Raedyn could not believe it. He stared at Geriax, his jaw dropping for a few seconds as to be in the presence of a god. He shook his head, then turned to face his party. "We shall discuss this turn of events later--for now we must make a retreat." He offered Feria a seat on his drake's back, and as many students as could fit on the white-striped behemoth's back or as many as it was willing to carry, whichever was fewer. He asked if Feria could summon some kind of creature for the rest of the students to jump onto, as to expedite the journey home. Before climbing onto his drake, Raedyn rest his hands on each of the beast's legs for a few seconds, imbuing an adaptation to make it a little more lithe, and thus fast enough to keep up with the drake that would fly overhead. With Raedyn climbing aboard his drake, the large group began their long, disappointing journey back to the Academy. Sure, they bagged something cool, but it wasn't what they were after to begin with.
Raedyn's +2 ability was used to make the beast fast enough to keep up with the drake. Purely a flavor thing--just wanted to use his ability before the event ends. There are 4 posts remaining for the control effect, which should be enough for him to do what he wants with the beast before letting it go.

Having returned with the white-striped beast, Raedyn let some more students of the academy get a close look at it before taking it downstairs to his lab, extracting many DNA samples from it for analysis as well as performing a full biological and physiological documentation. He captured several images of the rare baloth from various angles, as well. When his work was finished, he guided the beast well outside the Academy and released the leash, thanking it for its cooperation and setting it free.
Afterward, Raedyn went downstairs again, summoning his drake familiar in an attempt to make augments to it. Remembering the work he had done for an elf girl months back, he worked to make a similar adaptation for his drake. He sought to augment his drake with insectile wings over batlike wings, and a spearlike poison barb on its tail. If successful, it would greatly improve its mobility...but it would take time for the adaptation to develop.

The mana lights all the way in the corner intrigued Raedyn quite a bit. The white one didn't suit his studies well at all, but the others caught his interest. He picked up a set of them except the white one. They would look perfect hanging over his lab, turned on and off when necessary. Before long, he would be able to create the perfect creature for any situation.
After his purchase, he went back down to his lab to install them, then checked the results of the tests he did with the white-striped baloth--what kind of traits he could implant into it. Finally, he checked back in with the Academy staff he regularly sees, trying to get a feel for what was going on in the next several days. Maybe he'd find an excuse to give his new insectoid drake a field test.

At present, Raedyn determined he did not have the resources on hand to fulfill the order. He told the others in the lab that he wanted to fulfill the order later. For now, he left the lab and academy. He summoned his insectile drake far away from town to minimize the sonic disturbance it would make. He put on some earmuffs to dilute the sound, then swung himself aboard the drake. His skin tingling as the drake's rapidly-vibrating wings helped it achieve liftoff, he used a resource-gathering trip as an excuse to take the giant, buzzing creature for a field test. Who knows? Maybe something else amazing would catch his eye.

Her wings phase out, becoming invisible and nonexistent, although they were still there, despite not occupying space. Her aura normalises.... sort of, it's a mite less foreboding at least. As for her clothing... while the armor was quaint, it wasn't exactly the best of things for her, she noted. Comfort and function, as they molded themselves into the robes, coat, bindings, and small gadgets that used to outfit her, before... all this happened, except, it was more advanced, and the gauntlet won't change, a jewelry then. Lastly the eyes... while not quite being able to put them away, she could at least dull them, she decided, just say it was an experiment gone awry or something.
With that over, she opens the door and walks over to the market place. Hopefully, nothing surprising would happen.

Raedyn could not believe it. He stared at Geriax, his jaw dropping for a few seconds as to be in the presence of a god. He shook his head, then turned to face his party. "We shall discuss this turn of events later--for now we must make a retreat." He offered Feria a seat on his drake's back, and as many students as could fit on the white-striped behemoth's back or as many as it was willing to carry, whichever was fewer. He asked if Feria could summon some kind of creature for the rest of the students to jump onto, as to expedite the journey home. Before climbing onto his drake, Raedyn rest his hands on each of the beast's legs for a few seconds, imbuing an adaptation to make it a little more lithe, and thus fast enough to keep up with the drake that would fly overhead. With Raedyn climbing aboard his drake, the large group began their long, disappointing journey back to the Academy. Sure, they bagged something cool, but it wasn't what they were after to begin with.
Raedyn's +2 ability was used to make the beast fast enough to keep up with the drake. Purely a flavor thing--just wanted to use his ability before the event ends. There are 4 posts remaining for the control effect, which should be enough for him to do what he wants with the beast before letting it go.

