You could pay him to be brought up to speed, (or you could just read my updates from the past; he won't tell you anything different).

Goal: Find grabbable sea creature

CARD: I feel like this might be a little strong. On the other hand, it costs two mana and doesn't draw you a card, so maybe I'm confusing "too strong" with "actually playable common." I like the idea, and the name, and all that jazz, so let's just say it's good and be done with it. 8/10
FLAVOR: The name obviously applies. The mechanic is a little different. I kind of wish it were a search-according-to-number-of-Islands deal, but this makes sense too. 8/10

You can't detect any other living beings here, but surely he didn't lock himself up like this.

"I'm afraid wares I cannot offer you here. Arwendale or the Citadel would be your best bet. As for work, however, I believe I have something for you." He hands you what appears to be a glass lens. "I am trying to develop new methods of vision, you see, and working on a prototype. Perhaps someone more magically inclined like you could help me. You see, for this lens to be shaped to its proper form, it needs to be kept in absolute total complete darkness for several minutes. That kind of darkness doesn't exist in the natural world, but perhaps you could arrange something?"

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
"So then I said, 'That's no gully dwarf, that's my wife-'" Dogul's hilarious joke got cut off before he could enjoy all the laughing it would no doubt inspire. Something...strange, was happening. One moment he was in a tavern near a mine he'd recently acquired for "The Noble and Most Glorious House of Dur", and the the next he was...not. And he suddenly felt sick, which was odd because the night was still young and he'd barely even started his eighth flagon of ale. Covering his eyes, Dogul attempted to keep from vomiting as he took stock of things.
As far as he could tell, something magical had happened. That wasn't good. Dogul's own talents for magic were mostly limited to inflicting bodily or psychological harm and the occasional glamour, so if he'd gotten in trouble with somebody who could forcibly teleport him around, this could get real bloody real fast. Not that Dogul minded blood. In fact, he rather enjoyed it. He just preferred to not be its source.
Uncovering his eyes and searching his surroundings, Dogul attempted to construct a plan. Scanning the horizon, his eyes immediately fell upon the castle. "Oh good, an obvious seat of power." The dwarf thought to himself. "That'll do nicely. I'll just head on over, explain to them how I was brought here against my will and that they'd do well to send me back home with all haste and not incur the wrath of House Dur and Clan Axebiter. I can be back in The Drunken Brushwagg before anyone even notices I'm gone, and probably even finish telling my joke as well."
