Hello, I'm new here and have a question. I would like to submit a card, only I can't find this multiquote button. I don't have access to a computer, my only internet is my phone, maybe that is a problem? Anyway, would it be alright to post a card without this? Any help would be appreciated, I've got a pretty good idea for a card. Thanks!

You don't need to use the multiquote button to submit a card. Just type your card into the "Reply to this Topic" area at the bottom of the DCC thread for the day and hit "post reply", just like you did to post your question here. I highly advise that you look at the format of the cards in other people's posts and do your best to follow that formatting. Good luck. I look forward to seeing your card. Feel free to post here if you have any more questions.

@ Flatline on Infinity Sphinx: I was mostly just worried about the combo with itself, because the cycle is only one blue mana. Not only is it pretty strong with itself, an extra draw each turn for 1U essentially, but it also has strong and cheap synergy with any cards that take advantage of cycling, on a fairly big flying beater in the best color to protect it.
I was also somewhat worried by the fact that it might not have enough big downside with only a U cycling cost. It not only puts itself into the GY really good for recursion, which could potentially allow silly cycling stuff, but you can basically always ditch it for a card if you have to, making it kind of low risk. I felt like either the cycling or recursion effect should have cost slightly more, probably the cycling cost, and then maybe bring its actual mana cost down by 1 or U? Make it a bit more consistant to get out but lower the top end power.
I should note that I'm not the biggest MTG player here so my balance thoughts are probably not the best.

Thanks for the feedback Ruki. Again, I think that if you're just continuously cycling Infinity Sphinx to itself, it is strictly worse than Sphinx of Magosi. I think its true power lies with cards like Wild Mongrel.
Are humorous cards not allowed, or did I just get my 4/27 entry in too late last night?
Humorous cards are allowed. I'm sorry your card didn't make it into yesterday's thread. As you said, it came in just moments too late. The technical cut off time for entries is 10:00 PM EST, although I usually put the thread up an hour or so after that, and entries will make it into the next day's thread as long as they're posted at the time I copy people's posts for the next thread. I think you posted your card while I was putting up today's thread, so it came in during the 10 minute window in which I am putting up the next day's thread. If you want to be safe, get your card in by 10 PM.

@ Flatline: Just for one last thing, one reason cycling itself is way better than Sphinx of Magosi (IMO) is that you can always just cycle it for a card if you don't get the combo going, need to smooth out early or so on. Sphinx of Magosi has a good chance of being a dead card in your hand with its 6 CMC and no way to use it except playing it, but you can always just ditch Infinity Sphinx for a card at the very low price of U, so it takes away one of the notable downsides of Sphinx of Magosi, which is putting a 6 CMC card in your deck that won't necessarily win when dropped and can be a very dead card. A U cycle card is always useful as a filter for very cheap. Reliability can be a pretty big thing for a card's power level.
And then it can do the cheaper cycle draw AND combo with stuff like Wild Mongrel, as well.
The name of the card kept changing as the design went through a few iterations. At this point, I don't even remember whether the hellhound is supposed to be be disloyal or anxious. Maybe he has multiple personality disorder, and it's both.
Does the card we post today on April 30 become the first card scored for May?
No. The cards posted today will count for April. Tomorrow (May 1st) will be the first day to post a card for May.

Stolen ValorXUU
Sorcery (R)
Remove X experience counters from target opponent. Exile Stolen Valor.
Overload XXUU (You may cast this spell for its overload cost. If you do, change its text by replacing all instances of "target" with "each.")
Experience counters can sometimes be oppressive. This is a narrow answer as its otherwise useless primarily meant for commander/EDH, likely it woukd be in a precon commander deck not a standard legal set. It is hard to abuse as it exiles itself which also adds a tension of using it now or later. Obviously not for every deck but im sure there are some who have seen the dark side of experience counters and see a use for this.
This is a really cool design
It's not required but do you think gaining those counters for yourself could be possible? Or maybe "Gain an experience counter for each player that lost an exp counter this way?"
Votes: Rudyard, Sagharri
Honorable Mention: Roccovsky (This is a pretty cool card, but something feels off, I can't fully place my finger on it. Might be the lopsided mana.),
Thanks for the comments. The reason I formatted the mana symbols this way, with the blue symbol first, was to emphasize that this is primarily a blue card with an optional payoff for splashing red. I don't remember any other hybrid cards with a regular mana symbol in the cost that were only two colors, so I took artistic license with this. The hybrid card frame was chosen for the same reason -- It's still just 2 colors, unlike cards like trace of abundance.
It's nice to be back.
@Flatline: in the last article, MaRo said it was done like this because a lot of the beginner players didn't realize that cycling involves discarding, so they'd rather spell it out than making people feel bad for not rtfc.
Thanks for the response StonerOfKruphix. I find WotC's attempt at clarity to be confusing. I can't wait to argue with somebody about whether or not cycling triggers Liliana's Caress. I can hear it now, "But it doesn't say whenever an opponent cycles or discards a card". "Why would Wizards have written cycle or discard a card on Drake Haven if the two were the same thing?"

(U/R)(U/R)U looks better than U(U/R)(U/R) in my Opinion. my reasoning is because putting the hybrid first becaise it is umm more "affordable". Easier to fulfill, which I think is why we state colorless first, then flexible then unflexible.

MtG is where you can hate white players or black players, and still not be racist.
That definitely makes sense. It might have been smarter to err on the side of precedence. If I end up liking it enough to include in a custom set at some point, I'll probably order the cost that way after all.
This is a really cool design
It's not required but do you think gaining those counters for yourself could be possible? Or maybe "Gain an experience counter for each player that lost an exp counter this way?"
that design could prolly be done but i think youd have to up the cost a bit. Plus i didnt want to make it too powerful. Like i said its a narrow answer pretty much only for a commander meta with an oppressive experience counter commander. I didnt want to nerf the effectiveness or uniqueness of experience counters so i just used this design.
Forestguy: I really like the Ritual mechanic. "Desolation" has historically involved mass permanent destruction, and this would have gotten my vote if it had a similar ETB ability to Desolation Giant. SnowBlack1021: Great effect, but too low-costed IMO. Groovelord: 1UUW might have worked for me, but I don't like monowhite getting extra turns. atogstorm: Great flavor and a fun, breakable effect. A bit too many moving parts for my taste, though. entombedhydra: The Johnny in me is chomping at the bit to brew around this. The Timmy in me thinks it'd be too much effort for too little payoff. StonerofKruphix*: You had me at "doesn't benefit draw-go decks." All bias aside, fantastic design. Rudyard*: I'm all-in on this card. A bomb in limited, and constructed viable in at LEAST any weenie strategy.
Skulk U: Switch Skulking Snapper's power and toughness until end of turn.
1/3
I thought P/T switching and skulk worked elegantly together. Originall i wanted the P/T switching to be a triggered ability but that would trigger on attack and the value for skulk would 3 not 1. By making it an activated ability a player declares attack, trigger skulk, activates P/T switch, clear and elegant.
Wanted to make him a 1/4 but that seems to swingy, making him 4 damage unblockable if they dont have 1 power creature. So i settled for 1/3, which made a 3 mana cost reasonable. Had he been capable of 4 damage he likely would have been 2UU or 4U.
I like your card, but I don't think there's any reason Skulking Snapper needs to be a rare (see Latch Seeker). I made the exact same card when skulk was first spoiled and had it at common. In retrospect, it probably should have been an UC. Here's my version just for fun....
Looming Presence
Creature — Spirit (C)
Skulk
