Welcome to The All-New DCC discussion thread! If you would like to play in the contest, please post your entry in the official thread for the day.
How does this card-making game work? It's simple! Every day that you want to enter, you just post a card and vote for cards from two other people in the poll. You can play in as many or as few days as you want in any month. (The image above isn't some kind of restriction on what cards you can enter on any given day of the week. You can post any card, any day.)
Whenever your card receives a vote in the poll, you receive one point for the month. If your card ends up with the most votes for that day, you will receive two additional points for the month - unless there's a tie, in which case each person who tied receives one additional point instead.
At the end of each month, the person with the most points on the scoreboard wins that month, and the top 8 (and people tied for 8th) get points towards the CCC&G Pro Tour. Then the scoreboard is cleared for the next month, and it starts all over again.
This thread is for discussion of the DCC from March 2012 onward. Please only place entries in the official thread for the day and leave comments about the contest (and other people's entries) here. Thanks.

Rules

Repeated disqualification is grounds for warnings and/or infractions for not following the game rules, so please don't do it.
If you wish to post a render, please use the hyperlink option when posting your card and make the card-name the image link. Renders are usually large enough to clog up the list, so submit a text-formed card and (optionally) a link in the name to the render.

Not knowing I didn't want to guess. I'll take care of that in the future...
Hey, you're not the only one who's had that problem (in the disaster that was January, it happened multiple times, despite people mentioning that there was supposed to be a one-day limit on it a couple of times).
So I figured I'd get it out in the open early, because I don't think anyone wants a repeat of January.
I can totally accept that the card isn't everyone's cup of tea. I've chosen not to vote for someone's card over another for fairly small reasons. I'm not upset or anything, this is just a silly game after all. But still, I'm a bit surprised. I guess I'll have to kick things up a notch.

Well, obviously in control kinda sucks. And then, non-lands would be too good. But if you think in combo-decks (red-rituals), I see this being played.
In a game where a bunch of different people with a bunch of different interests vote, I've found making a card that appeals to the masses works the best
Can we add a note in the OP that says: "Post in the discussion thread if you are about to put the thread up" So that way people aren't simultaneously doing it. I know it would make me more comfortable posting the thread that way.
A small note to whoever posts tomorrow's thread: There seems to be a large amount of extraneous whitespace stretching the initial post out at this point; I'm not entirely sure why it's working its way in, but it'd be nice if those extra blank lines would quietly exit stage right.
I think so, I don't think there's a way to alter a poll once it's been made. Since no one's posted any new submissions it shouldn't be a big deal to just do it over.
