Ok, removing the challenge info after this post. I wasn't sure how that was going to work, and checked the thread for the previous round of this, which said to post your challenge with the card IIRC.
Hmm...so it seems like coming up with challenges you actually really want to do are the best idea, then?
I have some vague ideas for my own challenge, I'll add it to the post when I touch up the flavor tomorrow, Kenaron. The (W/B) Spirit Rebel is pretty amusing, my logic was that Rebel had appeared almost entirely in those two colors, and Spirit is a great type they also share, which also happens to work really well flavorfully with the Rebel type. It's exciting to be paired against the latest FCC winner right off the bat!
Alright, so I guess that I'll be creating a standard challenge every round to be used if the passing player doesn't post one in time or in the event of a double dare.

That was pretty much my thinking too, the only white/black tribal themes are rebel, spirit, and cleric and cleric goes against one of the bonus points. I also think hybrid design and the now two color rebel themes go well together, since you can technically play any monocolor rebel in an off-color deck they have to be color pie neutral for the most part, or rather fit nearly as well in white as black.
Argh! Now I want to make a thread about this kind of design but it could influence this game. I'm also itching like crazy to start a thread somewhere about my Kobold. In both cases it's best to hold until the round is over to discuss anything, but I'm going to have sketchy Internet access from the 3rd to the 10th so I have to wait two weeks before hearing anything about my card.
Djinni Overlord U
Creature - Djinn
Cumulative Upkeep - Each opponent draws 2 cards.
Whenever an opponent has ten or more cards in his or her hand, you lose the game. Djinn never serve easily. Some lash out at their masters directly. Others plot more subtle and complete revenge.
5/5
@Blackbull: actually no. Because after the opponent's cleanup step, the maximum (not considering Spellbook or something like that) an opponent will have when you pay for the first time the cumulative upkeep is 7. So 7 + 2 = 9...
Submission:
GehennaBB
Instant (M)
Take an extra turn after this one. At the end of that turn, you lose the game.

Oh, but I forgot to say his first and only drop was a Ghost Town.
Oh, but I forgot to say his first and only drop was a Ghost Town.
But this changes all you've really said. I never said this is a SAFE card. Throwing Ghost Town into the pool of course would change things. As would, for example, Mox Jet and Thoughtseize. In this case your little pesky land would NOT be helpful. But ohhh...we're in the speculation land now! (and that's why I clearly wrote "...or something like that...cause I knew someone would find an obscure hoser for Jimmy's submission and happily point it out...)
Being plain simple: you said the card in the first turn would be, by itself, an auto-loss for someone playing it in the first turn. And I pointed that it would not. Discussing further is just pointless, and is Seratonin's job, to rate this card.

Turn one you play this. Your opponent plays just a land, seeing where this goes, ending his turn with 7 cards. Your upkeep you either sacrifice it or let them draw 2 cards, taking them to 9. You can hit them for 5 if you want. Then on their turn, they go to 10 and win. That's why you don't play this on turn one. Also, are we allowed to comment on eachother's cards? This seems very shady.

