Given the time constraints we're doing a free-for-all round. That means each of the 5 judges will judge all 11 of your cards (which is why I'm asking judges to start compiling some judgings on their home machines when they can to cut down on the post-match time) and the person with the most points wins!
In the spirit of direct combat, your theme for this round is to make a Fighter of some kind. :fighter:, a gladiator, whatever, but a creature based on fighting. (Round fulfillment should be an easy get this time guys)
Go!
Bonus Points:
Is not red - 1 Point
Use Mana Symbols in card - 1 Point
Supply rendered card art - 3 Points (NEW: Judges may rate card art, giving anywhere from 1-3 of the allowed bonus points, 1 being the minimum for simply supplying the art) Point Breakdown:
Players may reference the Player List for match information.
Now with that out of the way, you all have until midnight EST on the 28th (meaning the moment when Monday the 28th becomes March 1st) to submit your cards. Good luck!
Judges, please don't judge until I give the word, thank you. Please do start compiling judging's, however, to try and finish the process off.

9/11 of the Feb. finalists have submitted. If judges could start putting things up that would be great, but when it hits midnight EST all player submisssions will be ignored, and edits will lead to disqualification! C'mon yoyamime and Wanderer359!!
Yes, you are judging all 11 cards, as I specifically stated at the opening, and specifically asked you all to start compiling judgings so we might get done close to Feb's end... Jeez...
From now on, judge's will read the threads or be disqualified as judges. No more sending out PM's for me..

when I posted my card, yours was blank, and mine is way more interesting
I assume that this is in regards to the argument between Flacoman and yourself. Honestly, I doubt any form of plagiarism occurred. The cards really aren't that close in nature, only sharing color and double strike as a mechanic. (Your card is more of a cheaper, walking humility, whereas his is more along the lines of a WW creature.)
Anyways, I'm looking foward to the judging of this round. Everyone submitted what look to be very good cards.
I loved judging this round!
And I'm glad people seemed more wording-wary this round.
I'd also like to give my Judge's Choice to Zye-Ead Champion for having a cool ability, even if it's not rated the highest.
:::::Mr Bloody Minded:::::
Card - Sedenta the Hound of Chulainn
Flavor/Creativity - 1/5 – Based on the Irish mythological figure of Setanta of Cú Chulainn, spelling is curiously altered, but the influence is obvious. Not very creative to use a real-world work. Abilities are not really related to one another, and seem to be tacked on in an effort to make it combat-related. Why does it have what it does? Balance - 3/5 – Heavily overcosted. This is effectively a 2/4 vigilance creature played as an instant. The equipment search has variable use, but the triple-white makes this card quite unplayable. Even the Onslaught legends that costed this amount at least had a more frightening effect. Wording – 3.5/5 – Should be “Protection from black and from red.” Missing commas. Round Fulfillment (RF) - 5/5 – It fights
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 17.5
:::::Meteor:::::
Card – Apocalypse Knight
Flavor/Creativity - 3/5 – No race in creature type, as Knights generally tend to be something else besides knights. Whether this is a “human” or a “bringer” of the apocalypse. Self-pumping from dealing damage fits the theme of drawing strength for damage. Balance - 2/5 – Five mana isn’t hard to come by, but this thing regenerates, and it’s power and toughness effectively increase exponentially each turn. It’s horribly difficult to kill with regeneration, and after one combat round, it’ll begin to dominate combat. Kills a player by itself in 4 attacks. Wording – 5/5 – It works Round Fulfillment (RF) - 5/5 – It fights
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 20
:::::BenGreen:::::
Card – Arbiter of Humility
Flavor/Creativity – 2.5/5 – A creature with humility in its name acting like a humility. Flavor text gives bonus for making sense. Balance – 3/5 – It’s a 2/2 doublestriker for :1mana::symw::symw: is borderline strong, but then you give it an ability that makes sure it’s the best creature on the board… Wording –4/5 – “Double Strike” Round Fulfillment (RF) – 3.5/5 – It fights, but it’s also a cleric with a noncombat ability…
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 18
:::::Flacoman:::::
Card – Kisu, The two-headed wolf
Flavor/Creativity – 2/5 – It’s terribly boring with only two words in the text box. Otherwise a 1 if not for the two-headed bit mirroring the double-strike and the flavor text acknowledging that. Unfortunately, it’s still terribly boring in terms of gameplay. Balance – 4/5 – It’s costed quite appropriately Wording – 4.5/5 – It works, but the name should be in all capitals. Round Fulfillment (RF) - 5/5 – It fights and strikes…
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 20.5
:::::SALAd:::::
Card – Sinblade, Phyrexian Scuta
Flavor/Creativity – 4/5 – It has antifear, and has pseudorampageish thing. Not really anything used before. Interesting idea to legendarize a currently existing card, unfortunately unrelated to the original Scuta. Balance – 4/5 – It’s effectively an 8/4 when blocked, and could becomes things like a 12/4 or higher. In the end, this seems a bit too heavy for 5 mana, but it’s creature-only, and works as effectively as the basilisk ability only with damage. Wording – 5/5 – It works Round Fulfillment (RF) - 5/5 – It fights and pumps
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 23
:::::AlphaInsidious:::::
Card – Bravehawk, the Righter
Flavor/Creativity – 2.5/5 – It’s a Native-Americanish legend… Why is it in magic?... No race. Balance – 1/5 – It’s a 3/4 first striker for 4 mana. That’s strong on its own. And to boot, it has an amazing ability that just about permanently locks down your opponent unless they’re using artifacts or noncreatures. Wording – 5/5 – It works Round Fulfillment (RF) – 3.5/5 – It fights, but its activated ability isn’t combat.
