Shifting Worldscapes :3mana::symu::symu:
Enchantment
Landfall- whenever a you play a basic land, you may have all creatures you control gain landwalk for that land.
"I do not need to meet your forces head-on, given that the terrain aids my strategies. The land always aids my strategies."
-Royal Mage
----------------------------------------
Okay, I like this card, I really do. I could see it being utilized in a variety of decks, blue/white and blue/green come to me first.
Its a very cool way of utilising landfall and it seems like a card that would fit straight into Zendikar.
I feel, being a writer myself, the flavor text is somewhat cheesy... but its cool anyways.
Again, a very cool card, though I'm not sure how balanced it is. It seems fair, however, I would like it to be printed in green rather in blue. 8/10
Next: A Goblin that on first sight looks extremely overpowered, but is actually weak upon closer inspection. Take that however you may.
Okay, lets see.. hmm... I'm not much of a goblins fan as I only play mono-black and black/green decks... But thats probably gonna give me an advantage here.
Fallen Goblin4BRG
Creature - Goblin Zombie
Wither, Double strike, Supershroud
As long as you control a red, green, and black permanent, all creatures you control are black and have death touch.
Whenever you put a -1/-1 counter on a creature you don't control, put a +1/+1 counter on ~. "Wherree issss...... my... Preciousss?"
1/1
Supershroud- ~ cannot be targeted by spells or abilities you don't control.
Fallen Goblin - What a messy card. Gross. I guess I can see how someone would look at all the abilities and think "OH MY GAWD" and then look at its mana cost and p/t and realize that this thing is just a mess. Bonus points for meeting the challenge, but the card just looks messy, with way too much text, too many abilities.... like the "as long as you control" clause... it's superfluous because this card *is* a green, red, and black permanent while it's on the field. This is almost a PressingChess card, no offense
6/10 - Mostly for the creative way in which the challenge was met.
Next: Brofaux didn't post a challenge! I'm telling! I'll repeat the last challenge.
Tardy Mogg - R Creature - Goblin
Trample
You can't cast ~ during your first, second, third, or fourth turns of the game. "Where have you been? The battle is already over!"
3/3
Tardy Mogg: Great card overall. If one analyzes only CC and P/T he seems overpowered. But in the deck that wants him (sligh and the like) he is worthless... 10/10.
Late Seed
Cost: 1G
Creature - Treefolk
Trample
You can't cast Late Seed during your first, second or third turns of the game.
Late Seed comes into the battlefield tapped. The Scarwood treefolk never responded well to the passing of time.
4/5
Next: A card with a new 'smoothing mechanic' (I call smoothing mechanic a mechanic created with limited in mind - scry, cycling, clash, etc).
Late Seed - I think it's fair. Most aggro decks wouldn't want this, but it's a pretty big dude for only 2 mana... a johnny-come-lately tarmagoyf. 9/10
Smooth Operator - 2U Creature - Human Operator {Un-set symbol}
Smooth (if you can talk your way out of it, this creature can't be targetted by spells or abilities.) Operator 3 (Whenever this creature attacks or blocks, you may reveal the top 3 cards of your library and put a land card from among them into your hand. If that land card was LA or Chicago, put a +1/+1 counter on ~.)

Split cards should still follow the WORD (and) WORD format. There are plenty of options. I also do not understand what Roar of Thunder does. Are you intending this card to be able to deal 5 damage for RR? I'm afraid that is much too good for one card. 5/10.

This is a cool ability, but there are a couple things I dislike about it. 1- the X in the cost. I'd rather just make it a set cost that comes into play with a set number of counters. 2- the fact it uses "wind counters" rather than something like +1/+1 or charge counters. +1/+1 counters are nice because they have lots of synergy with cards that have already been printed. Finally, this guy is over the curve if you pay 0- a 1/4 flyer for 2 is really good.
7/10
Absalom the Frail3WB
Planeswalker- Absalom

Simic Engineering: Meets the challange, but unexciting 7/10.