Silkenfist dared you to make a equipment that DOESN'T alter power and/or toughness. Bonus points for it NOT being Tribal and NOT having any keywords on it other than Equip. Bonus 2/2: Balance 8/10 What we have here is a throw back to the classic Coalition Flag Bearer. It's a potent effect that can save the day, or put a tinker in an opponent plans. It's a strong limited effect for sure, and since this is an update, it has the added benefit of being able to go through multiple uses. Nothing extradinary, but good stuff. Flavor 4/5 I like the flag reference. Don't get the whole serenity thing, but it's solid. Creativity 2/4 You lose out here because for the most part, it's the logical evolution of the Apocalypse white cards. Quality 4/4 No problem here
Total: 20/25
Kenny has dared you to make a Red Enchantment. Bonus Points for having a CMC of 3 or greater and not affecting creatures. Bonus 2/2 Balance 6/10 This is what the card reads: Tap a land, Pay 1 life: Add one color of any mana to your mana pool. Not in so many words of course, but there are a few things that are iffy. It hoses any thing that allows Land to produce more than one mana, which is few and far between but they exists. It makes deck dependent on creatures or nonland permanents for mana drastically more powerful. Elf decks splashing for black or red could use this to lock players out. It's an extremely power card, so much so that it's almost degenerative. Flavor 3/5 I'll give your credit, it's a cool image. It fits under a long lineage of cards that trade life for mana, but it doesn't explain how blood suddenly can make blighted earth healtheir than it was before. Creativity 4/4 Good concept for certain Quality 4/4 No problems Total: 19/25
Winner: Kenny, by a hair
Kenaron dared you to make a Rebel creature. Bonus points for not being Mono White or Black and having a creature type no other Rebel (sans the changeling bunch) has had. Bonus 2/2 Balance 8/10 A bit strange in my eyes. It's hyper aggressive, good on defense and offense. Yet something seems off to me. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I like the design Flavor 4/5 A few things bother me. The stats seem off, it doesn't explain why Liv isn't just white (it makes sense that she turn into a white black creature, but it feels forced), and the ability doesn't seem to mechnically connected to either closer philosphy, though I guess its okay because it's flavorfuly enough Creativity 4/4 Certainly original Quality 4/4 Yup 22/25
Gerrard's Mom dared you to make a 0 cost creature. Bonus points for not being an artifact and having a power greater than 0.
Bonus 2/2 Balance 8/10 The design in clean, cool, and extremely well done. But it's really powerful. Or at least powerful. Yet, I can honestly say that if you change a thing about the card it wouldn't be nearly as cool. Flavor 5/5 Um... yes. Creativity 3/4 The kobold thing probably should have been expected... Quality 4/4 Good 22/25
I like both cards a lot, so I'm making an executive desicion to pass both.
TerminusEst dared you to make a common card. Bonus points for using 10 words or less and being part of an obvious vertical cycle.
Bonus 2/2 Balance 9/10 Good stuff right here. A bit on the strong side, but good design. Flavor 4/5 It's focused and what's a fangroth? Creativity 0-4/4 I'm not sure what to do here. This is clearly good design, but the problem is that Dumb Luck submitted a very similar card design in a contest you were in. I want to give you the benefit of doubt, but it just seems strange to me and I'm having trouble in clear concious what to do about this. Quality 4/4 19-24/25 (Depending on the creativity call)
Socrates dared you to make a creature with haunt. Bonus points for having a static effect on the creature it haunts and having three or more colors. Bonus 2/2 Balance 10/10 I love this card. It can hose creatures, or pump them, it's just cool to look at and think how can I use this. Flavor 5/5 The card itself is already oozing, but the text, man, the flavor text knocked it out. Creativity 4/4
Quality 3/4 You're missing a Color Defining Characteristic of what the frog should be, but it's not too much of a problem 24/25
Winner: TerminusEst
MagicProfessor28 had dared to create a five colored creature (no hybrid). Bonus for having no tap effects and having flavor relatinged to a COMBINED Alara flavor (Post conflux essenially.)
Bonus 2/2 Balance 5/10 It's a powerhouse. It's a game breaker. It hoses all non domain, non five color decks. It limits a player's mana to 1-5. It too warping, it ruins the game. I love multicolored, but come on, you have to give mono colored decks a chance. If this card saw print, it wouldn't be a good sign. Flavor 4/5 Never did get the flavor text in... Creativity 2/4 Part Realm Razor, Part Child of Alara, Part Sundering Titan. Except, all of them on crack. Quality 4/4 And normally would have hurt you, but I'm feeling nice 17/25
Dragoon26 had dared you to make a burn spell. Bonus points for not having red mana symbols and it having a modal effect (Choose one- etc.) Bonus 2/2 Balance 8/10 It's not straight burn, I didn't alot points to 'spirit of the dare.' It's a strong card that allows for interesting game play. Nuff said. Flavor 5/5 I like. Creativity 2/4 A bit of a mash up of cards Quality 3/4 It seems like they should be a cleaner way to work this. The wording just seems forced 20/25
Winner: MP28
Alabran dared you to make a card that doesn't have the letter "e" anywhere... Bonus points awarded for having two abilities and actually manging the challenge.
