The scoring is not set in stone, so anybody that wants to try a different system is welcome to. As I mentioned before, peer review and a story-based progression are what I am looking for from the CCL.
So what Antny is suggesting is that the hosts will toll up the scores under the current system (3 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd, +1 for Top 3, +1 for critiques) and then if Larry is the highest of 7 players on his team, he gets 7 points? That seems like a reasonable thing to try.

BUT. BUT. MY SPREADSHEET.
CCL GODS, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME.
Edit: Apparently, the forums ate the spreadsheet during the move.
I suggest we will decide that the highest will always get a set number of points (say, 10), so that we would not go back to a situation where winning the first round is worth more than winning any subsequent round.
You know what, I will take a shot at hosting May with my scoring and see how it works out. We can consider it a trial. Assuming no one else wants to host I'll get a plan together and a sign up thread up in the next 24 hours.
Yeah, thanks Balefire, I appreciate you having set that up for us.
10 sounds reasonable I suppose, I don't think we have had 11 man teams in a long time.
Thanks Antny and Martha. Let me know if you guys need any support.
10 will do as an arbitrary figure. If I get more than 40 (unlikely) I'll change. I don't think matters what number I use as long it's greater or equal the number of entries.
I like the Kinslayer submission but just want to point out that don't you instantly deck yourself if a changeling kills another changeling while equipped with this?
@Rithaniel: When the "sign ups" are also Round 1, those get judged. Sign up rounds that end before the month starts are the ones that arean't judged, and are usually called Round 0, if a round number is assigned.

Okie dokie. Well, I was thinking it was just a sign-up thread, so, I failed to judge (or put any real effort into my design).
So I've compiled round 1 scores with the new method. Funnily enough I still used a spreadsheet but that's just my style. I think this is probably managable without a calculator and I may try next round to test. For time being here's the compiled score:
You know, I would have swore that something like my entry would have already been made. But not so. I basically started with the flavor text and worked backwards, and considering that such a straightforward idea hasn't been done yet, why not do it? Seems to fit.
Not sure if it should cost more, though. I used Hallowed Burial as a barometer.
I think I'll change the title of this thread. Hopefully, it'll attract someone.

You have 1 land, opponent has 4, you cast it and you get to look for 3 Plains since opponent has 3 more lands then you.
Any ideas?
