Subject16: Peresophia of Meletis
This definitely feels like an uncommon legend. The coolest thing is that it upgrades itself to a 3/3. It's kinda inefficient, but it's neat. Which describes the card pretty well.
Eventide Sojourner: Subvert
A Barter in Blood for lands is no joke. Three mana for it is probably oppressive. Being able to wipe the opponent's only two lands (on the play) and keeping one yourself is an extremely common line with this. You might even get some free damage out of it. I'm not against a Barter in Blood for lands, but putting it at RRR really risks making monored the deck to beat in standard. How much of this card does anybody really want to see? Also the name "Subvert" doesn't really capture the card. Cards like this are usually depicted as cataclysmic events.
Graffd02: Warleader's Blade
Hmmm. That's powerful, and it's splashy, but it's probably okay at uncommon. The power level leans heavily towards rare though, and RRR is not a cost found on many nonrare cards. We're definitely going to see this effect on an equipment one of these days.
TheRavenManIsSquee: Sunscorch
Welcome! This is pretty interesting, and is closest to things like Fire Covenant, Volcano Hellion, and Hex. I like it. It's a huge advantage at a huge cost. When the land doesn't matter, the life loss will, and vice-versa.
Forestsguy: Essemer of Wonders
I like the card, but there's no way a card costing RRRWWW could be uncommon. It's cute that it refers to the RRR or WWW thing, but 2RRWW would be much more acceptable. You don't want a bunch of these clogging up your draft pod.
Stille Nacht: Achilles // Menin
It took a bit of googling to really understand the reference. I've read the Odyssey, but never the Iliad. Apparently, "Menin" means "rage", and is the first word of the epic as well as being a major theme of the character. When a friend of Achilles dies (Patroclus), his god-like anger becomes manifest. That could be made more clear with the card-names, but I like the way it fits together to tell the story. BUT the design is not right for an uncommon. A 3/3 indestructible for 3 is already huge, but then it becomes a 5/1 (still indestructible) repeatable monster. This is not a card you want to be all over draft, and should be a rare. Even as a rare, I don't tend to like the way cards like this play out.
Sephon19: Meteor Launch
Hmm. It's a Firestorm variant. We don't get a lot of those. This doesn't do all that much unless you have a bunch of lands to sacrifice, and it doesn't look like something you're going to use much unless you're going for a kill. Saccing three lands to blow up three creatures is okay, but still kinda dubious. It can't be countered or damage prevented, so when it's lethal, there's not much to be done about it. It's powerful, and would probably be pretty useful in some EDH decks, and it has it's niche, but I don't see it as a very joyous card to win with or lose to. It's more the right tool for the right job in certain decks. EDIT BY REQUEST: Yes, funtime flavor text is a good description of this. Everybody loves goblins who die for nothing.

IIW: A new archvillain to replace Bolas
(Just realised the problem with this entry. Ah well, not going to change it because reasons.)
TheRavenManIsSquee: This is way too overpowered. The swords already give a huge aggressive advantage in protection and buffing but this thing can absolutely cripple opponents when it connects, and the other triggered ability is just as broken imo. This would need to be scaled back a hell of a lot before it would be acceptable.
Cardz5000: Well balanced for sure, and I appreciate trying to make exhaust as an evergreen term (not sure it's the word I would use but I'm not sure what I would use). My only gripe is that the two abilities of the swords usually distinguish the colors pretty well, whereas here both abilities seem a lot more blue than white.
EventideSojourner: Way too strong, especially with the +1/+1 counters. Forestsguy's version is significantly more balanced and still overs the same value over time thing you're going for here.
Forestsguy: What's interesting about this is that it's not especially obvious to me which effect is white and which one is green, which I suppose isn't super good when the swords' abilities are so tied to each of their colors. I like that the proliferation comes before the counter so as to not generate too big of an advantage, and I'm also curious as to why target any permanent with the +1/+1 counter ability.
VolraththeRisen: The first effect is very red and is pretty nice because it's not super oppressive, but the green effect is too similar to Feast and Famine's for me, and I find it odd that it untaps all basics not just your own.
I'm going to give the win to VolraththeRisen!
Next challenge: A new archvillain to replace Bolas

{-9] Put all creatures from all graveyards into the battlefield under your control.

