One suggested judging criteria. (Feel free to make adjustments for your round) Scoring 20/ 20 Flavor:1 to 10 ... Is it an interesting card? Would it be fun to play? Does it fit the color pie, for colored cards? Does it make sense for Magic? Innovation/Originality: 1 to 5 ... Is it ground breaking, or is it a good twist on an old idea, or is it just another card with a new name? (I'll give high scores for a good twist.) Ballance: 1 to 5 ... This is a tricky one. But I see ballance as something not broken. I don't feel every card has to be tournament worthy to be ballanced. Try comparing the card to cards already in print.
Judges usually judge after a long lag in posts, or about 10 posts per contest.
If you see a mistake with the judging, type a nice note pointing it out, but to keep things moving, the Judge does not have to change the score or anything.

Templating/ Design: 8 Even though the damage mechanic is interesting, and I can't think of a better way to word it, I think such mechanics are often overpassed for simpler effects that do pretty much the same thing.
Balance: 8 This card is overpowered in limited for sure. For 1 more mana than Arc Slogger you get another point of power and flying, with spot removal, or another 6 damage to the head per turn.

Flavor: 7 I think if you called him Larkos, Lava Breath I would have chuckled and it would have been a 9 for flavor. Also comming off of Kamigawa, it seems like cards with Name, Title should be Legendary.

Flavor: 7 A walking wall dragon with overrun built in. Cool. Seems a litte odd that a green defender would be sacrificing those he is charged with to defend. That seems a little bit of a blackish thing to do.
Templating/ Design: 9 again my pet peaves about formattng.
Balance: 9 Well balanced.

Flavor: 8 Very flavorful.
Templating/ Design: 8 good, but the costs all seem a bit clunky.
Balance: 7 It depends upon the card pool, but this could be a cool card with mana problems. It seems if it gets the mana, it is going to clean up, but if not then it is a dead card. A little too clunky in my opinion.

Flavor: 7 I think if you called him Larkos, Lava Breath I would have chuckled and it would have been a 9 for flavor. Also comming off of Kamigawa, it seems like cards with Name, Title should be Legendary.
Templating/ Design: 9 good, but alot of text on one card.
Balance: 8 I think the Channel cost might be a little too cheap for an uncounterable instant.
