Nature's finest to ally with her there. She wasn't getting anywhere alive without some prep work though--she headed over to the Cloak and Dagger to see what inventory they had for purchase there.

The Runner's Boots jumped out at her, perfect for catching up to beasts she was tracking down, or if she could figure out how, make their speed apply to whatever beast she could get her hands on. "These are perfect!" She counted out 200 coins in currency and paid for her purchase before heading to the Isles of Mugundi. Chambles quickly takes in her surroundings - the man at the beacon seems in a fuddling way, and you know what happens to those who fuddle together. (they get nowhere!)
She starts towards the running man in the cloak, but a spark of intuition (+R) tells her not to let her guard down. He seems dangerous, or at least unpredictable. She flexes beneath her armor to get her stretchin' on (ooh so sexy mrs chambles). "Friend runnerer, hail from Goodly Chambles! Wherefore you headed? In needing assistance?"
If he's only got talking to do, she'll head on to the camp to greet and send wellwishings to the leader, whoever that might be.

Add GU to your mana pool.
It's amazing how different this place is from where you just left. The portal system is really quite something. For miles in any direction all you can see is just water. As you look around you realize you've moved a tiny bit. You come to notice the orbiting pattern of the islands on which you stand, in all its strangeness. In a tree on an island two away from the one on which you stand, you see a pack of three small monkey-like creatures:
Mugundi ApeG

Whenever a player spends three or more mana, that player may tap or untap Mugundi Ape.

CALE and SHALIN
Cale, the Human Justiciar, arrives (Cale add G to mana pool) in the portal moments after Shalin, and explains what is happening with the woman from the cathedral and her brother who went missing here while cave-diving. Together, you look down at the bases of the islands and are able to see with ease that there is indeed a large hole just below the water in the center island, which could very well lead to an interesting cave. But perhaps also a dangerous one. One thing is certain, if the woman's brother is still here, he is not in plain sight.
Just in case one or both of you go this route, I'll say this much: You don't need a spell to know how to swim, but who knows how long the cave is before there's an air pocket, if there even is an air pocket…
JAYKER and GRAETHYL
Graethyl goes up to this cat and asks what seems to be going on, only to have Jayker show up a few seconds later and interrupt. Both give him an odd look, then the conversation continues. "I was sent to buy a dagger for my master, but daggers are not here. I inspect each item, none of them is a dagger, you see. If you can help me find dagger, maybe I can help you something else, yes? Master gives many gifts, he will be grateful."
You can help him find a dagger, or you can craft a dagger, however…
Goal: Craft the cat a dagger
Challenge: 18.5
Rules: Must be one card only
…the challenge rating is somewhat high.
If you accept, the cat will follow you until it has its dagger. Besides it being a cat creature, you do not know its stats/abilities.
As an aside, the two of you talk simply with one another, expressing that you did indeed both see the vision.

You could aid him in his escape, or aid the soldiers in his capture, or just watch. Challenge ratings for simple traps and tricks is 16 here.

I think this might be better as an X spell that gave that pump to X target creatures. Islandwalk across the board is either completely useless or game-winning, which makes this card a bit swingy in a bad way. That said, in most scenarios where this would even see play (limited), it's probably fine. 6.5/10

CARD: I worry that the first ability is too strong on an uncommon enchantment. I also think there's maybe just a bit much going on, but the idea is solid. 7/10
FLAVOR: I'm not sure I get how the "cleansed earth" aspect of this is helping the woman, but the mechanic itself of protection from red and gaining life from red makes a little more sense, and the flavor text helps on this score as well. 7.5/10

