He writes ground breaking dystopian science fiction that is eerily relevant, despite being written 40+ years ago. A true visionary.
Many movies have been made from his novels and short stories, but the true abstraction is usually missing. Such films as: Total Recall, The Minority Report, Pay Check, A Scanner Darkly, and others. Total Recall is one of the most successful adaptations, IMHO.
He is an endless inspiration in my own life and art, especially the plays I write.
