Enlightened Guardian :4mana::symw::symw::symw:
Creature - Soldier Cleric
If you control a plains and have lost 8 or more life this turn, you may play Enlightened Guardian without paying it's mana cost.
You may play Enlightened Guardian any time you could play an instant.
Enlightened Guardian may block any number of creatures.
When Enlightened Guardian is dealt damage, you gain that much life.
5/8

Slicing Shift
Sorcery
You may remove the top 10 cards from your library and top 5 cards from graveyard from the game, if you do, you may play Slicing Shift with out paying its mana cost and as an instant.
Slicing Shift may not be countered by spells or abilities.
Target player removes half of his or her library rounded up and draws one card.

Eternal Legacy
:5mana::symg::symg::symg:
Sorcery
You may sacrifice 3 legendary lands rather than pay Eternal Legacy's mana cost.
Search your library for up to two legendary permanents and put them into play. Shuffle your library afterwards.

Shallow Eater - :10mana::symb::symb::symb:
Creature - Horror
You may remove your graveyard from the game, instead of paying Shallow Eater's mana cost, if you do it comes into play with a -1/-1 counter for each removed card fewer than 15.
Trample, fear.
15/15
Quote from AlphaInsidious »
Headstrong Cutthroat 3RR
Creature- Samurai Spirit
You may pay half of your life rounded up rather than pay Headstrong Cutthroat's converted mana cost.
Haste, Trample.
First Strike
6/1
The poll will be up for 2 days. The two contestants who get the most votes will be eliminated from the contest.
I voted for meteor since I'm not overly fond of 15-costed creatures. Also, the alternative casting cost has the potential of making it ridiculously overpowered, both with milling effects and reanimation.
Nitpick: The Eater only costs thirteen, not fifteen -- but it does have p/t of 15/15. That would make it larger (and costlier) than the Krosan Cloudscraper, which is supposed to represent the biggerrest monzter evah oneoneone.

Ok, so it looks like we have a tie! AlphaInsidious is eliminated, but there is a tie between Meteor and JohnJones, who have 6 votes each. Now I have two options. I could simply eliminate both Meteor and JohnJones, or I can put up a tiebreaker poll.
Or, I can just make up a new rule, that when there is a tie, I get to choose who is eliminated, being the host of the contest and all.
yeah - obviously I disagree with you, John. Spam Warning!.....Amazing - even in a forum where posts don't count, there's spam. That proves that getting rid of the post-count won't help getting rid of spam! Thans for this excellent example! - Craven
Yes, let the judge ranking decide, or you Athani. But no tie-breaker poll cause that only makes it go slower.
By the way just imagine having the 6/1 card TWICE in your opening hand. Like, Island, attack for 12 with a Force Spike in hand just in case you have Fire. You're at 8, go. :/
You really just need to embrace the rage. I keep a small colony of hamsters next to my computer and every time I lose a match to mana screw I throw one against the wall.
Well, it seems like most people like the third option, which means we'll go with that from now on.
From now on, whenever there is a tie in the elimination poll, the one with the worst judge ranking will be eliminated. If there is somehow a tie in the judge ranking too, I will decide who goes.
Since Meteor had the worst judge ranking of the two this round, he is eliminated. Thanks for playing Meteor!
