Wasteland Ghoul3B
Creature - Zombie Radioactive - When Wasteland Ghoul enters the battlefield, put a -1/-1 counter on all creatures without the Radioactive keyword.
4/3
Awesome card, but this card is a great example of what should be a keyword. These psuedo keywords don't have any bearing on the effect they describe, ie. Metalcraft works the same with or without the word in front of it. It just provides the player base an easy way to reference it and creates a mental shortcut in the brain to make processing items easier. Radioactive is a keyword, since it references itself.
Radioactive (When this enters the battlefield, put a -1/-1 counter on all creatures without Radioactive.)
Again, awesome design as long as the effect is included in a set that can manipulate or care about -1/-1 counters. Otherwise the effect itself is pretty dang strong haha.
EDIT: Also, I'm curious. I never see any of the other DCC posters have formatting errors when they quote the OP. Is this only happening to me? If not, how are you guys fixing it? When I edit out the mistakes, it only makes it worse after I save the changes because it adds in extra quotes and removes the centering from certain elements in the OP. Its very frustrating...
Sorry about that Subbak. I was in a hurry and didn't read the other submissions. Originally it was a more expensive "draw a card" spell but I changed it because it just had to be so expensive to be fair.

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.

Multi-quote everything, click "Post Reply", select everything in the editor box and copy it. Cancel back and post a new thread, and paste into it. The only thing that should come uncentered when you edit out the quote tags around the main post is the first line, and that's easily fixed.
That's how I've been doing it, anyway. What browser are you using?

That's what I've been doing, and it looks fine when it is in the posting part. BUt when I press submit, everything jacks up and when I try and edit out the messups, it just makes it even worse. Ie. adding extra black spaces everywhere, breaking quotes into 2 pieces, uncentering things. It makes absolutely no sense. The browser I'm using is Internet Explorer.
This is probably your problem; it sounds like whatever function's responsible for making sure formatting is retained during copy-and-paste is misbehaving in whichever version of IE you're using.
Solution: before copying out of the reply, change editor modes (the button in the top right corner of the editor, next to the increase/decrease size of editor buttons) and copy it from the version that just shows tags in place of actually looking nice. This should avoid whatever's going wrong in the Javascript.
EDIT: I'm heading out to do errands. I won't be back for another couple of hours. Someone post the thread for today before I get back, please.

Glad you liked the keyword! Too bad not many others seemed to
I had actually been thinking that instead of a keyword that ability should have been tied to creature type. It would have been better if the creature was a Zombie Mutant and put counters on non-Mutant creatures. Very similar result, but it interacts with a few more cards that naturally have the Mutant type or can manipulate creature types (and gives you more flexibility with different kinds of "radioactive" abilities).

Luminum, thanks for the critiques! I'll take that into consideration next time I think up some keywords.
Since apparently nobody else wants to post the thread, tomorrow's thread will probably go up sometime around noon. Yes, that means we're losing six hours on today's entries. Consider yourselves warned, and next time when I ask someone to post the thread while I'm out, please do it so the thread doesn't wait until it's already almost tomorrow on the East Coast to go up.
Solesticio, I just think most people would be willing to pay 1 and 2 life to counter a spell. I'm always leery of putting in "Counter unless pay 1" because it's much more rare that they don't have 1 mana open, as opposed to 3 with the leak.
I think you missed my point. No matter how you push it, Mana Leak-like counterspells aren't played to have their price paid. If you take one of these and add a life payment, then you don't make the card much more useful as a counterspell, but you add an option of using the card as a very bad burn spell (still out of :symu:'s color pie).
I think I'd either have it all mana payment or all life payment (ala (U/P)(U/P)). That would have an interesting place in counter burn, acting as a dual purpose card. Yes, you get the "worst" option since its up to your opponent how he/she wants to pay it. The "worse" option is still good for you though.
The idea was to not allow players to be able to pay without any mana. That way people would almost always get it through. That's the reason I said maybe 2U/P would be better. It's a Rune Snag / Miscalculation with a bonus (2 life probably).

Counter target spell unless its controller has you add two mana in any combination of colors to your mana pool. (You choose the combination of colors.)
The reasons I didn't vote for it amounted to it being a card that doesn't appeal to my play style, plus I felt other cards were more deserving of my vote.
Lol.