Personality: Shalin can be best described as a wild thrill-seeker. Though she is a kind soul and is civil around humanoids of all races, she can be hard for people to understand because her way of thinking often defies logic. She has a bit of a competitive spirit, but only puts it to destructive use when necessary. She doesn't like following rules unless she understands why they exist. Her strong affinity for the wild has led her to greatly enjoy riding virtually any kind of living creature suitable, and her planeswalker spark has only fueled that pastime more.
Good Traits: Shalin tries to be kind around everyone, even if she doesn't particularly get along with them. Though she picks her friends carefully, her bonds of friendship run deep. She will not be intentionally destructive unless she has a very good reason.
Bad Traits: Shalin is very impulsive, and this often gets her into trouble. Unless it's obviously malicious or destructive, she often does not consider the repercussions of her actions. She is easily distracted when not doing something she enjoys. For instance, her focus is razor-sharp when trying to stay balanced aboard a swerving feline, but she'll sometimes forget what someone said to her a few minutes ago.
Background: Formerly a member of the Nayan Druidic Circle in Alara, Shalin was exiled from her tribe when her love for animals turned into repeated violations of the Gargantuan Code, having treated the titanic beasts no different than other animals rather than the forces of nature she was expected to worship. Welcome nowhere in Alara, she left the plane to arrive at Grejasi of the Triumvirate Planes. Though the darker life there was a bit unsettling, she quickly made her home on the outer limits of one of the moderate-sized cities of the plane, running a rearing and training business featuring a variety of tamed creatures. She took great pride in handling creatures no other trainers in the area were willing to take on.
Appearance: A young, short girl, Shalin typically wears a fairly tight, solid green outfit that has been patched several times, each a memory of a riding accident. Each is a memory burned into the outfit due to her accidents being so few and far between. She takes pride in her long hair blowing almost perfectly parallel to the ground when traveling at a high speed. Blessed with a soft, charming facial expression, she takes full advantage of it in the business and while on expeditions to seek out unique creatures.

Having returned with the white-striped beast, Raedyn let some more students of the academy get a close look at it before taking it downstairs to his lab, extracting many DNA samples from it for analysis as well as performing a full biological and physiological documentation. He captured several images of the rare baloth from various angles, as well. When his work was finished, he guided the beast well outside the Academy and released the leash, thanking it for its cooperation and setting it free.
Afterward, Raedyn went downstairs again, summoning his drake familiar in an attempt to make augments to it. Remembering the work he had done for an elf girl months back, he worked to make a similar adaptation for his drake. He sought to augment his drake with insectile wings over batlike wings, and a spearlike poison barb on its tail. If successful, it would greatly improve its mobility...but it would take time for the adaptation to develop.

Raedyn
The mana lights all the way in the corner intrigued Raedyn quite a bit. The white one didn't suit his studies well at all, but the others caught his interest. He picked up a set of them except the white one. They would look perfect hanging over his lab, turned on and off when necessary. Before long, he would be able to create the perfect creature for any situation.
After his purchase, he went back down to his lab to install them, then checked the results of the tests he did with the white-striped baloth--what kind of traits he could implant into it. Finally, he checked back in with the Academy staff he regularly sees, trying to get a feel for what was going on in the next several days. Maybe he'd find an excuse to give his new insectoid drake a field test.

At present, Raedyn determined he did not have the resources on hand to fulfill the order. He told the others in the lab that he wanted to fulfill the order later. For now, he left the lab and academy. He summoned his insectile drake far away from town to minimize the sonic disturbance it would make. He put on some earmuffs to dilute the sound, then swung himself aboard the drake. His skin tingling as the drake's rapidly-vibrating wings helped it achieve liftoff, he used a resource-gathering trip as an excuse to take the giant, buzzing creature for a field test. Who knows? Maybe something else amazing would catch his eye.

Upon seeing the white-furred rabbit, Raedyn realized just what kind of creature it was. Though not as rare as the white-striped baloth, the Sagini had an interesting trait that would prove useful in fulfilling his current order. These seemingly docile creatures had the ability to rapidly propagate, and even temporarily create fully-functioning clones of themselves. He didn't need the rabbit alive--just in good enough condition to extract genetic material from it. He backed his drake up, flew high above its quarry, then had it swoop in for a devastating sting from its newly-implanted tail barb.

As for her clothing... while the armor was quaint, it wasn't exactly the best of things for her, she noted. Comfort and function, as they molded themselves into the robes, coat, bindings, and small gadgets that used to outfit her, before... all this happened, except, it was more advanced, and the gauntlet won't change, a jewelry then. Lastly the eyes... while not quite being able to put them away, she could at least dull them, she decided, just say it was an experiment gone awry or something.
With that over, she opens the door and walks over to the market place. Hopefully, nothing surprising would happen.

I have been seeing people kinda neglect their familiars for the most part besides Raedyn but the more powerful you become the more powerful and strong your familiars become to the point where you might even have Familiar arcs and missions or whatever but back to the main point I think I shall being the Familiars of Avatars when they reach level 4 unless you are like Raedyn and a Biomancer or UG kinda guy. Shalin and her cat turned around to face the group. "I wasn't planning on it, but if everyone wants to ride, I can arrange it. I just prefer riding animals over walking if I have to travel far." Even if they didn't want to ride, having a titan of Naya around would make for a good incentive for the wild critters to stay away from them. She stepped back, drew a large summoning circle far away from the building the Alarans were in, and drew a panorama of her home on it, allowing a titan of the jungle to walk through the AEther.