What makes a person successful?
Having so much gold in your pockets that you have to hire people to hold up your pants for you.
What's the best way to solve a problem?
I generally find that a pick-axe to the face works wonders for most 'problems' I encounter. Failing that, start chucking fireballs. Basically my problem solving strategy boils down to "Apply violence to problem. If problem is not solved, apply MORE violence."
What role do others serve in your life?
They're completely irrelevant. What matters is me and getting what *I* want. Oh sure I pay lip service to the clan higher-ups so that I can keep a hold of this "Trade Emissary" title I've managed to snag, but in the end I'm looking out for Number One.
What's your favorite food?
Basically any kind of roasted meat and a cup of nice brown ale. I like to wash down the tastes of fire and death with something that'll lower my inhibitions.
What is your most favorite and least favorite quality about yourself?
I suppose my favorite thing about myself would probably be my ability to turn anything into into a positive. Sometimes I even manage to amaze myself at how easily a strategic application of precision violence can turn even the most boring of situations into a roaring good time. I guess my least favorite quality would have to be the fact that sometimes I get to carried away while having my fun and break my 'toys'.
She waves and hollers a greeting to the person(s) who just arrived ("Hulloa to seeing a face, and goods day!") then becomes entranced by the shiny beam of light... so pretty... Chambles heads towards the beacon and asks the gawking man what's up with it. Maybe he needs some help with it? Who knows?
(OOC: sorry didn't see that note before, I'll include challenge rating in the future)
I see Chambles the Easily Fuddled assisting in the arrest of some thief, which is a nice thing to do. Heading into Brightrock Camp with the Cat in tow, I start asking the Cat some questions: "What is your name?"; "Who is your master?"; "What's so special about this dagger you're searching for?"
After hearing some (or no) replies, we run into Exadier Jasson, who appears to be running this encampment.
"Hello there, good campmaster. We just came from Arwendale, and my friend here is looking for some equipment. Where might we be able to find some? Also, I'm after some work where I can earn some coin. Can you provide me with any?"

Swiftheart Amulet (+First strike), 200 coins
"Aye, I wish I had more for ye. I should in a little bit once requests can come in again now that the portal's re-opened, but for now all I've got it this."
Ranch Repair (Reward: 250 coins)
"If ye want that, ye can report straight to the ranch."
(Sorry for the limited options. I had a busy night/morning. There will be many many more soon.)
Add R to your mana pool.
CALE
Practical Shield (+1 Toughness), 200 coins
Arwendale Armor (+1 Toughness; +1 Mod on spells using the word "life"), 400 coins
Tridron Staff (+1.5 Mod on spells with CMC equal to 3), 150 coins
Runner’s Boots (+1 Mod on spells using the word "haste"), 200 coins
Swiftheart Amulet (+First strike), 200 coins
The Runner's Boots jumped out at her, perfect for catching up to beasts she was tracking down, or if she could figure out how, make their speed apply to whatever beast she could get her hands on. "These are perfect!" She counted out 200 coins in currency and paid for her purchase before heading to the Isles of Mugundi. She planned to go an adventure for an animal companion to travel aboard or alongside.

"Oh, good, someone has finally arrived. I was worried. I'm afraid some of my livestock have been tearing away at the fences. As you can see, they're all torn up. OOC: See everyone note at the top re:runner's boots. Also, while it doesn't matter, you technically have shoes in your inventory?
You purchase a fine pair of boots from the store and equip them, then run off to the Pylian Stone in search of animal adventure. You touch the gem depicting a set of islands and off you go.
Mugundi Ape G
Creature - Ape
Whenever a player spends three or more mana, that player may tap or untap Mugundi Ape.
2/1
You also see… (see below)
CHAMBLES
As the man gets closer, you can see in the distance that he is being chased by some guardly-looking soldiers. "Out of my damn way!" he screams as he approaches you. You can see he is carrying some sort of shiny thing tucked under his arm as he makes a mad dash for the Stone.
You could aid him in his escape, or aid the soldiers in his capture, or just watch. Challenge ratings for simple traps and tricks is 16 here.
JACK
You make your way to the outskirts of town and find Goram Grav and give him the letter, asking him to read it and sign that he agrees as you do. He opens it, reads it, turns to you, shouts "How dare you?!" and attacks!
Goram Grav RR

Think of it as your opponent's declare attackers step. You can cast spells at instant speed, declare blockers if it gets that far (you must declare at least one, so… probably yourself), then things would go on etc. etc. etc. But remember, you need this man's signature, which means you need him alive.