Bonus 2/2 The fact that you managed to make a card that actually works... well I'm infinitely impressed. I thought this was the toughnest challenge. I would have turned it back in an instant. Balance 7/10 This card has two purposes. One, Tap: Add 2. Two, U, Tap: Draw a Card. It's a bit over the curve by allowing card draw for only 1 mana, but it's not unprecedented, and it's a decent card in and of itself. It's just is. It's functional, but doesn't push or break any limit. Flavor 3/5 It's okay, but nothing too extradoniary. You didn't have too much to work with, but I felt some other element could have really made it shine. Creativity 3/4 Despite being creative avoiding 'e' the card itself is just another artifact. Quality 4/4 19/25
Jester20005 dared you to make an artifact creature. Bonus points for being colored and having a combined power and tougness less than its CMC.
Bonus 2/2 Balance 8/10 I'm staring at this card in awe. For some reason this card just resonates so well. It's looks so clean, so powerful, so many ways to abuse it. Do you play it late in the game? Do want to establish an early threat. The Ethersworn Adjudicator in Conflux might have something to say about the card, but other I'm smitted by it's design. Flavor 5/5 Homerun Creativity 3/4 I feel like the design has been done before, yet it still looks awesome. Quality 4/4 22/25
Winner: Alabran
dd2k dared you to make a card that cares about other cards with the same name. Bonus points for being monocolored and NOT being a creature. Bonus 2/2 Balance 8/10 Limited fodder, but good limited fodder. The ability to randomly and partially neutralize certain critters is good. It can stop any creature that doesn't have trample and in multiples can be recursed. I like the concept of using the forecast mechanic to look into the past, but definitely a very cool design. Flavor 4/5 Solid, a bit weak Creativity 3/4 Cool synergy between abilities, but nothing extrodinary Quality 4/4 Total 21/25
Mellowcow dared you to make a sorcery (Note hybrid, not multicolored). Bonus points for having 'reveal' in its text and having an additional cost.
Bonus 1/2 Revealing wasn't included Balance 9/10 A decent card, and admittidly it is tough design space and you hit it right out of the ball pack. The ability to cleanse your hand and get relevent spells in your graveyard for reuse is great. It could have read "Reveal your hand. Discard all nonsorcery, noninstant cards..." Etc. Not as clean wording, but it would have got a bonus point, and I probably wouldn't have taken off on quality. Yet the point stands that is cool design Flavor 5/5 Sweet Creativity 3/4 Not something I would have ever thought of doing, though Nuckalevee gives fair precedence Quality 3/4 'your your graveyard', but nothing major
21/25
Another tie...
Rodrigolich dared you to make a hard counter. Bonus points for NOT using blue mana symbols and cantrips
Bonus 2/2 Balance 8/10 This is one of those cards that you question its power, but then you realize it's awesome. It's a green counter. How could that even work? Make it work against any instant/flash spell that a person could use. I'd argue it's an uncommon effect at least. Yet, I have to appreciate the design Flavor 5/5 I wish this card was real. That name just invokes so many images. Creativity 4/4 Green counter that actually works. And it's not avoid fate. Quality 4/4
23/25
Hemlock dared you to make a CC instant (CC being a single color). Bonus points for having a single word name and using Planar Chaos (the set)'s flavor.
Bonus 2/2 Balance 8/10 Final Fortune in black. Except how many black combo decks are there? How many times does a black deck just need to untap once to win? Black has a different game plan then red, and while I like the card it doesn't fit into black's usual pattern. Then, again I'd pair it with Angel's Grace in a heartbeat. It's a good planeshift. Flavor 3/5 Overtly ambigious flavor test. I'm just going to assume the name means something, but even then. Creativity 2/4 Again, Final Fortune. Using Planar Chaos flavor doesn't just mean doing a planeshift and calling it a day. Quality 4/4 19/25
Winner: Hemlock
Jimmy Groove had dared you to make a tribal instant. Bonus points for using a non-Lorwyn tribe (sans changeling) and having a pre-exisiting keyword
Bonus 2/2 I considered taking points off using Knight Tribal, but since I didn't specifiy Lorwyn Block, and Knight never got a proper Tribal spell, i'll let it pass. Balance 7/10 First thing that struck me was memory issues. I quickly dissmissed that. Second thing that struck me, I miss White Weenie decks that could do truly amazing things turn three. I like the design, but part of me calls it too weak, part of me calls is too strong, so I met in the middle. Flavor 4/5 It's more like Angel hybrid with a knight thrown in. Creativity 3/4 Crusade with a bonus, cool, but even with the synergy, it's not enough Quality 4/4 20/25
BlackBull dared you to make a creature with a CMC of 1, but a power of 5. Bonus points for NOT having to sacrifice permanents to keep it in play and NOT having it be Green or Black. Bonus 2/2 Balance 7/10 I will never, never, never, never play this card turn one. Hell I rarely would consider playing the card at all, if not for mill, discard, and my pet Spiteful Visions. This card screams combo six ways to Sunday. The fact that is could backfire, the fact that you get a contingency plan if the other less dangerous ones don't come to fruit. I'd ask why it was a 5/5 if wasn't part of the challenge. I like it, but the numbers don't realy match up. Flavor 5/5 That's some pretty cool flavor Creativity 4/4 Ah, blue fatties with a draw back Quality 3/4 An errenous 'i' in Djinn is distracting. Is it enough to detract? Well, I've been taking off for typos left and right, so yeah. 21/25
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.
I have three more matches to finish up. Expect the results tonight.
EDIT: We have winners!

