Variably Temporal 3UR
All cards have flash.
Spells don't resolve until the beginning of each end step.
~s power is equal to the number of spells on the stack, plus its toughness. Its toughness is your life total divided by 5, rounded up.
:1mana:: Resolve all spells on the stack. Control? No. This is more than control. This is mastery. Of what, we aren't sure. But mastery, it is.
IIW: The land of Oz (ie. Setting of 'The Wizard of Oz' - not that 2-bit, hack of a country Australia. SERIOUSLY. Get an adult rating for video games, you dirty nation of convicts. I find it funny that a nation of convicts bans violent video games. Over compensating much?) gets invaded by Goblins. All the characters are replaced with Goblin counterparts. Pick one. Make it.
This is a weird card, but I guess I asked for it. My problem isn't with its maths, but with the fact that the game stops because of it. Both players need to pass priority over an empty stack in order to move onto the next phase, so if you haven't the mana to "resolve the stack" as the ability so elegantly puts it, the game stops.
Elegance U
Enchantment (R)
Fibonacci cumulative upkeep (At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are no age counters on this permanent, put an age counter on it. Otherwise, put a number of age counters on this permanent equal to the number of age counters that were on it as its Fibonacci cumulative upkeep was last paid.) Whenever you pay ~'s Fibonacci cumulative upkeep, look at the top X cards of your library and put them back in any order, where X is the number of age counters on ~. If you have fewer than X cards in your library, you lose the game. "Izzet a problem?"
IIW: A double-faced card.
EDZ: Reply #13000!
Fibonacci Cumulative Upkeep is the best cumulative upkeep there ever was. Also, there's no FCU cost lol, so you're just rigging your deck every turn until you... Oh yoy! You die! Interesting double-edged sword (although if you're half your library, you ought to be winning...)
Soooooooooo close. I think I'm comin' close to that "runner-up" title.
Rage Inhibitor :2mana::symu::symr:
Creature - Human Spellshaper {R}
:symu::symu:, :symtap:, Discard a card: Counter target spell if its converted mana cost is equal to Rage Inhibitor's power.
:symr:: Rage Inhibitor gets +1/+0 until end of turn.
"Arrest this man, he talks in maths!"
0/2
IIW: Musical Magic
I swear I made a card with the same name as this. Or, y'know, seen this card somewhere. Was this yours? Also what's its base power? Whatever it is (assuming it's a 1/3, like I remember, I think), it's a cool card.
Time GamblerUR
Creature - Human Wizard M UR, :symtap:: Flip a coin, if you win the flip, take an extra turn after this one. If you lose the flip, skip your next turn. Repeat this process. Probability is often synonymous with inevitability
2/1
IIW: Deify
Wow, that's... risky. You could either win the game right there, lose the game right there, or, er, do nothing. This might be the swingiest coin-flip card I've ever seen, and that's... saying something. Just one flip might make this playable. two kinda makes this useless.
Izzet Whiz1UR
Creature - Goblin Wizard
When Izzet Whiz enters the battlefield, choose a number between 1 and 6 at random.
All instances of numbers in the text of spells and permanents are changed to the chosen number. Game > losers.
2/2
iiw: non-Aura enchantments with flash
Oooooh that's cool. It changes power and toughness too, right? Because that's part of the text. Also mana cost, although would 15 become 6 through this? This is a cool card, but it brings too many random questions.
Numerostatic Discharge8UR
Sorcery (MR)
Put X 1/1 red Elemental creature tokens with haste onto the battlefield, where X is the total converted mana cost of instant and sorcery cards in your graveyard. Exile them at end of turn. If you're talked into an Izzet experiment, always clarify what kind of 'rounding up' you'll be doing.
IIW: Siggy.
i c wut u did thar, "numero"static. At 10 mana, it's kinda ridiculous to cast, but it'll be ridiculous when you do cast it. That's actually a really cool card (well, in EDH at least) and the flavour text is nice too.
NivometryUR
Instant (M)
Choose one for each spell named ~ on the stack -- ~ deals 1 damage to target creature or player; or Tap target creature that was dealt damage this turn; or Target player that was dealt damage this turn draws a card; or Return target spell to its owner's hand. (You may choose the same choice more than once.)
Replicate UR
That should be sufficiently puzzling for izzet minds. (Yes, you're not supposed to mention the stack, but how could I resist?)
IIW: A loose cycle
I almost didn't notice the replicate and thought it was terrible. Did you know, though, that replicate copies it and all modes you chose? Meaning if you chose to deal damage, all of them will deal damage (exponentially and awesomely!) and the other abilities are all useless.
Also an even bigger problem, modes are chosen on casting, so by the time Replicate makes copies, you have already chosen (1).
Spell Multiply1UR
Instant (R)
Storm
Copy target spell. You may choose new targets for the copies.
Iiw siggy
It's like target spell gains storm. You mean instant/sorcery, right? Because this does nothing to permanents.
Also seems really good because you can turn an already-powerful spell like Lightning Bolt into, well, super-victory. Not too hard to get storm 7, y'know.
Lin Kozzer, MathjurerUURR
Legendary Creature - Goblin Wizard {R}
At the beginning of your upkeep name a number and reveal the top card of your library. If the card's converted mana cost is equal to the number, put that card in your hand and Lin Kozzer deals that much damage to target creature
Lin Kozzer's toughness is equal to double the number of cards in your hand Numbers power there in is
0/*
IIW: Sig
So if you have a way of rigging your library, magical crap happens. I'm okay with that (not really). The toughness-setting ability is weird (killing it when you have no cards in hand is a bit sad).
Pain Split1BB
Sorcery (R)
Yours and target opponent's life totals each become equal to your combined life totals divided by two rounded down. And you thought math made your head hurt.
Destruction Sequence1R
Enchantment (R)
Whenever you cast a spell with converted mana cost equal to the number of charge counters on Destruction Sequence plus one, put a charge counter on Destruction Sequence.
At the beginning of each end step, if Destruction Sequence has seven or more charge counter on it, remove all charge counters from it and it deals 20 damage to target creature or player. "Missile launch in five-four-three-two-one!"
Destruction SequenceR
Enchantment (R)
Whenever you cast a spell with converted mana cost 3, put a charge counter on Destruction Sequence and it loses this ability.
Whenever you cast a spell with converted mana cost 5, put a charge counter on Destruction Sequence and it loses this ability.
Whenever you cast a spell with converted mana cost 7, put a charge counter on Destruction Sequence and it loses this ability.
Remove thee charge counters from Destruction Sequence, Sacrifice destruction Sequence: Destruction Sequence deals 10 damage to target creature or player.
IIW: Cards from a block set in the underworld.
AWWW YEAAH. It's not actually that hard to do the maths, because it's just averaging the life totals. Because people are dumb though, I guess you're forced to spell it out. Love that it's identical to the move it's named after.
For destructive sequence, I would've preferred it to start with like CMC 5 and count downward so it's more like, well, a countdown.
Shotgun to the Face3RR
Sorcery (R)
Choose target player, then flip four coins. Shotgun to the Face deals 2 to the Xth damage to that player, here X is the number of coin flips you won. (Two to the zeroth is 1.)
IIW: fun with indestructibility
Love the name and love how it's, uh, indicative of the spready randomness of a shotgun. Maximum 3RR for 16 face damage? Yes!
Okay so HM to Lanxal and Prophylaxis for cool cards.
But CrustyCrusader wins.
So your next challenge is Cards from a block set in the underworld.

Crazy, although it's not altogether insane if there's no gangblocking going on. Then again, if you control this, why wouldn't you gang the blockage?
