Im jsut gonna say ir share my thought process on how my card arrived in final form
Midrange Creature, my first thought was a Mono black Lifelink version of Siege Rhino.
Black Rhino1BBB
Creature - Rhino (R)
Liflink
Drain 3
4/5
Me: Needs to be common
Me: 4/5 to 3/4
Me: Needs to be two colored
Me: I dont wanna give up lifelink. (it for me is the best midrange keyword)
Me: now 2WB, but drain is not feel like white.
Me: Everybody gains life?
Me: Wouldnt that be too much life for you? What if it loses us life.
Me: now reverse drain for 3.
Me: its so painful for common, hard decisions and great risks are not common material.
Me: Reverse drain is now 2. Power is now 2/4 to match drain.
Me: Cool it has 2 power because it has two noncolor and colored in mana cost, but has 4 cmc. 2/4 lol.
Me: 2/4 does not feel like a rhino anymore.
Me: its now a beefy Bloodhinter Bat.
Me: Added flying
Reverse Drain Bat2WB
Creature - Bat
Flying (reminder)
Lifelink (reminder)
When enters the battlefield, target opponent gains 2 life and you lose 2 life.
2/4
Me: Bats giving life is weird
Me: Now a "be careful with deals or what you ask for" spirit. He gives you 2 life but will lifelink it back later.
Me: Cant add flavor, reminder text takes too much space.
Me: Cant remove reminder text from common, bravrlion be mad.
Me: looks nicer to me as a "rulebook card".
Me: Reverse drain is just not common. Too much thinking.
Me: ETBs and two keywords also a bit complex.
Me: fam just remove etb already.
Me: but it will now be a a boring flying lifelink.
Me: I think we should add AnOtHeR keyword, so it will be a very very "Rulebook card".
Me: Flying is white blue, lifelink is white black. Esper?
Me: Blue black has terrible keywords.
Me: you know what i want a vigilant lifelinker, so i can lifelibk by attacking and lifelink by defending.
Me: Totally
Me: Green is not fly though, and vigilance is green white.
Me: Dropped flying. Now has deathtouch cause its bg
Me: cool shared keywords.
Me: now 2/3 so it can be burned by red spells or killed by 3power.
Me: 2/2?
Me: dont want it to trade with a random bear or 2/1.
Me: now 2GWB, 2/3 trikeyword not at 4cmc common.
Me: hey look the cool mana cost is p/t is back. 2 power because 2 and 3 toughness because GWB.
Me: looks really clean with 3 reminder texts lol.
Me: we're gonna lose flavor points for this.
I added a rendered image, not because i wanted more flavor points or something. I just wanted to show how neat three keyword reminders are on a card without flavor text.
Thanks for sharing my madness.
Me: Cant remove reminder text from common, bravrlion be mad.
Well, me getting mad should not be the reason you do or don't do something in your custom card designs!
And for the record, you absolutely can leave out reminder text for evergreen keywords, even at common. I would even say you should. All the keywords you used are evergreen. The "always needs reminder text unless mythic and no room" rule only applies to non-evergreen keywords, aka "block mechanics" (even if blocks don't technically exist anymore), and anyway I didn't invent it, R&D did and Maro told us. I could probably find official sources but now I don't have the time.
Actually, I understood you were just joking and I actually laughed as I read that line. I also appreciate the irony of including a typo in my username. I would deduct half a point in Quality for that.
And thanks to you for sharing your madness. I (and others too, I know that for sure) always like to read the thought process behind a card. Also thanks for taking me in such high authority that you think about what I'd say when designing your cards. I don't deserve it. I'm just a veteran player by now with the passion of custom card design who likes to do things well and see others also do it well. Nothing more. I'm also quite loquacious as you can probably tell, in real life too.

Well, I kind of expected to go out this round. My card wasn't that inspired and I hoped to come up with something better before the deadline but I didn't. Anyway, now that I'm out for October, I'm claiming November in advance. As host, I mean. I'm already halfway with writing the challenges.

Just waiting on egoblinsw's judgments to start round 3.
Any progress on this?
No. I have contacted egoblinsw, to no response. If they do not judge or at least put in a placeholder by tonight they're out as a judge and I'll take over.
As there are only a few days left until November, the judge signup thread for the November MCC is up.

Indeed, Cardz5000 should get full points in that category.
My own judgments will have to wait until tomorrow as I'm busy with both mod and other duties, but rest assured the final round will come quickly after that. My apologies.

None of those count except Divinity of Pride. The minimum bound of the pump has to be +4/+4 (meaning the instants all don't count as they can sometimes give +2/+2) and exactly one specific creature has to be affected at a time (so Thriss, Nantuko Primus would count, and so would Batterskull, as would Homicidal Seclusion if it gave +4/+4 instead of +3/+1).
But yes, as Divinity implies, the creature in question can be the creature itself if you designed a creature card.
(2,5/3) Quality: Nice, the em dash. You don't see that often with custom cards. You'd need that in the type line too though. That doesn't really qualify as flaw. As the trigger condition here was never before used on a printed card I go with my gut feeling and say it reads acceptable. Besides that, "until end of turn" is only needed once here at the end, e.g. Abandon Reason.
Battlegate Mimic and company (Oracle Text) have the more applicable formatting (I assume it has something to do with setting base power and toughness and layers, but I don't actually know)

The "can" and "minimum" in this challenge are kind of throwing me off.
Does Groundswell meet the challenge?
Gift of Growth?
Vines of Vastwood?
Divinity of Pride?
Huatli, Dinosaur Knight?
Additionally is it a minimum of one creature? or does it specifically have to only grow a single creature and no others?
But yes, as Divinity implies, the creature in question can be the creature itself if you designed a creature card.