The Next round will be 3 Free For All Matchs between three users. 1 Character will get a by into the final round through an RNG, while the rest of the pairs up will go as normal.
Post your challenges by Wednesday. I'll give you the dates after that.
Kenaron and I both won? Edit: Found the judgings
Just wanted to point out on mine, it is 3/1 because it is the opposite of [CARD]Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero
[/CARD], and is black/white because her soul is white but it is dead so it's black now. The ability comes from stuff like Mirror Strike and Reverse Damage in white, then Backlash and Traitor's Roar in black(/red, but I think it works).
Hmm, next challenge...
Create a land with a comes into play triggered ability (not comes into play tapped).
Bonuses:
- Produces exactly one color of mana
- Comes into play ability does not sacrifice lands or return them to hand
- Rare
- Tribal
- Not a creature or artifact
Challenge: Create a gold hybrid card (A hybrid card featuring more than two colors. Not to be confused with a tribrid where three different colors can be spent for one symbol.)
Bonus:
+1: Both of any color's allies are present.
+1: Both of any color's enemies are present.
+1: The card's CC is less than or equal to 3.
(These bonuses can be achieved through a cost of, for example, :symwu::symub::symbr: or :symwu::symbr:)
Make a card with 12 words or rules text or less without custom mechanics. (Words without a mechanical function like Domain and reminder text don't count, hence the necessity for the custom mechanic limitation.)
Bonus points:
Uses an ability word (like domain for instance)
Has converted mana cost 6 or greater
Has an ability that applies to both players equally
Is a creature out of the usual color(s) for it's type.
Has an ability that counters spells and/or abilities.

