This a design throwback to Shadowmage Infiltrator. The first notion of this card saw it as a fulminator styled BR design. When it started to etch out, I had something that was basically monored, but had to sport the multicolor credential. I honestly don't mind the strong red lean, because I feel like it covers all the red a deck would need, and decks would splash red exclusively for this card. Wrestling with the discontent that I originally envisioned a red black design, and now had a blue red design, I challenged myself with a new vision of a tri-color version instead. This designation would add something really unique to the concept, and wants to make it pop incredibly. I then tuned the keywords to suit, and I feel like, honestly it's the better of the two designs. I just know how alpha the first design would be, especially in Standard, where it probably dominate in a meta top deck.
Emanations of Rage1RR Enchantment
Whenever you attack an opponent, you may summon a red permanent from your graveyard with converted mana cost equal to or lesser than an attacking creature you control. This ability triggers only once for each opponent you attack. The monster inside you is real—but it's not alone.
For this design I wanted something flashy in red that did something in red which serves as a delicacy crumb. Meaning, it's rare and exotic for its function, and exquisite for its power. I had originally thought to limit this to creatures and enchantments, but decided it was better open source development to just red color tag/color restrict it instead. I kinda wanted to further restrict the effect to "lesser than only", but I realize how dry and contre that makes the design. We instantly reach a level of restrictions that suggest we don't even want to bother playing this card at all.
