"Here only miracles. Here, only the rising of spirit. And yes, love if it was pertinent (which it was so often); and sometimes bloodletting. But never the prosaic, never the trivial. Here the man who brought the strangest tale was the most welcome. Here every excess was celebrated if it brought visions, and every vision analyzed for the hints it held to the nature of the Everlasting." - Clive Barker's Imajica
It's a race that lives in a world where everything can interact with everything else. A world of aseptic walls, towering over narrow, utilitarian walkways is where they live. The walls are glossy white, with vibrant green tube-lights. Everything about their society is about using what's close by to achieve their immediate goals, without any waste or untidiness and achieving the utmost efficiency.
NAME1
Creature - Something
Variation (Variation conditions only last until end of turn).
If ~'s variation condition is met, put a +1/+1 counter on ~. 1: ~'s variation becomes "If a spell was countered this turn". 2: ~'s variation becomes "1".
1/1
Name1
Instant
Target creatures variation condition becomes "If you have no cards in your hand" until end of turn.
Draw a card.
Cassowarriors are feathered people with prominent and colorful horned ridges on their heads. They are fairly muscular exotic turkey people. They can't fly and they hate being wet.
Stonecrest Commander1RW
Creature - Cassowarrior Warrior (R)
First strike T: Target creature you control fights target creature an opponent controls. Repeat this process until one of them dies.
3/2
Merlin's GlyphosU
Creature - Glyphos
Artifacts you control have "Your maximum hand size is increased by 1."
1/1
Glyphos are a dog-smart, ant-colony-behaved species of magical script. They can be trained to form runic spellwords (by carving themselves in rock or inking themselves onto parchment) and may serve many functions to the mage who owns some. Some use Glyphos as guard pets, some enjoy making them do tricks. Merlin's Glyphos is a breed that specializes in fetching memories.
Sifana are a white-red humanoid race. Their skin tone can be any of a variety of blues and greens, have no noses (they have gill-like orifices on their torso instead), and porcupine-like quills in place of hair. As far as personality, I'll let the sample cards do the talking.
Dispassioned Sifana1W
Creature - Sifana Monk (C)
Defender, lifelink. Only honor can curb a sifana's passions.
1/3
Dishonorable Sifana1R
Creature - Sifana Berserker (C)
First strike
Dishonorable Sifana attacks each turn if able. Only passion can break a sifana's honor.
3/1
Wise SifanaRW
Creature - Sifana Soldier (U)
First strike, lifelink, vigilance. Sifana define wisdom as the ability to balance passion and honor.
2/2
Race: Simic crab-people banished to Dominaria? Seems a little far fetched, especially since the Simic probably don't even know about Ravinca. 2/5 Card(s): I don't know what to make of this. It seems like it could be very good - especially in limited or with tokens - but it doesn't actually do anything on its own. Tentative 3/5 Total: 5/10
Brofaux - Xyborg / Various
Race: Magic-ified Earth is a neat idea, although it breaks Magic's fantasy feel into a billion tiny shards, which I am perfectly okay with.. "Like etherium but better!" is pretty silly. 3/5 Card(s): I'm going to assume PGLMCVIII gives your permanents pro. white, in which case I really like it, even though the end effect is more green than anything. Limited filler is filler. The line "African Child is black." seems simultaneously awfully un-PC and perfectly reasonable. Yosemite's first ability is lame++, but his second is hilarious. 4/10 Total: 7/10
NotoriousLynx - Pogs / Various
Race: Red-white, hyperintelligent, mechanically gifted furballs with sickeningly adorable pom-pom heads. These guys don't seem red at all (or that white, for that matter). 2/5
Card(s): Mirrodin with furballs, right down to the metalcraft. Contraptions were never a good idea. Broken needs some work, and the card it appears on is absolutely awful. 2/5 Total: 4/10
Stapler - Sangaur / Various
Race: tl;dr . . . Potato leeches. I like the flavour but I can't help but feel that these guys look a little silly. This seems like an interesting set to draft (although that is infinity% irrelevant). 4/10 Card(s): Spikes and Arcbounds were always cool, and I do love me some counter shenanigans. The mythic doesn't feel mythic. I like the devourer heaps but common might be pushing it. The Clotter is absolutely bonkers. Needs some polish. Name changing shenanigns are unappreciated at 11pm. 3/10 Total: 7/10
PanchoPonceN - Sheenies / Various
Race: You have invented Llorwyn elementals. Well done. 2/5 Card(s): Wrathborn Sheenie is pretty cool, but might be pushing it depending on the limited environment. Thief is silly and not very black. Evergrowing Sheenie is pure Timmy bait. Clash of Thoughts seems horrendously too good, but I want it to exist so I can run it in EDH. 4/5 Total: 6/10
MagicBrains - Somethings / Various
Race: There's something cool hiding in here. I'm sure of it. 1/5 Card(s): Wording nightmare, but nifty idea. Points for effort. 1/5 Total: 2/10
Race: Seems okay, I suppose? There's not a lot to comment on. 2/5 Card(s): So, the game ends in a draw because nothing will ever die (from lethal damage) while this is resolving. Nice. It's a nice idea, just badly executed. 3/5 Total: 5/10
Rudyard - Glyphos / Merlin's Glyphos
Race: You have invented Unknown. Adorable. 5/5 Card(s): Cute but janky. I'd have liked something that captures the flavour of writing your own script (something that I've tried a few times but always failed at) a little better, but that's just me. 2/5 Total: 6/10
Egak - Sifana / Various
Race: I like most things except for the cool-coloured skin. Seems too blue-green to me. 3/5 Card(s): Cute cycle, but it feels forced and perhaps a little uninspired. Having quills, I'd almost expect some sort of "range strike" ability. The flavour texts are nice, though! 3/5 Total: 6/10
!TIEBREAKER!
Brofaux vs Stapler.
Flipped a 10 rappen coin I somehow found in the til at work. The head of some probably-famous-in-Switzerland woman says Brofaux wins. Hooray!
DO THIS: Make a creature with the following keyword - Banisher (Whenever this creature deals combat damage to another creature, exile that creature)
Krenkus the Annihilator :3mana::symb::symr::symg: Legendary Creature- Gorgon WarriorMR
First strike, banisher
Whenever a creature an opponent controls is exiled by ~, search that creature's controller's library, hand, and graveyard for any creature cards with the same name as the exiled card and exile them. Then, that player shuffles his or her library.
I was staring at my marks and couldn't understand how I was tied for second when I had gotten failgrade out of 10 in both categories. Then I looked at what everyone else's grades were out of. Lol.

Veteran Monster Hunters1WW Creature - Human Cleric Warrior (R)
Vigilance, banisher
When Veteran Monster Hunters enters the battlefield, put seven 1/1 red Devil creature tokens with "This creature attacks each turn if able" onto the battlefield under target opponent's control. They themselves would unleash hell upon the world just to save it again.

Creature - Elemental Knight {U}
Banisher (Whenever this creature deals combat damage to another creature, exile that creature.)
As long as a card exiled with Banewender has flying, Banewender has flying. The same is true for first strike, double strike, lifelink, deathtouch, intimidate, hexproof, haste, landwalk, protection, and trample.