[-8]: For each creature you control, you may search your library or graveyard for a card with the same name and put it onto the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. Then shuffle your library.
[4]
Freyalise - Undercosted for how powerful it is, but otherwise a really cool design. I think if it was costed +1 or +2 mana, it would be ok... or if its starting loyalty was lower... but 3 mana for 5 starting loyalty is really tough... 6/10
Copycat Rater - X(R/U) Instant
Split Second

YOU ARE SURPRISED BY A MANTICORE! IT QUICKLY SHREDS YOUR FLESH AND DEVOURS YOU!
Interesting design, I think it's playable. At first, the 3 life thing made me gag - but when I realized it was just a stream of life that works for some decks - it might be printable. But Still, Gaining 9 life for 4 mana seems a little extreme. And this is nuts in multiplayer games. And heck, it's even highly relevant sometimes, I could see it in some sideboards. If it was a sorcery - it'd be a bit better balanced.
8/10
Single OutX
Instant
Chose X target creatures. Tap all other creatures and put a +1/+1 counter on each creature tapped this way.
Next - A card that captures the idea of a storage facility.
Wow, that's bizarre.
I would never run the following card:
Example - 3W
Sorcery
Gain 9 life.
It's awful, except maybe in limited.
Anyways:
Single Out - 7/10 Not much to say here, a solid, interesting card. My only problem is the massive +1/+1 counters on a hybrid blue card, and the Tap-down effect on a hybrid green card. I would definitely use this in Monogreen aggro, cast it for 4 to tap down all their blockers and put +1/+1 on my whole team and swing (quite possibly for the win). Neat concept, but I really feel like it should be XGU, not hybrid (though I understand the cost was part of the challenge).
Boros Depot Land
~ comes into play tapped with three charge counters on it. ,T, Remove a charge counter from ~: Add RW to your mana pool. ,T, Remove a charge counter from ~: Target creature gets +2/+0 until end of turn.
Nozdormu, Bronze Paragon - Given power levels as they are now, I can't help but feel this is a tad bit underwhelming. Not much else to say about it, really. 6/10.
Your challenge was: A nonlegendary Nerd
Pocket Protector 1WW
Creature - Kithkin Soldier Nerd
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, target opponent names two numbers between 1 and 100, then flips a coin. If you can add those numbers correctly before the coin lands on the table, prevent all damage that would to dealt to you and permanents you control this turn. "Forty-three plus Seventy-sev--"
"120."
1/1
Meh. Nerds.
Next challenge: *looks upwards for inspiration* Make a Manticore that surprises, shreds, and devours.
Does that work once or permanently? Like, you drop it, gain control of all artifacts, but if my opponent plays another does he control it or not?
Anyway, my rating is 5. It's an interesting concept but at the same time I think it's just part of a long line of seemingly broken ability placed on ludicrously hard-to-cast spells. This one is also a creature so it can die easily. Only a few johnnies would play this with Mycosynth Lattice. Most people would be annoyed to open this.
Chromapax, Dragon Illusionist3UUR

it's ok, i think the las ability should be worded differently, but ok it's like a morfling but withput the ability to protect itself, i think it could cost 5 since it's a dragon and they have a dragon discount. i give it a 6
WeresquirrelWG
Creature - Squirrel Soldier [C]

When Weresquirrel is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, put a 1/1 green Squirrel creature token onto the battlefield.

Manticore: This certainly does surprise, shred, and devour. Literally. I can't help but feel that he is too good (devour two creatures and he's dealing 8 damage? For 5 mana?) but Devour is underpowered as it is. I will give this a 8/10.

R/W/B ultimatum- this is okay, but I feel like it has a lot of stuff to keep track of. Additionally, if I'm casting a 7 mana super color intensive spell, I'd like to have some control over its outcome. As it is right now, it seems like very unfun design.

5/5
Very cool creature, but even as an ultimatum it seems a tad too overpowered- It can target itself, making copies which can make more copies and those copies can make more copies of themselves... well the number of elemental could just grow exponentially and your opponent will find himself overrun by trampling 5/5s.
Its difficult to judge whether or not an ultimatum is too overpowered, but this one is pushing it too far.(6/10)