You follow the woman into the caverns and strike up a nice conversation. You don't make it too far -- the cave is still more or less uninteresting -- when she starts to speak of feeling ill. It's not much longer until she faints from the heat. Maybe she was overdressed or just has low tolerance. You are feeling the heat yourself, but not anywhere near enough to make you ill or unconscious.

Whatever you want. But it's a normal ordinary fence, so... just keep that in mind I guess?
To the leonin: "It is unfortunate that this store does not contain a dagger. But I'm more than happy to help you look for an adequate dagger for your master, as I cannot create one now."
Without any further input from the leonin, I decide to head over to the Pylian Stone. I see a plateau through the gem, and I teleport to Beacon Peak with the leonin (and Jayker if he is so inclined).

CARD: I think I like this. It's cute, it makes sense, it plays funnily well with heroic of all things, I'm honestly not sure if it couldn't be common these days. 8.5/10
FLAVOR: Walls can be creatures, sure. My issue here is that you've got the reinforce the fence part covered, but the repair-the-broken-parts part is somewhat lacking. Overall, though, I could see the vines taking the place of the missing fence patches. 6.5/10

GRAETHYL (and Jayker if he wants)

You see the shimmering beacon of light for which this place is known, and a mesmerized man leaning just up against it.
You also see, in the direction of the camp, much to-do with a cyclops you recognize: Chambles, who seems to be stopping some sort of thief.
You also see a bright winged creature a little ways off in the distance in the other direction, too far away to get a good look at.
JACK
CARD: Simple but effective. Took me a second to see it was permanent and not creature but once I did, yeah, the rarity makes sense. Good internal flavor and all. Excellent. 9/10

You succeed in not dying when the warrior hits you, thanks to strange toymaker magicks. Goram keeps hitting you with his sword in futility while you try to explain. Eventually, he grows tired and resigns to his fate, signing the form.
You return to Lady Malabella with the signed forms, and she is very grateful.
You get 500 coins, 6 exp, and (G/W)(G/W)(G/W)
CALE (and Shalin)
Goal: Breathe Underwater
Challenge: 15.5
CARD: Missing a rarity. Be sure to include from now on as it's a big factor especially on a swingy card like this. I think this might be better as an X spell that gave that pump to X target creatures. Islandwalk across the board is either completely useless or game-winning, which makes this card a bit swingy in a bad way. That said, in most scenarios where this would even see play (limited), it's probably fine. 6.5/10
FLAVOR: Yeah, islandwalk is probably the way to go here and the name makes it very clear what sort of spellcasting this is that you're doing. 9/10
Score: 15.5
SUCCESS, exp gained: 8
You can now both breathe underwater for the next several turns.
CHAMBLES
Difficulty: 16
CARD: Yeah, this seems right. At common, 3 mana gets a junky 0/6, so this at uncommon makes sense especially since the effect is symettrical. Good flavor text, good name, good all around. 9.5/10
FLAVOR: Also very good on this score. Not much to say. Makes sense. 9/10
Score: 18.5
SUCCESS
Exp gained: 6
As the thief and the guards get tangled up in the maze, you help orchestrate a successful bumping-into-each-other. The guards draw swords but only to get the thief to give himself up. Once he has done so, the swords are sheathed and he is escorted into custody. The guards thank you with 100 coins as they head back to the camp.
OTTO
Challenge: 16
CARD: I worry that the first ability is too strong on an uncommon enchantment. I get that there's the sacrifice clause in there, but if you're somewhat at an advantage going into casting this spell against a red opponent, I think it will make perhaps too big of a different.
Score: 14.5 + 1.5 = 16
SUCCESS, exp gained: 6

BR
