Due to the success of the last Single Elimination Double Dare, I have recieved the honor to continue this contest through Kenaron's will. So, shall we?
Premise: We start with 16 players (If there is more interest, they'll be methodology behind in who gets a by to the next round). Each round, the designers will be paired up, and face each in a duel of card creating wits. The winner passes on, while the loser steps out.
Rules: Each player will issue a challenge, with a set of bonus points. The person recieving the challenge will make a card based on those parameters. However, if you feel the challenge is too unreasonable, you have the right to turn it around, and have the original poster have to design that card. Either way, the judge (I or another member) on a similar rubric based on the FCC's: 2 for bonus, 10 for balance, 5 for flavor, 4 for creativity, 4 for quality.
How to Set Up a Prompt: Start with a simple card concept, a creature that flies, an instant that prevents damage, an enchantment that gains, anything not to specific. Then list as many bonus points as you'd like. I'll pick the best two from there and there's the challenge.
So the question is, do you have an itch for card designs? Then sign up by posting and placing a challenge. (If you want to help judge the event, please send me a PM.)
First 16 get in, but if there is enough interest I'll let more in.

Keeper of AlaraWUBRG
Creature - Avatar
Flying

Whenever a land comes into play, if its controller controls another land with the same basic land type, remove it from the game. Flavor text coming later.
6/6
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.
Sacrifice a creature and then choose one - Draw cards equal to the power of the sacrificed creature; or target creature gets -X/-X until end of turn, where X is the sacrificed creature's power; or ~ deals damage to target player equal to the sacrificed creature's power.
As Grixis and Jund began to converge, necromancers found new uses for the sudden influx of mana.
Match 2
Challenge: Kenaron dared you to make a Rebel creature. Bonus points for not being Mono White or Black and having a creature type no other Rebel (sans the changeling bunch) has had.
Challenge Accepted:
Lin Sivvi, Vengeful Soul1(W/B)(W/B)
Legendary Creature - Spirit Rebel (R) (W/B)(W/B): Target creature blocking or blocked by Lin Sivvi, Vengeful Soul deals combat damage to its controller instead of to Lin Sivvi, Vengeful Soul this trun. Death has only strengthened her spirit of resistance.
3/1
Edit - Questions answered. I decided to go whole hog and legend up my card, mainly because I couldn't find any acceptable angry ghost artwork. I don't know if I'm supposed to link to relevant cards for templating or flavor, but there are some.
@Kenaron: I had one major idea for 0-cost creatures, opening up a thread in the main Custom forum. I don't think it should be a problem for the results of this round.
Vectis Sculpter - 1UU Artifact Creature - Human Artificer [M]
RG, :symtap:: Destroy target artifact. 1U: Target permanent becomes an artifact in addition to it's other types until end of turn.
0/2 By an odd twist of fate, the introduction of new magics turned the Esper social structure on it’s head. Suddenly it’s least talented workers became feared tyrants and despots.
I don't understand what would happen if, for example, Kenaron now double dared me. I have to make a card based on my challenge, but what does he have to do?
And sorry Kenaron, I considered making an uncommon red Goblin Rebel that randomly affected goblins, but the above design pulled my flavor strings.
I guess we are supposed to post a challenge for the next round with our submissions?
It never came up last time. I assume that Seratonin would decide what challenge I do, letting me do my own would lead to problems. I mean, I left in loopholes in case that happened. Don't worry, I accept your challenge. I'm curious if you were prepared to do it yourself, but lucky for you I'm just that crazy. When your card for the round is final, can you post what you would have done if I had dared you to take your own challenge?
Anyway, make a zero cost creature you say? Nonartifact and nonzero power are preferable but not required you say? I hear that loud and clear.
Golkyn, Son of Rohgahh0
Legendary Creature - Kobold Warrior {U}
Golkyn, Son of Rohgahh is red. Grandeur - Discard another card named Golkyn, Son of Rohgahh: Put two 0/1 red Kobold creature tokens named Kobolds of Kher Keep into play.
1/1
This is the idea I was working on in case my challenge was thrown back at me. I find it interesting that Gerrard's Mom went right for the same creature type as me, but that's probably because it's a good idea. Similarly he went with black/white hybrid as I prepared to do. I take this as a "great minds think alike" situation. Anyway, Kinship is a random effect, and notice how the word "Rebel" isn't anywhere in it's text. So this does satisfy all of the bonus points I put forward like I said would happen if my challenge were refused.
Ramosian Geist(W/B)(W/B)
Creature - Spirit Rebel {U} Kinship - At the beginning of your upkeep, you may look at the top card of your library. If it shares a creature type with Ramosian Geist, you may reveal it. If you do, tap target creature and that creature doesn’t untap during its controller’s next untap step.
2/2
IlixakGWUB
Creature - Spirit Frog (R)
Haunt
When Ilixak comes into play or the creature it haunts is put into the graveyard, target creature becomes a 3/3 Frog until the end of turn.
The creature Ilixak haunts is a 3/3 Frog. Like a singularity, ilixaks are detected most easily by looking around it rather than straight on.
3/3
Flag of Serenity 1W
Artifact - Equipment
Whenever a spell or ability an opponent controls is put onto the stack, if that spell or ability could target the equipped creature but doesn't, that opponent changes one of its targets the equipped creature.
Equip 1W
Dazzle Kanzashi1RR
Artifact - Equipment
Equipped creature gets -1/-1.
Whenever the equipped creature deals damage to another creature, gain control of that creature until the end of your next turn.
Equip 1R Wow, you're not that special after all
Gift of the Amesha1WW
Tribal Instant - Knight U
Knight creatures you control gain lifelink and get +1/+1 until end of turn.
At end of turn, if you gained 6 life or more this turn, draw a card.
To explain what would happen in case of a double dare:
In an event where a player finds a challenge too difficult, he or she can perform a 'double dare.' When this occurs, each player then has to do his or her OWN challenge, rather than the one given. Cards will be judged normally after that.
Not a perfect system, but it's what I figured would work.
To GM: Please don't post your challenge with you card. Actually, please don't post challenge for the next round at all. I want all the cards grouped together, and if you do go on, I don't want to search through pages of posts to find your challenge.
Premise: We start with 16 players (If there is more interest, they'll be methodology behind in who gets a by to the next round). Each round, the designers will be paired up, and face each in a duel of card creating wits. The winner passes on, while the loser steps out.