Quality 3/4
'your your graveyard', but nothing major

Rodrigolich dared you to make a hard counter. Bonus points for NOT using blue mana symbols and cantrips
Bonus 2/2
Balance 8/10
This is one of those cards that you question its power, but then you realize it's awesome. It's a green counter. How could that even work? Make it work against any instant/flash spell that a person could use. I'd argue it's an uncommon effect at least. Yet, I have to appreciate the design
Flavor 5/5
I wish this card was real. That name just invokes so many images.
Creativity 4/4
Green counter that actually works. And it's not avoid fate.
Quality 4/4

Hemlock dared you to make a CC instant (CC being a single color). Bonus points for having a single word name and using Planar Chaos (the set)'s flavor.
Bonus 2/2
Balance 8/10
Final Fortune in black. Except how many black combo decks are there? How many times does a black deck just need to untap once to win? Black has a different game plan then red, and while I like the card it doesn't fit into black's usual pattern. Then, again I'd pair it with Angel's Grace in a heartbeat. It's a good planeshift.
Flavor 3/5
Overtly ambigious flavor test. I'm just going to assume the name means something, but even then.
Creativity 2/4
Again, Final Fortune. Using Planar Chaos flavor doesn't just mean doing a planeshift and calling it a day.
Quality 4/4

Jimmy Groove had dared you to make a tribal instant. Bonus points for using a non-Lorwyn tribe (sans changeling) and having a pre-exisiting keyword
Bonus 2/2
I considered taking points off using Knight Tribal, but since I didn't specifiy Lorwyn Block, and Knight never got a proper Tribal spell, i'll let it pass.
Balance 7/10
First thing that struck me was memory issues. I quickly dissmissed that. Second thing that struck me, I miss White Weenie decks that could do truly amazing things turn three. I like the design, but part of me calls it too weak, part of me calls is too strong, so I met in the middle.
Flavor 4/5
It's more like Angel hybrid with a knight thrown in.
Creativity 3/4
Crusade with a bonus, cool, but even with the synergy, it's not enough
Quality 4/4
20/25
BlackBull dared you to make a creature with a CMC of 1, but a power of 5. Bonus points for NOT having to sacrifice permanents to keep it in play and NOT having it be Green or Black.
Bonus 2/2
Balance 7/10
I will never, never, never, never play this card turn one.
Flavor 5/5
That's some pretty cool flavor
Creativity 4/4
Ah, blue fatties with a draw back
Quality 3/4
An errenous 'i' in Djinn is distracting. Is it enough to detract? Well, I've been taking off for typos left and right, so yeah.

Challenge:
Create a frog card.
Bonuses:
Does not involve fliers.
Does not involve changing or setting power/toughness.
Is a creature.
Is mono-colored.
Bonus:
+1: Both of any color's allies are present.
+1: Both of any color's enemies are present.
+1: The card's CC is less than or equal to 3.
(These bonuses can be achieved through a cost of, for example, :symwu::symub::symbr: or :symwu::symbr:)
Bonus:
Does not share a color with either of the original cards.
Both cards are from different sets.
At least one of the cards is from Alpha.
Make a mono blue instant that doesn't deal with things on the stack.
Bonus:
- Doesn't include the word "permanent" or any card type (e.g. artifact, enchantment, etc.)
- Doesn't draw cards
- is not a hybrid
燃える時計秘密めく花の香り
www.pokemoncrossroads.com
Bonus
- Uses counters.
- Is not blue.
- Is a snow permanent with strong flavor.
- Its effect is cummulative if you have more than one in play.
Create a creature card that uses two out of color mechanics synergistically.
Bonus-
- One custom mechanic
- CMC of 5+ w/ 3 or more colored mana symbols
- Uses the flavor of Homelands
Make a card with 12 words or rules text or less without custom mechanics. (Words without a mechanical function like Domain and reminder text don't count, hence the necessity for the custom mechanic limitation.)
Bonus points:
Uses an ability word (like domain for instance)
Has converted mana cost 6 or greater
Has an ability that applies to both players equally
Is a creature out of the usual color(s) for it's type.
Has an ability that counters spells and/or abilities.
