How to enter: Post a list of fifteen short card fragments - a cost, a name, a line of flavor or rules text, a typeline, a piece of art, a color and rarity, or something similarly simple - and a price for each (keeping your prices to $5 or less, and your total prices to $25 or less). Once you've done this, this post becomes your Vendor Stall here at the Swap Meet.
Card fragments can be either from existing cards, or new. If you're introducing an ability, type, or supertype that doesn't currently exist, you'll need to provide reminder text and, if necessary, come up with a CR entry for it as well.
At least once a day, the list of Vendor Stalls and their available money will be updated (either by myself or by one of our glorious mods). New Vendors will be given $20 in game money.
How to play: You'll be designing cards based on other people's fragments. There are two ways to get them: you can buy them, or you can negotiate trades involving at least one other person. (Everyone involved in a trade has to agree to it before it's finalized.)
When you get a fragment from someone else, you make a card that incorporates it. Post that card, add a link to it in your Vendor Stall, and then add a new fragment to your list, including its price.
When you give a fragment to someone else, take it off your list.
At least once a day, links to finished cards, along with their costs and typelines, will be added to the Card Synopses list below.
The game will continue until either everyone gets tired of it or one person ends up being the only one with money and fragments left. (In the latter case, we'll start up a new Swap Meet at some point afterward.)
Other rules: Keep in mind that you're only out of this if your Vendor Stall is empty and you're out of money.

Seconding the proposal: All "parts" of any finished cards must be purchased from a vendor. Otherwise, what motivation would we have to buy components if we could make them ourselves?
Additional proposal: Creatures' P/T numbers cost nothing to use. (i.e. If you want to create a creature that's 5/5, the "5/5" part will cost you $0.00.)
Additional proposal: Completed cards may be offered in the storefronts at a price determined by the creator. Purchased cards can be "taken apart" and reused/resold for their components.
Additional proposal: Players may "discontinue" the sale of certain card fragments (removing them from their stores) and replace them with new card fragments at the cost of $0.25 each. ("My stock isn't selling well. I'll have to take a slight loss and offer something new.")
Seconding the proposal: All "parts" of any finished cards must be purchased from a vendor. Otherwise, what motivation would we have to buy components if we could make them ourselves?
At present, it's just "you have to use at least one" - the intent being, basically, that you're selling off parts of ideas you haven't been able to make work for whatever reason.
If we have more people showing up, I've got no problem with increasing it to needing to buy two or even three before you can finish it off yourself, but until then, it's a little counterproductive (and I don't have any intention of pushing it all the way to "everything has to be bought from someone else" unless this gets far more popular than I'm expecting).
Additional proposal: Creatures' P/T numbers cost nothing to use. (i.e. If you want to create a creature that's 5/5, the "5/5" part will cost you $0.00.)
This falls into the "you need to throw some of your own input to cards" bit that I've mentioned above.
Additional proposal: Completed cards may be offered in the storefronts at a price determined by the creator. Purchased cards can be "taken apart" and reused/resold for their components.

Ah, I see. I'll have to rework my storefront's logic, in that case. I had a chest of ideas here somewhere...

Hrmm...one thing I do want to know is whether or not there is a 'running' tally of losses/profits that maybe if we hit a sales/loss level, then there is a bonus/penalty?
If not I would be more than happy to make something up. It would be more incentive, like on a weekly basis. Something like "If your gains are over $20 this week, then next week you can have X additional items."