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 17
:::::Athani:::::
Card – Taunting Battlemage
Flavor/Creativity – 3.5/5 – Battlemage seems less likely to be a “Human Warrior.” Maybe if “wizard” was part of the creature types. Spirit-popping seems to be rather strange. Balance – 3/5 – A bit overcosted at 5 mana for a 2/3 that is likely to die in the first attack. Underpowered in that its ability will likely pop out only one to two spirits ever. Taunting elf covers the lure department, and spirit-popping seems unlike this. Wording – 4.5/5 – Why is “Taunting Battlemage” bolded? All else is well. Round Fulfillment (RF) – 3/5 – It’s a battlemage that pops out tokens. It also fights as a 2/3.
Bonus - 2/5
TOTAL – 16
:::::ivkost:::::
Card – Warrior of Death
Flavor/Creativity – 4/5 – Blatantly put, the name is really bad. However, the ability is actually quite new, and I really like it. Seems like the total opposite of requinox’s. Balance – 5/5 – A 2/2 for 3 isn’t bad on its own, but the doubleblack is compensated by a rather nice self-puming ability that can be used as creature kill as well. Wording – 5/5 – All is well Round Fulfillment (RF) – 5/5 – Both its abilities deal with creatures’ death and/or power and toughness. All works.
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 24
:::::requinox:::::
Card – Hero of the Fallen
Flavor/Creativity – 5/5 –However, the ability is actually quite new, and I really like it. Seems like the total opposite of ivkosts’s. Balance – 4/5 – A 2/2 first strike for :symw::symw: is on the level of the ColorKnights, but with this pump ability, it’s a bit high. Wording – 4/5 – 2nd ability could be worded differently in an individual counter removal basis. Round Fulfillment (RF) – 5/5 – Both its abilities deal with creatures’ death and/or power and toughness. All works.
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 23
:::::Wanderer359:::::
Card – Hero of the Fallen
Flavor/Creativity – 2/5 – Both bushido and uptapping when attacked has been done before. Although not together, pairing of two abilities isn’t too creative. The untapping when opponent blocks gains some brownie points. Balance – 4/5 – It’s a bit underpowered for a legend. At best, it’s a 4/4, and it’s for 4 mana anyways. Not too useful as a legend. Wording – 5/5 – It works Round Fulfillment (RF) – 5/5 – All abilities trigger during combat.
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 21
:::::yoyamime:::::
Card – Zye-Ead Champion
Flavor/Creativity – 3.5/5 – Name seems too forced, and seems off-color for black and why is it a nomad if it doesn’t attack and/or move? Too bad too, because this is one of the most creatively simple ideas I’ve seen to date. Balance – 4.5/5 – A bit overcosted is all. Being a defender and all. Very minor. Wording – 5/5 – It works Round Fulfillment (RF) – 5/5 – All are based on combat defending.
