I seem to have fallen out of it. Time to make a list of cards for next month. Congratulations to whoever wins. It's been a good fight, and hey, maybe I'll get my Final Wish tomorrow. Get it? Because that's my submission's name?
I don't know. I want to continue doing the skeleton for this set, but, it's SO DIFFICULT to make a common or uncommon, not giving the audience total context (unless they're paying attention each day of the month and remembering this ****), and still try and get votes.
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
Okay, folks, officially opening submissions for new DCC banner ideas and/or becoming the backup organizer. I should have opened this yesterday, but meh, I forgot.

Enraged Herd1RG
Creature - Beast (U)
First strike, savage. (If combat damage dealt by this creature would be divided among two or more creatures blocking or being blocked by it, it deals damage equal to its power to each of those creatures instead.)
3/2
savage is quite fascinating, reminds a bit of rampage of course, but it's a lovely idea.
Socrates: I loved the name and concept of your card, but the card itself is a rather weak, conditional card that would likely see very few play. With that name I'd have made a split card:
Wear3WW
Instant
Put an equipment card from your hand onto the battlefield attached to a creature you control.
////// TearR
Instant
Destroy all equipment cards attached to target creature.
Atrius: Awesome flavour, but since black has no way to deal with artifacts, that card basically shuts down a whole archetype.
Altaurus: I liked your card until I realized it was so much worse than Sakura-Tribe Elder that the +1/+1 wasn't compensation enough.

Just plays differently. You can do it at instant speed with any spell/fetchland that puts a land into play. You can also attack first then play land second upkeep. Harder to make good, but higher power cap if utilized correctly.
Both your card (Demonic Possession) and Maokun's card (Left to Rot) are cool cards that should see print one day. They are extremely realistic. But Lanxal's board sweep + llhurgoyf and Vensers red Gifts Ungiven on a stick tickled me in just the right way.

What horrible wording on my part today. Bleh. Carry on.
Yeah, it seems to be a means for forcing a draw as soon as something deals damage as worded. (EDIT: well, assuming someone has an indestructible creature.)
Really, though, the only fix is making it a replacement effect. The apparent alternative of "Whenever another source deals damage to a creature, ~ deals that much damage to each other creature that shares a creature type with it." still blows up your game in multiples.
Bad wording but cool enough card for me to vote for it.
I also wanted to vote for Rhitaniel's but it needed not to be Blue (IMHO.) Also, I believe it needs a way to signal the lands he's changing such as (T: Put an illusion counter on target land. Lands with illusion counters on them are mountains. When ~ leaves the battlefield, temove all illusion counters from all lands)
And philosophile's card would be really cool as an instant.

Well, Dream Thrush, Reef Shaman, Sea Snidd, Tideshaper Mystic, and Grixis Illusionist all lead me to believe that the card would be more blue than red, if anything. Red would rather blow the land up, actually. In fact, it needs to hit nonbasics and turn them into mountains specifically to feel red at all. As for the counter part, I thought about it, but it would have messed with the elegance of the card. In all honesty, I think it's easy enough to keep track of that kind of information, and the lack of elegance on one side would have hurt more than the potential memory issue on the other.
@Venser: Enchant permanent named Oblivion Ring? Really?
@Whitemage57: I would have voted for you, but your card was a bit too close to artifact and enchantment removal for black for my tastes.

You win target thread. If you aren't Atrius, Atrius wins that thread instead.
"Wait, can you actually win a thread?" - Atrius.
I think August will be my "T" month.
It's been really fun dueling you guys. Onwards to August!

as long as peeps be doing themes, i might do multi-color and/or seven words or less...
Edit: Just saw it on the spoiled RtR card. It's a neat mechanic. But, not every reads the spoilers, so I suggestion remains.