IIW: Artifacts or Enchantments in the command zone.
Sephon19 - Revrak Nagul
SAC: CMC6 to get either a vanilla 6/6 and two free creature drops or a monogreen ticking time bomb towards wiping out their lands is... rude. Feels quite basic for a Mythic. That said, this is very green in a rather old fashioned way. 3/5
VIL: Would WotC even consider this guy a villain? I like the unexpectedness of a monogreen beatstick archvillain though. 3/5 TOTAL: 6/10
Stille_Nacht - Them
SAC: It emerges without tricks. It has shadow. It replicates unless you deal with it in an unconventional way. If you don't regulate it, it can go exponential very quickly. BUT it's not all that quick at killing you from scratch if it puts you on a clock, and most kill spells can at least stall it. So it's an unconventionally challenging threat but it's far from insurmountable. 4/5
VIL: Utterly fantastic. Everyone else went for an unsympathetic "celebrity" planeswalker, you went for the faceless interplanar equivalent of grey goo. This is genuinely creepy & mysterious, so even though They start off as a total blank slate there's a lot of storytelling to be done here. This would be a wonderful change of pace for the MtG storyline & I'd love to see it play out. 5/5 TOTAL: 9/10
Subject16 - Lim-Dûl, the Mastermind
SAC: I like the synergy between the abilities, but somehow it's a flavor let down that the ultimate just... kinda kills everyone's face. I really love both the +1 and the -3 though, especially as a long time player of hand kill decks. I'd play this so clearly it can't be bad! 3/5
VIL: Pretty unsurprising, but I do like Lim-Dul as a character so I'm okay with this. Not sure how you build a storyline about this though? Like, does he dig up (out of print) terrors from Dominaria's past? If so, more of a nod towards that in the abilities would have been nice. Like, maybe let him make snowy Juzám Djinn tokens as his ultimate. Or something. Everything's fine here but I'm just not feeling you can get a multi-block story out of this. 2.5/5 TOTAL: 5.5/10
TheRavenManIsSquee - Tezzeret, Lord of Phyrexia SAC: Whoa. That's one hell of a mixed bag of abilities. He's so SMALL for a mythic planeswalker, in terms of his starting loyalty & the increments he can gain. Feels a lot like a win more card. By the time the Horrors are of any decent size, you're either overextended or already dominant. The midrange ability is a toolbox but a very slow one. It's hard to read the ultimate as anything other than "Win a duel which you could have won ten minutes ago". I feel like I'm really missing something here. 2/5
VIL: It has Phyrexia written on it & it creates good old-fashioned black Horrors, so I'm going to like it! I just wish it was Mishra (or even Gix) not Tezzeret for the greater sense of unexpected villainous grandeur. 3/5 TOTAL: 5/10
graffd02 - Gideon, Unhallowed Lich King
SAC: It has the original Liliana Vess ultimate & I'm honestly not sure whether that's intentional. I really like the addition of deathtouch to Gideon's signature ability to turn this into a graveyard stocker. 3/5
VIL: I would be giving this a much higher rating if only it had the crucial "This can be your commander" line of text. As an archvillainous planeswalker that can turn into a creature, it REALLY wants that. A fallen hero as an archvillain makes me happy too, especially as Gideon was always hardhearted enough that this reenvisioning of him as a sort of cross between Gerrard & Crovax is a real hit with me. 3.5/5 TOTAL: 6.5/10
Sorry if my ratings for most entries seem a bit downbeat! I just love the obvious winner SO VERY MUCH that everything else looked a bit less exciting by comparison.

Legendary Planeswalker - Revrak M
+1: Create a 6/6 green legendary Plant creature token named Scar of Society.
+1: Create two 1/1 green Insect creature tokens.
-3: Scry 3, then look at the top card of your library. If it's a green creature card, you may cast it without paying its mana cost.
-8: For each creature you control, destroy target noncreature permanent you don't control.

Concept: Green villain. Wants to return everything to a natural state, and to end all civilization to achieve it.

Emerge, Shadow
Whenever another creature dies, Them deals damage, or a spell targets Them, put a copy of Them onto the battlefield
Do not look for Them. Do think about Them. Ignorance is your best defense. They cannot see you now. If you look, you will be seen.

Legendary Planeswalker - Dûl (Mythic)
[+1]: Choose a card type. Target opponent reveals their hand. You choose a card from among them of the chosen type. That player discards that card. If they can't, they lose 2 life and you gain 2 life.
[-3]: Put an artifact or creature card from an opponents graveyard onto the battlefield under your control. Each opponent puts the top X cards of their library into their graveyard, where X is that card's converted mana cost.
[-5]: Each opponent loses life equal to the number of cards in their graveyard.

IIW: Uncommon lands with a basic land type.

[-2] Search your library for an artifact card, then put that card on top of your library.
[-9] Tezzeret, Lord of Phyrexia deals 200 damage to any target. At the beginning of the next end step, you lose the game.

1) StandAlone Card rating (SAC)
2) Villainy rating (VIL)
SAC: CMC6 to get either a vanilla 6/6 and two free creature drops or a monogreen ticking time bomb towards wiping out their lands is... rude. Feels quite basic for a Mythic. That said, this is very green in a rather old fashioned way. 3/5
VIL: Would WotC even consider this guy a villain? I like the unexpectedness of a monogreen beatstick archvillain though. 3/5
TOTAL: 6/10
TOTAL: 9/10
TOTAL: 5.5/10
TheRavenManIsSquee - Tezzeret, Lord of Phyrexia
SAC: Whoa.
TOTAL: 5/10
graffd02 - Gideon, Unhallowed Lich King