Bonus - 5/5

In case it wasn't obvious, the round is now closed for submissions and edits. They will be served with disqualification (and please argue about your cards through PM)
Flavor/Creativity - Taunting yes, but I can't really connect a 'battlemage' with summoning spiritlings... maybe 'summoner' would be a better term. 4/5
Balance - Five mana for a 2/3 seems kinda overcosted. 4/5
Wording - Nothing wrong. 5/5
Round fulfilment - Not exactly a 'fighter' fighter. 4/5
Bonus - No rendered art. 2/5 Total --- 19/25
#6 ivkost (warrior of Death)
Flavor/Creativity - It feeds on death, and causes death itself. Nice. I can't give full marks on the creativity side though. 4.5/5
Balance - Looks printable to me. 5/5
Wording - No errors. 5/5
Round fulfilment - Nothing I can deduct from. 5/5
Bonus - Awesome picture. 5/5 Total --- 24.5/25
#13 requinox (Hero of the Fallen)
Flavor/Creativity - Ability goes well together enough. 'Remembrance' is a nice word. 5/5
Balance - Looks good too. 5/5
Wording - Nothing wrong, though I prefer it to be "Remove a remembrance counter from ~: ~ gets +1/+1 until end of turn." 4.5/5
Round fulfilment - What else can I say? 5/5
Bonus - You've got it all. 5/5 Total --- 24.5/25
#21 yoyamine (Zye-Ead Champion)
Flavor/Creativity - A non-Wall with defender? Blocking multiple creatures is white. 2.5/5
Balance - I wouldn't want to pay 4 mana for a 2/1. Off color abilities. 3.5/5
Wording - 'Entice' shouldn't be capitalized. 4.5/5
Round fulfilment - A... cleric? Defender? Blocking multiple creatures. Totally out. Are you sure you read the round requirements? 1/5
Bonus - At least you get full marks here. 5/5 Total --- 16.5/25
#23 Wanderer359 (Buradesu)
Flavor/Creativity - Samurai ability Blade Runner ability. Flavorful, but not creative enough. 4/5 (Made you look eh?)
Balance - Could be slightly bigger, I see no problems with it being a 2/3 or 3/2. 4.5/5
Wording - Er, where's the creature type line? 4/5
Round fulfilment - Good enough. 5/5
Bonus - I gotta check out this Snowskadi dude. 5/5 Total --- 22.5/25
#31 AlphaInsidious (Bravehawk)
Flavor/Creativity - I don't really get why a fighter would tap other creatures... But that's an awesome ability. 4/5
Balance - Or maybe too awesome an ability. Not unlikely you can lock down every non other nonartifact creature in two turns. Sick. 3/5
Wording - Nitpick: Tap all creatures of the chosen color. You should put just his name the second time when you mention him in the text box. 3.5/5
Round fulfilment - Not bad. 5/5
Bonus - The guy in the art just looks like an American Gladiator or something... just can't look at it without cracking up. 4/5 Total --- 19.5/25
#34 Meteor (Apocalypse Knight)
Flavor/Creativity - I'd most likely associate the Apocalypse with death and destruction, but this one grows and regenerates. Most knights have first strike too. 2/5
Balance - Fair enough. 5/5
Wording - No problems. 5/5
Round fulfilment - Cool. 5/5
Bonus - Not red. Used mana symbols. Great picture. 5/5 Total --- 22/25
#39 Flacoman (Kisu)
Flavor/Creativity - A two-headed wolf should be a Wolf Mutant (j/k) I can't really give high points on creativity because of its vanillaness. 3.5/5
Balance - Printable. 5/5
Wording - Could it go wrong? 5/5
Round fulfilment - A wolf fighter... it's kinda farfetched. 3/5
Bonus - I thik that's more like two wolves But let's not go into that. 5/5 Total --- 21.5/25
#44 SALAd (Sinblade)
Flavor/Creativity - A black creature with 'reverse fear'? Doesn't connect. 4/5
Balance - Powerful, but it's legendary anyway. 5/5
Wording - Nothing wrong with it. 5/5
Round fulfilment - It's a fighter alright. 5/5
Bonus - The art doesn't really fit the definition of 'scuta'. 3.5/5 Total --- 22.5/5
#45 BenGreen (Arbiter of Humility)
Flavor/Creativity - An 'arbiter' that has doublestrike doesn't make much sense to me. 3.5/5
Balance - It's Humility incarnate! For Ford's sake... no. 2.5/5
Wording - The text is fine, though you put it as 'Human Cleric Legend' in the pic. 4.5/5
Round fulfilment - A fighter... not a cleric.Though the ability is very fighterish. 4/5
Bonus - Not red. No mana symbols. And what's up with that pic? He's not even fighting. 2/5
Total --- 16.5/25
#52 Mr Bloody Minded (Sedenta)
Flavor/Creativity - Has tons of unrelated abilities, but all of them just somehow comes together to make Sedenta a great defensive fighter. 4/5
Balance - Rather white intensive, but balanced. 5/5
Wording - "Protection from red and from black". 4/5
Round fulfilment - I don't see how people can miss the round conditions... this get full marks of course. 5/5
Bonus - Not red. Mana symbols. I don't think the art really fits the picture though, the guy in the art isn't fighting and all. 3.5/5 Total --- 21.5/25

TOTAL – 24
:::::requinox:::::
All works.
