"Here only miracles. Here, only the rising of spirit. And yes, love if it was pertinent (which it was so often); and sometimes bloodletting. But never the prosaic, never the trivial. Here the man who brought the strangest tale was the most welcome. Here every excess was celebrated if it brought visions, and every vision analyzed for the hints it held to the nature of the Everlasting." - Clive Barker's Imajica

Morph 1(2/U)(2/U)

Narrow, but a reasonably different one in that it actually takes advantage of the fact that it can interrupt Split Second. (Sure, it doesn't come up much, but still.)

Good design should catch out all loopholes. 1/5 Flavor: At least the flavor text is accurate, but nothing here is really Magic-styled. 0.5/3 Accuracy: No complaints. 2/2 TOTAL: 8.5/15

IDEAS: The MEGIDDO IS JUDGE SUBGAME
- A second contest RUN WITHIN THIS THREAD
- Same game, but I won't support it in any way. < even I have my limits.
- ALL POSTS re: the subgame must be formatted exactly as follows:
Fill in the blank with "ENTRY, JUDGING, CHALLENGE, or QUESTION. Body of spoiler will be that thing. Entry, judging, challenge, comment, etc.
This way we don't get confused.
- You would be able to enter both at once, of course.
The next challenge: Think of a place you visited that made a big impression on you (the Great Wall, the Grand Canyon, that bathroom in Las Vegas when you were 15, whatever). Make a card inspired by it. (The card can still be based in the "Magic world" -- you don't have to use any real-world names. Just use it for inspiration.) Be sure you note which place you were inspired by, though.

Easy for me, I designed a whole set based on the Burning Man Festival, with sharing and bartering being major themes. Here is one card from that:
Sorn Neveid, Elvish Trader3G
Legendary Creature - Elf Rogue
You can’t cast more than one creature spell each turn.
Creature cards in your hand have barter green. (Instead of paying their mana cost, you may have target opponent gain control of a green permanent you control)

Semblance of the Civic GuardRWU
Legendary Enchantment
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a 1/1 red, white, and blue Citizen Soldier creature token onto the battlefield. If you control no creatures, put three of those tokens onto the battlefield instead. RWU, Tap three untapped creatures with total power X you control: Return target attacking creature with converted mana cost X or less to its owner's hand. That creature deals damage equal to its power to its controller.
This would be the Rijksmuseum, specifically the room containing Rembrandt's Night Watch.
Observatory
Land-Mountain
(Tap: add R to your mana pool.)
When ~ becomes tapped, put two depletion counters on it and scry 3.
~ does not untap if it has a depletion counter on it.
At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a depletion counter from ~.
Inspired by my trip to MDM observatory in Arizona.
