I fixed it for you. This must have happened because of an issue with the forum software. If you had initially made your post and then edited it shortly after posting, then no matter how long down the line you edit, the post won't display the new content.
There's a way to fix this, which is to add something completely new to the post (I suggest the word "placeholder" at the bottom of the text), wait a while, and then edit it out. This will cause the post to display the correct, edited text.
In the future, never edit a post while the posting time still displays "a moment ago."

Tomorrow is April 1st, is there anyone hosting April? Maybe I've missed it. I would prefer somebody else hosting as I've already hosted February just last month, and I also have no ideas for challenges at this moment, but if it comes to that, rather than having no contest I'll come up with something.

Does the round one card have to have flavor ties to esper or alara? It is implied in the intro, but never actually stated in the challenge or subchallanges.
Does the round one card have to have flavor ties to esper or alara? It is implied in the intro, but never actually stated in the challenge or subchallanges.
Not in the least.
The intro is always just fluff. Only the wording of the challenges matters.
Subchallenge 1 - Your card's color identity is not white.
Does this mean that the color identity can't be monowhite but can still contain white, or that it can't contain white at all? In other words, would a card with a Boros, Jeskai, or even five-colored color identity pass this subchallenge?
Then a couple of typos/editorial mistakes or whatever you want to call them. Things my innately-detail-focused eyes have immediately noticed but that have no real importance:
- The intro must be wrong. It's the same than last round, the one about Titans.
- Two times in the main challenge text, you're writing "loosing the game" with two "o"'s. That's supposed to be "losing the game" with a single "o". The verbs to lose and to loose have different meanings.

Thanks for the catch. I made the changes needed. As for sub challenge 1, I just changed it to "Your card has no white mana symbols on it." My idea was just that the card isn't white in any way.
I'd love to assist, but it's been five years or so since I last judged (or even looked in on any of the goings-on of CCC&G), and the Rubric is a little different than I recall. Provided I don't go back into hibernation, I will volunteer to judge for May. And, barring catastrophe, I'll offer to host for June.

My EDH Decks:
Kruphix, God of Value and Eldrazi. GU Gahiji: Wider is better. (Now with 40% more tokens!) RGW Daxos brought some frienchantments! WB Kynaios and Tiro: Four strong arms to hug you better. RGWU Saskia: You better not tell her that pointing is rude. BRGW Sidisi the Zombeesi, the Unmilled, Breaker of Graves, Mother of Zambambos. (Zombie tribal)BGU Omnath, The Angriest Elemental Ever & His Spike-Handed Buddies.RG (Retired but forever in my heart)
Thanks @StonerOfKruphix for appreciating my design
I just wanted to point out that having a protection spell in a permanent form can actually be better than the same effect on an Instant. You can for example play your 4-drop on turn 4 and not worry about removal. It's not like your opponent can do anything about the Powerbead once it's on the field.
Yes, it potentially could be better, but the crux is the same: a card like that is very situational, and the fact that you can't crack it on your own (unless, of course, you want to waste a spell) means that there will be some games where it's a dead card. Another thing that puts me off it a little is the fact that your opponents can play around it, so they can save their removal spells in case they want to remove something down the line.
All in all, it's a situational card, and with time I've learned that there's no point in discussing how exactly good situational cards are, as everyone has their own stories of subpar cards doing a lot of work, because MTG offers so many scenarios that there will always be one where a situational card really shines.
Still, it was a nice design.

Thank you for the offer, but I have already contacted the other judges and they've both told me they're working on it. The first round is always the one that's more likely to experience delays because of the high number of participants.
Anyways, the results should be up soon.

RaikouRider, bravelion83: This is speculation on my part, but looking at cards and rules, I think Laboratory Maniac and new Jace wording don't correspond to what should be used on your cards, and it should be "attempting to draw" as in 704.5b. Notice that on Maniac the actual draw never happens, as there's replacement effect, so you never draw or even attempt to draw nonexisting card.
I agree, and I had already noticed while designing the card. I checked the CR back then, so I had known that 704.5b uses the words "attempt to draw a card". In fact, as you might have noticed, the first version of my card used the word "attempting" too in the activated ability (the static one is still a replacement effect by the way). Then I went to recheck Laboratory Maniac and I saw that its effect is actually worded slightly differently than the CR, without using the word "attempt", so I edited the card to make the wording as close to the Maniac as possible. That's to say that I was completely aware of this point beforehand and I willing chose to use the wording without "attempt". Maybe it wasn't the right choice, but it was a totally intentional one. I also found problems in wording because the activated ability is completely new and there is no real precedent for it yet in real Magic, so I had to take my best guess for the wording. As Uniqueness is by far my weakest point, both as a judge and as a designer, for once I tried to make the most original card I could, and doing that often involves using abilities and wordings that don't exist yet, so again, you just have to take your best guess. That's what happened with my own card.

(I have a very big one that I'm working on right now but that's private for now, and I don't know if I will ever actually publish it, and I also have ideas for multiple future ones, including one where I'm going to reprise Jeff.)
The intro is always just fluff. Only the wording of the challenges matters.

First, the most important and the only one I actually need a response to:

I just wanted to point out that having a protection spell in a permanent form can actually be better than the same effect on an Instant. You can for example play your 4-drop on turn 4 and not worry about removal. It's not like your opponent can do anything about the Powerbead once it's on the field.
All in all, it's a situational card, and with time I've learned that there's no point in discussing how exactly good situational cards are, as everyone has their own stories of subpar cards doing a lot of work, because MTG offers so many scenarios that there will always be one where a situational card really shines.
Still, it was a nice design.

Do you mean like the final game of the FNM draft where my oh so powerful Skull Rend hit my friend's Hypersonic Dragon and Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius when he had 3 other junky cards in hand? lol
BTW I've completed the Powerbead cycle
Anyways, the results should be up soon.