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 23
:::::Wanderer359:::::
Wording – 5/5 – It works
Round Fulfillment (RF) – 5/5 – All abilities trigger during combat.
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 21
:::::yoyamime:::::
Very minor.
Wording – 5/5 – It works
Round Fulfillment (RF) – 5/5 – All are based on combat defending.
Bonus - 5/5
TOTAL – 23
Native American culture is chock-full of potentially interesting flavor for Magic, I'm just looking ahead, lol...
-Alpha
Sorry????
The rules dont say that.
Anyway.
Total --- 19/25
#6 ivkost (warrior of Death)
Flavor/Creativity - It feeds on death, and causes death itself. Nice. I can't give full marks on the creativity side though. 4.5/5
Balance - Looks printable to me. 5/5
Wording - No errors. 5/5
Round fulfilment - Nothing I can deduct from. 5/5
Bonus - Awesome picture. 5/5
Total --- 24.5/25
#13 requinox (Hero of the Fallen)
Flavor/Creativity - Ability goes well together enough. 'Remembrance' is a nice word. 5/5
Balance - Looks good too. 5/5
Wording - Nothing wrong, though I prefer it to be "Remove a remembrance counter from ~: ~ gets +1/+1 until end of turn." 4.5/5
Round fulfilment - What else can I say? 5/5
Bonus - You've got it all. 5/5
Total --- 24.5/25
#21 yoyamine (Zye-Ead Champion)
Flavor/Creativity - A non-Wall with defender? Blocking multiple creatures is white. 2.5/5
Balance - I wouldn't want to pay 4 mana for a 2/1. Off color abilities. 3.5/5
Wording - 'Entice' shouldn't be capitalized. 4.5/5
Round fulfilment - A... cleric? Defender? Blocking multiple creatures. Totally out. Are you sure you read the round requirements? 1/5
Bonus - At least you get full marks here. 5/5
Total --- 16.5/25
#23 Wanderer359 (Buradesu)
Flavor/Creativity - Samurai ability Blade Runner ability. Flavorful, but not creative enough. 4/5 (Made you look eh?)
Balance - Could be slightly bigger, I see no problems with it being a 2/3 or 3/2. 4.5/5
Wording - Er, where's the creature type line? 4/5
Round fulfilment - Good enough. 5/5
Bonus - I gotta check out this Snowskadi dude. 5/5
Total --- 22.5/25
Total --- 19.5/25
#34 Meteor (Apocalypse Knight)
Flavor/Creativity - I'd most likely associate the Apocalypse with death and destruction, but this one grows and regenerates. Most knights have first strike too. 2/5
Balance - Fair enough. 5/5
Wording - No problems. 5/5
Round fulfilment - Cool. 5/5
Bonus - Not red. Used mana symbols. Great picture. 5/5
Total --- 22/25
#39 Flacoman (Kisu)
Flavor/Creativity - A two-headed wolf should be a Wolf Mutant (j/k) I can't really give high points on creativity because of its vanillaness. 3.5/5
Balance - Printable. 5/5
Wording - Could it go wrong? 5/5
Round fulfilment - A wolf fighter... it's kinda farfetched. 3/5
Bonus - I thik that's more like two wolves But let's not go into that. 5/5
Total --- 21.5/25
#44 SALAd (Sinblade)
Flavor/Creativity - A black creature with 'reverse fear'? Doesn't connect. 4/5
Balance - Powerful, but it's legendary anyway. 5/5
Wording - Nothing wrong with it. 5/5
Round fulfilment - It's a fighter alright. 5/5
Bonus - The art doesn't really fit the definition of 'scuta'. 3.5/5
Total --- 22.5/5
Total --- 21.5/25
