Clairvoyagoyf1UU Creature — Lhurgoyf
Each player plays with the top three cards of their library revealed.
Clairvoyagoyf's power is equal to the number of card types among cards revealed from player's libraries and its toughness is equal to that number plus 1. "Your mind races but never escapes it."
—Sarpadian Empires XIII
Here's a classic DCI design that I did which has never seen the light of day until now. It's pretty obvious what I was going for. I wanted to do a very unique gofy, one that captured a very real, psychological terror essence. The type that you would experience when out alone in the wild for long periods of time. It might be a little undercosted, but there's less direct means to control the power and toughness hold. Elements like Brainstorm and Serum Visions pull double duty, but the reach is still shallow compared to Tarmogoyf, for the range that's exposed.
Phaedra1 Creature — Faerie Hydra
Flying
If Phaedra would be dealt lethal damage, remove all damage from Phaedra, then summon two creature tokens that are copies of it instead.
Tap ten Faeries you control: Untap target permanent and gain control of it.
2/2 Just one could shatter all of the world's dreams.
Here's a reprise I did my best to make exciting. Might be a little out of color, but I wanted to steer away from the blue black essence and open up into something new, to give the Faeries more domain to expand upon. Breaking this ground wants to put more attention on the character of the faerie creature type, and less on the dominant images that get fixed in from the masses of designs locked in a specific color. It wants to open up the vision of the world and give new room to breath. Obviously, I was at a major absence of art for this, so had to work with what was available. I think it's a cute, imaginative variation on the hydra essence. They're like united in character.
As a bonus, enjoy some more Universes Beyond designs from my original collection. These have been amended only aesthetically, and want to showcase the vision of power that I strived to live up to for each character.
