@Ericku: You were right to get last rounds card was made for multiplayer play. You can play any spell in the game(As long as you have the mana for it), provided you have a friendly player on your side. You can also toss it at someone as your about to die and name something really random, letting them have the ace up their sleeve for later on.(I understand now, when you die all cards you own are removed from the game. Multiplayer is silly that way though, I steal your card, it vanishes when you die?)

Just some general comments on the split cards. I find it interresting that no one put flavor text on their cards. That is good in a sense. It is kind of traditional for that to happen given the limited design space. So the key is to chose two good words that work together, make sense together, and for the mechanics to reflect that. So that is what I am looking for in flavor.

This challenge is a luck challenge and some thinking.
1. Make a card, any card.
2. This card needs to be powerful enough to be able to beat at least one of two cards I will choose at random.
3. But the card can not be so powerful that it beats both of another two cards I choose at random.
If the card you make satisfies these conditions you don't get an X.

Good question Eledin. In many cases it will objectively beat a card (remove it from play, put it in the grave, or take it out of the game...) There will be some room for argument, in most cases if it is ambiguous I will rule in your favor.
Yes check the search cards function... there is a random card feature.
in the upper right. I will throw out unglued and unhinged cards if they come up.
Also: if you all fail the test... I will spare the best card of your cards from an X.
If you all pass, the worst card of the buch will get an X. So still try and make a decent card.
Make a split card that makes token creatures on both halves.

which counterspell beats atleast one of (actually both!), so far so good.
and the other two random cards I chose are:
3. Flailing Orge and Anhk of Mishra
unfortunately Counterspell beats BOTH of these so your card gets you an X.
However someone else makes Blue Elemental Blast, that
beats Mana Clash, but doesn't beat both Flailing Orge and Anhk of Mishra so that player is ok for the round.

Goblin Macethrower's use the bulls eye theory, if you throw enough maces, one is bound to hit.
