This has a common hybrid mana problem, in that for RRR you can gain 10 life, or for WWW you get a one-sided pyroclasm. From the wording given, I'm also not sure how it's supposed to work in a multiplayer game. I do quite like the flavour, though, of how the healing effect is so powerful it can singe those nearby.

Wacktastic. This has a slight rules problem, in that it doesn't say what to do with permanents that are supposed to come into play but can't, but that's an easy fix. I'm also not sure that blue is the best colour for it: might fix better in Black given is Lich-like ability, or White because of how it's laying down the law. I do like it overall, but don't feel it sets up much tension in terms of life totals: this just makes it even better to hurt your opponent quickly, which is the same objective as always.

Clean, interesting card. I like the balance of it only being "on" half the time, and that your opponent has some control over that. Though is a good common tweak to Raging Goblin in a Life Matters set, as it's a little underwhealming as an example of new design space. Also, it'd be nice to have some more flavour than "Chaos" in the name to explain why you having an odd life total effects it.

ooooh... A one-sided mine, very daring, but I think this is well balanced. I'm not sure why it needs to be white, though, I guess just because it's affected by your life total? It's effect sems like it could've been mono-blue or even artifact. And, like Vladsimpaler, while life being even/odd works well mechanically, it needs some sort of flavour to back it up.

It might be the first time you made a 21/21 for 1, but it's definitely the first time I've had to judge one! I think this works very well, I love how it gives your opponent pause when attacking. Mechanically, I could see it in White or Green, but the flavour you've given it is quite awesome. I suspect that it wouldn't playtest too well, though... a 1/1 for 1 while you're at 20 life is fine, and a 20/20 for 1 while you're at 1 life could be okay... but a 5/5 for 1 while your at 15? That seems excessive.

Love the flavour text. Okay, let's do the math... so as long as your at 13 life or higher when it comes out, it needs 4 activations to win you the game. Adding a turn for the 50 life clause, that's a 5 or 6 turn clock. A bit quick for a one-card combo, imo, but what's worse is even if you opponent destroys it in time, your still going to have such a life cushion that it'd probably be scoop time.

Oooh... I was re-reading the card a few times before writing this, and just caught the "up to 3". That's brilliant. It means you can fine tune the life gain to stay just below your opponent's total, or stay odd/even, or wherever you might like to be. Very neat card. I have to take some marks off for the unnecessary word "additional" and for the flavour text—I guess it's a reference to land tax, but doesn't quite work.

Very nice card, exactly the kind of thing the challenge was about. I like how, most of the time, you only have control over turning it off, while your opponent has to decide when to turn it on. Part marks off for missing the "/" in "+2/+2", and I think for the unnecessary in the mana cost as I don't see anything red about the card.
